Thank you so much for sharing. Today I went on pinterest to find activities for my toddler and as I was looking I thought of a binder for him to learn. I immediately started looking for binders and what people are doing these days with their toddlers. I used kid zone for print outs with my last child and ABC mouse and she is super smart. Stays on high honor roll. I wanted to try something different with him just to make sure he stays interested in what we a learning. I appreciate you taking time out to show how you do this.
Awesome! I just bought a laminator. Haven't gotten around to using it yet but I'm planning on making a daily/weekly routine chart for my 3 year old (trying it to help with the tantrums!)
Thank you so much! I've only ever had to laminate "small projects", and that was in my younger life lol. Now I have kids that I Homeschool and essentially laminating is a must have. And I've been trying to figure out if I should cut the smaller things before or after and we had thought before due to the fact that it gets sealed on all edges. Do you know if you can use an edger (for making curved edges) once the document is laminated? Thanks for verifying with a visual, I really appreciate it.
@@MommaAlia awesome! I got mine from Amazon as well. I'll definitely give it a try both ways. A lot of what I print already has curved edges when you cut them out. Hope you guys have a good Spring!
Amazing laminating video, very informative. Also Great ideas for teaching at home since Covid-19!!! I'm definitely subscribing and I will look for your tutorials often. Thank You!!!
Do you need to print on card stock or back the regular paper with card stock before you laminate? If you don’t precut before you laminate, can you cut after you laminate? Is that easy to do and look good? Thanks for the video.
Do you spiral bound your print out curriculum? Or do you just put them into binders? I’m doing mostly pdf based curricula but I want to have it as a book. Just wondering if you have a video on something like that.
Hi.. after laminating ,how did you cut them into pieces using the scale.. please send the name and link of the product..thanks for this wonderful video
Yes, most should work but some erase better than others! I found the brand names leave less residue when erasing versus ones found at the dollar stores. Either will work but the brand names require less frequent cleaning!
Thanks for the tip to cut the pieces before hand. I see the seal that your talking about. I needed to come across this video before I got lamination happy.😂
Hi, ive got laminates but my daughter can easily fold it. It seems too thin. But I saw some laminates at children center which is very thick. Any advise how to get that done?
There are thicker lamination sheets. I think it’s 5 m instead of the standard 3 m. Just have to make sure your machine is compatible with the thicker one!
All the ones I’ve listed in my two videos (if you search momma Alia favorite free printables they should pop up) are all free! I usually got them from Pinterest!
Definitely! I’ve made over 100 printables now and I just replaced my ink cartridge (we also regularly use the printer for other things so the printable weren’t the only thing using ink). Our ink only costs $10 which is the typical price of one of those books. Plus you can print out exactly what you need or want. With the books I always felt like I was compromising on something I was looking for. Not with the printables!
Carolyn Harmon I’ve worked out that it’s not cheaper...the lamination the Velcro the ink the paper...however it is tailored. So it depends on what you want out of this. You can go and the local £1 or dollar store and buy these books but they very limited and doing it this way you get to pick what your child needs.
Yes! Page protectors are very inexpensive. I got 100 for $5 at Walmart. Target dollar spot has some heavy duty ones for $1 right now with the school stuff. Hopefully the targets in UK have them too🤞🏻
Who else is watching this in 2020, bcuz we have to home school our children now?
Thank you so much for everything. I appreciate you.
Happy to help!💕

Yes! I just made something for my daughter's easter basket that I laminated myself then edged the corners with a cutter stamp from amazon!

I love this, thank you
This was so helpfull. Thank you .

Hi.. after laminating ,how did you cut them into pieces using the scale.. please send the name and link of the product..thanks for this wonderful video
I don’t have a name or link, it was just a cutter I found in the scrapbooking section at Walmart. Sorry I can’t be more help!
Thanks for the video! Is there a reson why you pre-cut the cards? Do you have to leave some of the transparent lamination around them at the end?
Yes you do! If you did and you cut the paper after the lamination the seal would break!
Singing*Who put the cookie in the cookie jar who me ?? Thanks so much for this, I was wondering how to do the shapes and the velcro dots !!!! =)
Hahah now I’m singing it! Happy to help!
Thank you

Did you use the transparent velcro?
Very helpful. Thanks 😊
Yay! So happy to hear it🥰🤍
Wow thanks just downloaded the shapes
Enjoy!
Great video! Thanks! 💗

Where do you find your educational printables?
Can you write on it with the dry erase pen?

Hahah happy to help!
Can I ask what thickness of the laminating film did you use?
3 mil! Never had an issue with needing more!

So helpful! What's the name of your paper cutter?
I’m not sure but it was only $7 at Walmart! Nothing special!
Hello may i know..what micro laminating film is that u use??
All links are in the description!
Hey wanted to ask where did you get those printables from ? If you have could you send it to me :) thanks
They’re linked in this video and others I have on my channel about our favorite educational printables!
A4 sheet ok for printing or any other sheet need for printing .please suggest
I would use standard printer paper! 8.5x11 inches!
You have a handy laminator.
It’s awesome!
new sub! Where do you get your printables? Are they free by chance?
All the ones I’ve listed in my two videos (if you search momma Alia favorite free printables they should pop up) are all free! I usually got them from Pinterest!
Once cut, will it stay together or we should heat it again?
Nope, it should stay together as long as you don’t too close and break the seal!
Thank you thank you thank you
You are very welcome!
Helpful! Thank you :)
Yay! Happy to!😊
Please, tell me what laminator do you use?
The one in the video was one recalled so I linked the one I use now in the description! Works just as well!
hello mam.can you share soft copy of activities?thanks in advance
Hello. How can I make a thicker flashcards?
I would use a card stock and a thicker lamination sheet like 5 millimeter. Just make sure your laminator is set up for it!
Super helpful!
Unrelated: Why was I picturing Jessica Simpson talking 😂 (voice twin)
Yay! And hahah I’ll have to listen to some of her videos!😂
❤❤❤❤❤thank you very much
Happy to help!
cool
What do you do to avoid having the cutouts fall off?
I found as long as I support the end that’s waiting to go in, they don’t slide around much at all!
With the ink for printing and the laminating sheets is it really saving money as opposed to buying the books?

notes and things I mean if you use it for more than one child it’s saving money.
Momma Alia what printer do you use? My current printer eats the ink like it is it’s main job thanks!!
@@MommaAlia where can i find the laminate printables
Thank you!!!
No problem!
Where did you get printables?
I have two separate videos where I link all of them!
Can I cut after lamination,as i will get lamination service from a shop
That what i m thinkng so i will cut out first than get lamination.
Cut first before lamination as much as you can. You can cut it once it's laminated just not around an edge of the paper between the lamination!
What are the materials
How do the small pieces not move? They always move on me
I try to hold it up while it's going in but other than that, I don't do anything special!
Where do I get all the sheets???
Links in the description for the educational printables and laminating sheets!
great video:)
Thank you so much!
Where can i find that machine at im really intrested
Link is in the description!
How thick can a sheet be to laminate it?
Depends on the laminating machine! Mine does both 3.5 and 5 mil. Yours should specify!
I use dollar store self-laminating 2.5$ for 3 , then I cut off by piece.
Awesome!
How to download the printables??
You’ll need to go to the individual links!
What are these dots called?
You can search velcro dots on amazon and they should come up! I also have a direct link to them in the description if you want the exact name!
Is it a cool laminator or hot
It’s hot
thankyou i subscribe to your channel :)
Thank you!!
Lamination is SOOOOO expensive in my country that it hurts my heart to see any leftover space in the lamination pouch hahah
Can't afford a laminater I cry 😢😢😭
Try going on QVC and do payment plans. They will send it to you and you just make payments and they don't check your credit.
But I'm in the uk
Get some binder pockets instead
Yes! Page protectors are very inexpensive. I got 100 for $5 at Walmart. Target dollar spot has some heavy duty ones for $1 right now with the school stuff. Hopefully the targets in UK have them too🤞🏻
@@MommaAlia We don't have targets here in the UK
