She’s a hairdresser herself and decided to turn up 45 mins late? Yeah I’d have told her she’s way too late you’re more patient than me 😂 amazing work 🤩
The balls on this lady. I wouldn’t dare have the nerve to show up 45 minutes late and ask for a more time consuming service instead of what I originally booked. I would’ve charged her card for the no show and have her reschedule You are very kind
I wish you were my hairstylist! Mine flat out refused to get me to a golden blonde and my hair is the healthiest ever, same color as your client here 🤷🏻♀️
Hairdresser here... Planning on doing the exact same thing with my hair but by myself! Unlike her I'm not phased by cutting off length. Came here looking for inspo and it was exactly how I had visualised! Beautiful result!
How much should this cost on average? I understand there are many factors affecting price like color correction, product amount, time, etc. My hair is burgundy over old bleached ends from highlights about 1 1/2 years ago. I only have two applications of red on my hair.
Ugh, I aspire to foil this quickly and neatly one day. You the ishhhh girl! ❤ love your content as a Cosmo student who aspires to be a color specialist one day!
Beautiful outcome. Every client is different, and vice versa for stylists. I like to put hair integrity first, there’s always a little compromise, but ultimately healthy hair is pretty hair, no matter the color. There’s levels of damage- and you’re going to have some damage regardless. Aftercare is super important, as well as a good trim and touch up schedule. Excellent job, and great communication!
You are the best blonder. Some people would go too ashy too gray when doing white blonde. I like your formulation. It always perfect they always look natural as they are never too gray. They have this white light natural yellow how to say a sandy blonde, thats what I wanted.
Wow!! That really came out great! I'm wanting to go a light ash blonde from heavily dyed red, so this gave me something to think about. I also plan to lob it to get rid of the damage, but now I think I might grow that processed part out a little longer before I take the plunge. So glad I came across this! I love your honesty - years ago, a hairdresser asured me I could perm my fried hair (I think it had gone from black to blonde, to red, and a couple other colors in less than a month. I doubted it was possible, but took her professional word. I'm sure you can imagine the nightmare horror that was my hair in after that perm lol. Honesty is priceless.
Okay okay okay girl, you are amazing on explanation, this is so true and correct on why your doing the back and middle part with bleach first, omg it make sense. love the video.
As a natural redhead who is going silver/grey, I wouldn't mind doing this to blend it all in one sitting. It would get me through the skunk line time. Thanks for sharing.
It's interesting how when I want to go bright blonde, hairdressers always make it sound like it's impossible and it will take like 5 or 6 sessions and charging €200 per session. My hair is dark blonde so It's not even dark. Yet then I watch a video like this where people go dark to blonde or red to blonde. Clearly It's possible.
It’s not usually that it’s not possible, you just run a very high risk of damage, which is why so many stylists strand test but many stylists are simply too scared to perform a risky service. Remember this customer in the video had to have 4 inches cut off because it melted! Also, many clients don’t want to pay how much this service can cost all at once. Also, near the end of the video (9:10) the stylist mentioned that they were surprised that the hair even got as light as it did. It’s important to remember that things like this are the exception, not the rule. 💖 hair can also process so different depending on many things. My hair is a level 7 and yet to get my hair light I had to do 3 sessions simply because my hair is so resistant. When we look at your hair, we take into account hair history, texture, color, darkness, and thickness to estimate how long it’s going to take. For example someone with medium brown hair but coarse texture can sometimes need more sessions than someone with dark brown fine texture. I’ve taken black hair to platinum in the salon just because it was so fine that it lifted easily, I’ve also needed 2 sessions for some of my clients with medium brown coarse hair. It really just depends. And as hairstylists we really try not to make promises we can’t keep. I never ever guarantee platinum in one session, but I always explain to my guests why it can vary and why I can’t predict what their hair will do. If stylists haven’t been having this conversation with you then I’m very sorry because they really should have been.
Um, Even with a ton of red undertones, dark blonde hair is usually easily lifted to a level 9 or 10. But yeah... well, a friend of mine (level 7,5 ashy, very dusty virgin hair) once went to a salon and got told, they could only lift him to a platinum blonde if they'd use 40 volume developer and he would still end up having bright yellow hair. I used 7 volume developer and a toner and he was platinum blonde... strange world sometimes. Dark and red toned blondes and also brunettes can be bright blonde too. It might need more expertise but it is possible without the need of a buzzcut afterwards. The aftercare though is more intense than prior to lifting AND the hair needs to be re-toned more frequently depending on the underlying pigments. With that being said: colorists should just talk to their clients and explain them what could happen and ask them if they are willing to do it anyways. My cousin has level 5 hair and wanted bright red. Her colorist told her, it's not possible and put a dark burgundy demi on her hair. A few months later, I used high lift red color (NO BLEACH!) and managed to get her to the desired shade of red. Some things are impossible, but sometimes it's not that hard to do something, just a lot of work - and precision needed too. (I know they say color doesn't lift color, but it really depends on what had been used.)
Same they tried tellin me no cause my hair was to fragile I went white then I threw dark then I said how much to go copper they said I couldn’t it’s better to tone my brown then they said 350 I said watever I went to Sally’s again and went copper 🥰gnna wait a year again and sacrifice my roots to grow long then ima go bak to blonde they like tattoo artist charging arm and legs and acting like the process gnna take forever when it’s not can be done ☑️
You're a hair God ❤🙏📿🔥. That's amazing. I'm currently researching to get my hair done, from black to butterscotch and golden blonde. Will update how it went.
Really, really nice work! 100/hr is exactly what my stylist quoted me as well, to do a color correction on my red/brown color treated hair. Love your work!
I know that the general advice will be to this professionally, but I literally can’t afford the cost of $500-600 in hair 🥲 do you have ANY advice on doing this foiling at home by yourself? Supplies I have: - Ion creme lightener - 40vol (would’ve used 30vol, but the creme says go a step up in vol since the creme lessens the strength) first bleach - 20vol if I need 2nd bleach - 10vol for toner - wella t14 toner to cancel oranges, with 050 additive for a little boost of violet - foils - brush - gloves - clips for 4 quadrant sectioning
I just did my moms basically same way but hers wasn’t red it was that’s dark yucky dirty looking gray we hate to get lol. U did great tho her hair looks amazing and my moms did too!! I did exactly same method u did here but different formulas of blond for root/all over + integrity of her hair was still healthy!! Thanks to u and ur videos I’ve learned so so much …Ty❤
The color was beautiful! Btw, I noticed when you were cutting her hair that she had her legs crossed. My teacher in Cosmetology school always said it was a big no-no. I couldn't help but remember her and how she would just stop us to make sure the client wasn't doing it anymore.
I really like the work that she did. I too have Spanish thick hair and I know that it’s not easy to deal sometimes with thick stubborn hair. I would recommend this lady to anyone who wants to do a hair correction. It’s something that I want to do also. I’m just curious about the prose
I have a light copper right now and my hair dresser told me it would take 2-3 sessions to go blonde(each session is $300 and a deposit is required) yet I always watch videos like these. If I could I would do it myself but I’m afraid to mess up my hair 😩
Try fading it yourself first then see another colorist to do it in one sitting. That’s what I would do anyway. I would do my own Malibu CPR and seek out references for another colorist. Save some of them duckets.
Sheesh girl... You're the real star. I love the additional mention of color theory. You'd die if you saw my hair haha (I have 8 y.o. dreadlocks) but I love science!! Beautiful work.
you pointed out spanish hair being thick , and I'm like yes but the strands are thin ugh 😩 lol you're one of the BEST hair people here on youtube girl! Up there with guy tang my God, you deserve so much more recognition 👏
Great video tutorial!🤙 Question ? How long was the bleach on in the foils? Total time? You did foils, then roots. What is the total time of bleach in the foils ? Thank you .
Hi there! It was so long ago I don’t remember. I never time my lightener either, I just wait until it looks like it’s at the level I want, then I wait 10 minutes more!
I thought this process turned out amazing 🤩 Definitely no wishes needed for this 💕can u tell me how long you left the bleach on for please 🙏🏻 I’m always terrified of going to long with it .. Blondme actually has bonders built into it and the label says not to add additional ones, so I don’t know what would happen if I added olaplex to Blondme but I don’t think it would be a good result!

My thoughts exactly 😂😂 my sister is a hairstylist too & she has fired clients that are hairstylist because they can be the worst clients
Thank you!! She’s a total sweetheart and I’m happy to do her hair still! I’m just glad we had enough time
Maybe a client of hers showed up 45 minutes later, making HER late

Beautiful work and color
I have my hair bleached and tionned that colour in a qualified salon but my roots always have a yellow tinge. Maybe I will go for a root shadow. Is that what is was called? Xxxxx. Fab colour. X.
Yes we did a root shadow! I always lean towards the light colours (level 7+) because I don’t want to have to bleach that area again!
Best color correction seen in a long time 🥂
omg thank you!

oh this is expensive! $100 per hour! so think long and hard about the change because your hair may not handle a second bleaching over!
If your not sure but looking for a change why don’t you try adding some auburn or red lowlights?
A safe bet is to buy clip ons and use them as accent pieces and see if you like it, if you dont, then you just take them out , if you seem to like it then go in for a consult.
