When I briefly stayed at my partners house in Edinburgh I seen green signs around leith here and there, not many. When you left the city no one votes for them or wants them. Compared to what I think your on about is in a constituency which is a far smaller region and is difficult to win as it is simply plurality meaning it heavily favour larger parties that have large vote that is isolated. Compared with small parties their vote will be spread across a larger area. Scotland still has more seat for fptp than regional list.
