I just want to say to the owner who didn't get the award so that way it stopped could earn the next title was probably there to just expose the dog for its first time or maybe second time to a rally or a competition point I love seeing people like this even if you don't win exposing your animal to be situations and everything and getting more experience yourself or with your own animal is truly what I praise I don't want anyone to ever be disheartened because they didn't win an award the first time.

For me, it wasn't not winning anything but the comments the judge made to me about my dog and about my prospects training dogs. She had the gall to tell me that I didn't belong training a dog, and that my terrier never stood a chance because she's a small breed. I have trained my boxer now instead and I'm going to prove that rotten egg wrong. I don't mind if I'm told that we didn't do well enough to Q, but I do mind when the judge insults my dog just because she's a small terrier. Now, I did decide not to pursue it further with her because my terrier showed severe anxiety at the show and had trouble in buildings later elsewhere, but dang! Nothing like a bad judge trying to discourage a newbie. That was my first show. It's been 5 years and after my boxer achieved a moving down and pivot at heel, I've decided to try again with a different dog.

Its always hard in a new environment, tho in my practice class, we actually perform harder moves than this. I really should SHOW my dog for real, if covid ever ever ends. Ugh.

@@OzarkRose Join a training club so she can be acclimated to the environmentals with other dogs.We have all kinds of small dogs competing. Mine is a GS mix practicing in company of dachsunds and terriers and poodles and golden doodles. At my club, there is a door at the far end of the room and my dog kept getting distracted. "Wonder whats behind door number 1?" TOOO FUNNY!!! I finally came in really early one week to introduce her to the closet behind the door. Goofball.

This makes me excited to start! I have a 2 and a half year old male golden who knows obedience and is taking CGC classes (was told by the one running the course he’ll definitely pass). I wish I would’ve started him in sport sooner but it’s a good time for him since his obedience is now as close to perfection as I can get it.

Lovely job! A couple observations: her leash could be A LOT looser to cut down on point loss from tightness, and slow down a smidge :)
