Managed to fix my tension by tweaking the bobbin case it was super loose thanks brother I was so frustrated decided to pray 10 min later I got this clip 😅❤
Thanks dude, it gave me a better understanding. I never sewed in my life. I get asked to fix a sewing machine. It was more like the owners own user error. Before I could touch the machine, I had to know what I was doing and how the machine needed to be operated. There are not many helpful videos out there, and the few like yours make my day. Now was a better time than ever to learn sewing and sewing machines...top to bottom. Full service. I have a long story to tell. Thank you for making a simple video, and now I can complete my mission.
This was VERY helpful. I pulled out my grandmother's Kenmore and it looks so similar to the model in your video. I cleaned it up, oiled it, got it running pretty smoothly, and now I'm learning how to sew along with my daughter. This bit of information on thread tension does help, especially when you describe how to adjust the bobbin tension in the metal bobbin case. Thank you. I haven't seen that in any other video up to this point.
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! i was so close to tossing my sewing machine, its old and not worth the price to fix, but i couldnt figure out what was wrong... it was the screw on the bobbin!!!!! genuinely saved me so much, thank you. I've been frustrated for months!
Thanks so much for this quick crash course; I’ve been so frustrated for hours trying to figure out what I was doing wrong, the bobbin little screw was too tight and the tension plates too loose in my old singer I fixed it !!! So happy 😅 Thank you much
You can't beat the older Kenmores. For the money they out perform almost anything on the market today. Who needs all that computer stuff. It breaks after a few years. Old machines only ask for a lint brush and oil.
I bought this machine in Wisconsin this summer at a thrift store. Came with the original receipt from 1980 it was purchased at SEARS on January 10, 1980, price was $280.76 today that would be $951.00. Keeping it for small projects here at home,
Dude perfect, THANK YOU! I appreciate you getting to the point, short & sweet. Good camera work. Cheers
You're welcome!

Kenmores from the 70s are such marvels. They are easy to understand and the least fussy of six other brands from the 70s.
Thank you so much for showing that little dial on the front. I have an old vx-880 and couldn’t get it right.
I tried this and it's work... thanks
