  • It seems South Africans do not really know Hlaudi Motseoneng. The former COO of the SABC, managed to run the company with very little education. His goal of one day becoming the country's president is as clear to him as daylight.

    What I've picked up, Hlaudi as COO sacrificed alot for artists and employees to make sure they are happy . He risked his job even got fired for benefiting poor employees . The spirit of Ubuntu lives within this man , I respect him for that.

    This interview made me feel a wide range of emotions, the majority of which were directed at myself as a black person. We truly fail our black leaders, and SAn media will be the end of this country. as sad as it was seeing SABC letting go of our Siblings but a part of me was like bazenzile, they failed to support and protect this man. they all kept quiet when he was going down. Black people have no back bone!!!!!

    • @sakhumzipoto8182

      My brother I was one of the people who was fooled by SA media in regards to this man, hearing him express himself has forced me to confront my naiveness. I must say we as black SA's are failing each other, but ke I can honestly say the media can only play that trick once which is why we seek out a proper balanced diet of news elsewhere but the biased SA media. I thank David Mashabela for having this platform.

    • @thapelolitlhakanyane9060
      @thapelolitlhakanyane9060 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      What about the black people he chased out of the SABC. Didn't they need any support from their colleagues too?
      While some of us claim to stand with all blacks, we tend to stand more with those who had a voice and could use their position to silence those blacks who were the small guys and had no voice in some of these organizations.
      I would never celebrate a black person who crushes the little guy and most of us never get to hear the stories of the little guys because unlike him they will never get opportunities to be at such platforms to tell their stories. SAns have selective memories and that's what annoys some of us about this country.

    Podcast is the future of interviews. People who are being interviewed become themselves and they get a chance to express their views without any interruptions. I however fear that if advertisers and regulators start to come into this space lot of this freedom can be compromised. Pit is that at some point this Podcasts will need to make money for self sustainability and its potential for job creation. Thanks Mr Mashabela Ntate Motsoeneng today expressed himself without been patronized or being looked at with a scorn.

    The manner in which the media painted Hlaudi Motshoeneng made me hate him so much. At a personal level the guy is a joy, I think his radical decision making without wide consultation is the one that put him in hot waters. Perhaps also high level of confidence but i have learnt alot. Thank you king dave....I always think of mac G when watching podcast loll....😀

      You know am not for the word 'radical' because if you tell service providers what to do, they say it's radical, you encourage production of black content, it's radical, you license content for money they say you radical. So basically when you fighting for black people you are labeled radical.

    Motho ga a itsiwe e se naga ka nnete. Hlaudi is a deep ocean of information, he has so much to share on confidence, tenacity, kindness and leadership. I have so much respect for him after hearing the story, from the horse itself.

    I have a lot of respect for Mr Hlaudi. He is organically intellectual, youngsters assume you need papers to prove your intellect. There are people who are naturally gifted, no matter the deep end you throw them, they'll swim gracefully. This man has a good track record of work ethic before SABC if you really followed him. Don't pay attention to the fake media of South Africa trying to taint his name.

    The world needs more people like Hlaudi Motsoeneng. He is brave. Something that many people lack.I hope his dreams of one day becoming the president of the country become true. May God keep him and strengthen him. I also hope I get to witness that. To become a part of that era. Hlaudi makes young people like myself that also have a certain level of "craziness" to keep going.

    What I love about this interview is Hlaudi removing the veil for many who were consumed by MSM... I remember being one of a few people who defended Hlaudi and all his decisions at a time when it was not fashionable to do so... He truly embodies "living for an idea that will not die"
