This version of Edgeworth makes me realize just how much he changes over time. The Edgeworth I know would VERY much bite at the “you’ll lose your chance to learn the truth” line. He’s learning, here.

In one of the earlier cases (with the lunchlady who fancied herself a detective) it was even dumber because BOTH LAWYERS were calling her a liar constantly. It was nuts. Imagine having a witness come up onto the stand and then get torn apart by the defence and the prosecution simultaneously only for the judge to be like "No, no. Please go on. Make up some more lies" with his mouth full of bribes.
29:30 To be fair about Edge's *updated autopsy report,* there's a good chance his updated autopsy report was actually more accurate than the original one. After all the original claimed certainty that death was instantaneously. Certainty is very extreme statement to make. It might have been as simple as going "Is this really 100% for sure or is it just very likely." and "Nothing for certain, but this is as good as it gets." and "If the possiblity exists, even if unlikely, it must not be excluded by the report.". Which would then also be the correct way to do things. So it might not even have been any sort of foul play at all by Edgeworth. It just looked bad in the moment because he already had a reputation and did that against you.
To be even more fair about the updated autopsy report, you got it by an "unofficial" method a day before the trial. The actual, correct, thing being presented in the trial itself makes sense. Of course, WHY something like the official autopsy report isn't given to the defense by default is something worthy of getting angry at, but that is just the way the legal system is designed to screw over the defense in this games.
I know it's a big ask of them to make right at this moment, but I would dearly love to see them play as many of these games sooner rather than later, haha. It is a long-term sorta deal though.
Many people know about the "Truth, All the Truth, Nothing but the Truth" line, but many don't know it's refering to the 3 types of lie: give false information, withhold information and use true information to mislead.
I rewatched this series almost 4 times in that break! Woolie these videos are a treasure for someone who listens to these at work and this is quickly going to replace the Arkham Asylum and spec ops the line playthroughs as my favorite and for all the right reasons this time lol this is genuinely super fun to listen to and watch

Calling Joseph "Yee-Yee Ass" Darke a seriel killer doesn't feel right. I'm pretty sure the crime he committed would classify him as a spree killer? Serial killers have a cooling off period, he did all his killing back to back.
I feel like the Marshall killing "turned him" into a serial killer. Even then, spree killer is not as catchy of a term so a lot of people use them in conjunction
