    When your heart is breaking for someone who is broken, but your words can't reach them and your love can't save them, ask the Angels to go where you cannot. To whisper into their heart what their ears can't hear. . . "We will not give up on you. Don't give up on yourself."🙏🏽

    I have heard that caretakers can die before the ones that they are taking care of because of the stress. So sometimes, you can't help or you will end up ill in the end. It's easy from the outside to say what people should do, but it isn't easy to be the primary caregiver of a sick person.

    • @realtalkwithproblj2004
      @realtalkwithproblj2004 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +8

      @lpgilber, Yes, that is correct about caretakers. I have been in that situation for many family members. It can be very stressful, based on medical issues, financial issues, support systems in place, etc. No one knows what it is like day-to-day unless you have walked in those shoes. It is easy to talk from the side lines, but very few step up to the plate consistently, at the end of the day. Unfortunately, in Wendy's case, there are so many complex issues involved. In my opinion, her legal team failed her. Once she divorced, they should have reviewed and updated all of medical and estate planning docs. Docs needed-Healthcare Directive, Healthcare Advocate, Living Will, POA, Trust, and updated beneficiaries on all accounts. By taking those steps, many of these issues would not be occurring.

    • @lpgilber

      @@realtalkwithproblj2004 Thank you for the information. My dad was ill with complications from diabetes and was going to need constant care around the clock. My mom was in the process of deciding how to take care of him when he passed away. I feel it was because somewhere in his mind he didn't want his family to stress out taking care of him. So we didn't have such stress and my grandmother was basically the same. They didn't hang around it's no joke thinking about taking care of sick family members that need constant care.

      @lpgilber So sorry to hear about your family situation. Yes, it is hard, especially when there are multiple family members in need at the same time. Everyone is not built to endure the daily challenges of a caretaker! God bless you for your dedication to your family. At times, it gets too much, or the conditions get worse, so no choice is left other than a nursing home or skilled nursing facility. That is a tough decision to make, based on all competing factors, financials being the primary focus. I wish you well and continue to do the best you can and also do self-care care.

    Courage is the answer. In my eyes mind Insecurity is Wendy’s issue. She talks about her childhood and the treatment received. She thought fame was her answer to the insecurities and realized it wasn’t so she used other things to fulfill that void. As a result it diminished her because she never had the courage to speak what really hinders her. When we are here it’s always a there. Therefore, in spite of what any of us may have (things,fame) there is always room for growth.

    Wendy never stopped passively or directly addressing the toxicity she endured as a larger child. She and her nephew connected as the black sheep of their nuclear families aka The Scapegoat. For all of Wendy's futuristic vision, she seemed to never get over the need to 'model' the 1950's bourgie dream that her value existed in being a thin suburban wife and mother with a home in the suburbs of New Jersey. And it seems that she never stopped self-medicating. I hope that the children get into therapy.

    I'm the child of an alcoholic and my mother passed from cirrhosis of the liver. My mother also had alcohol induced dimentia. She got to the point where she could no longer make the decision to stop drinking alcohol and it tore her apart. She was much worse than Wendy was last we saw in her documentary. Sadly, I know Wendy will need to make the choice to be well again. Her family can try all they can and it will not make enough of an impact until Wendy outwardly acknowledges her issue and makes real changes to her every day life. My daughter has special needs. She has Autism/ Schizophrenia/ADHD/ OCD. I petitioned the court for her Guardianship at 14. It was granted but it is not handed to you because you are the mother. Research the laws in your state. There are many types of Guardianship. You definitely need to be in control of your special needs child or Adult affairs. Maybe POA would work for you..I know there are so many things that are being abused in Wendy's case. The judge and the Guardian will be Admonished or disbarred. I definitely am praying for Wendy's family. I did hear on the doc her sister could have petitioned the court but she didn't know what that entailed. She thought she had to take a class. I most cases you don't. Please everyone research the laws in your state. Addiction is real. I had a partner I loved a lot choked by addiction. It was heartbreaking. Sad and it left me drained, lonely, and I tried till I lost myself. You will lose yourself in another person's pain. But they have to chose to get help. I had to let go of my hopes and dreams and love with that person to save myself.

      @theinfamouskiki, Yes, I totally understand your viewpoint. I am glad you didn't get so caught up that you lost yourself in the process. I, too, have dealt with family members with addictions. Many times it's a stronghold that can only be broken when that person is ready! It may take many years in rehab, on and off, prayers of loved ones, BUT the cycle of addiction can only be broken by the addict. It is so painful to watch, despite your efforts to help and trying to save that person. But only God and that person can save them. I learned to love from a distance, in order to save myself. I wish you well.

    Love how she explains killing the harvest. Working with karma is a big thing in Buddhism. In Buddhism they talk about cause and effect. We make negative causes that yield negative effects, you can make good causes to yield good effects in your life. There is group karma as well. You can be born into a group, or culture (or family) that has made negative causes, which yields negative effects to that group. Therefore, you choose the course of your life, depending on the causes you make. To know what your life will be like tomorrow, look at the causes you are making today. This was a great show! It is truly heartbreaking to see what is happening to Wendy and I get no pleasure in seeing her or anyone suffer. However, when you quoted Psalm 18:21 you have to acknowledge that it applies to Wendy as well. She used her platform and climbed the ladder to success with the power of her own tongue in a way that was not always discreet, kind or sympathetic. Her viciousness was oftentimes excused because she was "gettin' paid". She made a lucrative living attacking and exposing people's personal business with the power of her tongue; hence, there are some who get satisfaction out of knowing that she is now suffering too. It's not right, but that's the way it is.

    The title of the documentary, "Where is Wendy?", is a bit ironic. You are so right she never really fit in. When she says that for 10 years she sat alone in the radio station. In order to climb the ladder of success she did coke 5 out of 7 days a week. She has reported on at least one occasion, while at the radio station alone; she took a hit and immediately lost consciousness. Wendy is referred to a "Queen" and "Icon"; what an enormously high price to pay. A few times throughout the documentary Wendy vasulated between fantasy, delusions and an desire to attempt to take off the mask. Ex: taking off wig, dressing like a young teen and showing the condition of her feet.

    We have lost our way as a people. Once upon a time the elders would have gone and got her and taken her to a desolate place... a quiet place... and removed all of the stimulus. Whether that be in the bush, or the moutaintop, or whatever. And they would have allowed the difficult tears to commence... IN OTHER WORDS... when you have an allergic reaction the doctor tells you to go on an elimination diet. That's exactly what this would have been. I really liked what the doctor said about "demons". Without a quiet place to fight - you are kept on the "demons" stompin' ground. BUT in quietness and stillness - GOD ALWAYS WINS.

    What about straight up praying for Wendy's healing? Why so many words about what to pray for? I think we need to get out of our heads sometimes and look to God.

    Past trauma from childhood to adulthood remains within you because if lack of love wanting and yearning. We settle, people just judge and damn you. Beause if no self love families play apart used u as a scapegoat, they never support so you create a life of your desire all on your own, self medicate erc, some are 💪🏽 some are not. Chronic pain 24 hrs a day only who feels it knows. I feel for Wendy and can relate, only difference she had a loving family I did not. I would like to communicate with u Dr. Thank you fir being real.
