One of the ideas that I said I have that I don't think caught any traction is to add breeze powder. If you turn the breeze rods into breeze powder, instead of waiting for oxidization, you can instantly cause oxidization on your copper blocks by applying said breeze powder. Now there are two options to obtain oxidized copper. Wait for oxidization which has no cost, or use up a breeze powder which is instant but actually have a cost. Having multiple path to something, each path having its own pros and cons is something I've always liked. Giving players multiple option is something that should be strived for. Now that mojang added the breeze rod. I hope this idea gets more traction this time.
As a fan of maces and blunt weapons, I'm super excited for maces finally added 🤩 🔨 so if you combine the mace, wind charges, and featherfall boots, you'll be a powerhouse
Who needs feather falling, fall damage after being launched by a wind charge is only affecting the distance below where you were first launched, and the mace cancels fall damage if you get a crit
a combat rework would probably need an entire update by itself just because of how important it is that its done right. It's also been divisive in the past.

I hope that eventually they add the combat mechanics from those test snapshot from years ago like the weapon reaching and stackable potions because that would be so good. Also if they add the quiver and fletching table functionality it would work so well into this update

I personally think the trial chambers should have an above ground entrance. They seem so hard to find when they’re all buried. You can imagine starting a word and finding a trial chamber entrance then gearing up ready with all your friends before you tackle it

This might be a stretch, but one other use for the heavy core could be the core of a miniature golem, such as the copper and tuff golems, which would fit perfectly in the trial chambers they could be used to make the golems I don’t know I just thought that would be a pretty neat idea
A type of golem where you fuel the core wirh different items and it does different effects would be sick. Wind charge makes it do more knock back, blaze powder gives it fire aspect or like ice to freeze enemies in place.

The potential for new enchantments is huge! Imagine that there is an enchantment exclusive to the Mace where you hit the ground and it propels you upward, and there is another enchantment where it shoots air charges with each swing, and both enchantments are mutually exclusive to each other.

I have a theory that the heavy core will have its own function separate from the mace and in some way effect the players local gravity, making them heavier. This theory stems from the technical changes in previous snapshots which introduced commands to change a players gravity. I mean the fact that they continually allude to its immense density and weight is enough for me to believe this tbh.
That would fit amazingly if they were to add an Aether-dimension that is weightless at first, basically like space. If you run and jump there, you can't change direction until you actually hit something. The heavy core could mitigate this, making maneuvering in the dimension much easier

A developer on ibxtoycat’s recent stream basically just confirmed that there will not be a combat system revamp. Sad to hear because this update being heavily combat themed, was the perfect opportunity to address the combat issues and finally unify the combat of bedrock and java. I guess we’ll have to wait even longer, possibly years for this to happen again

I was thinking of a concussion enchantment. If would give the enemy who got directly hit blindness for 10 seconds and nausea for 20. Any enemy that got knock backed and hit any block would get blindness for 5 seconds and nausea for 10.
This is all insanely cool, but what if there were different unique items for different styles of playing Minecraft? Maybe there could be a wind staff that lets you place a wind block in air so you can build off of it?
I love that the axe sherd actually serves a purpose and gives a clue to the player as to what to do, I wish they'd include more stuff like this in the nether for example telling you about eyes of ender or potion recipe scraps half telling you how to get there, more lore and story elements left behind by the builders
I hope they add the rest of the weapons from the Spartan Weapons mod ;) I tried Sharpness V and Smite V on the Mace with Fire aspect II, and this thing is powerful! I can't wait to see what else the devs reveal.
Maybe new enchantment called Concussion which when getting hit by the wave to get paused for a few seconds and if a player gets hits gives a 3 second nausea effect.
This is so cool, both the maze and the wind charge not only are thematically linked but also in their gimmicks, the wind charge sends you flying and then u land with the maze. So cool. The update just jump from ok to good
The mace is very bittersweet. I don't think we need a new melee weapon but I do like that it's made from the breeze rod and that it incentivizes players to take on the chambers but... The hammer just isn't cool enough! It needs to be MORE BREEZY!

The mace, which seems to essentially be a hammer, is an awesome addition. I always thought hammers would be implemented as a craftable item with minerals and sticks. Having it be something that exists separately just like the trident seems like a better implementation to me. Especially since, like the trident and unlike the traditional tools, it's functionality is more complex than simply swinging it. That being said, I do have some questions regarding it. What exactly is the "heavy core" and why is it that a breeze rod is necessary to craft maces instead of just regular sticks? One theory could be that the heavy core is "too heavy" to be supported by a regular stick. A breeze rod supports its weight not by being tied to it, but by using air as a suction force. The heavy core could be made from an ancient metal that no longer exists in the world, or it was crafted using iron in a unique and complex process, the knowledge of which is lost to time. This block has potential as more than just the ingredient for the mace. It could become a gravity block and deal significant damage like anvils. It could be a projectile with short range since it weighs so much. It seems shaped similar to a conduit, but I'm not sure its intended to have a beacon-like function. Maybe it's involved in redstone. But as for the mace, I think it's a really cool way to make an entrance on a battlefield if you just MGL-mace into a crowd of people and do a ton of damage and blow them away with knockback. I think the mace could use with some enchantments. "Metal falling" would be the maces unique enchantment and increase damage dealt by the mace during the fall attack. "bluntness" to increase the melee damage "knockback" to increase the knockback "channeling" a reference to thor's hammer, would cause a lightning strike to the area of the falling attack and or course unbreaking and mending.
@@timohara7717 That makes a lot of sense! Wind charges negate fall damage. As the mace also negate fall damage, that functionality must be coming from the breeze rod! Maybe that's why the rod is necessary as otherwise the fall damage from swinging the heavy core would be greater!
It think the mace should have a longer weapon cooldown because now it's basically a diamond sword but with the falling perk. Also it would make sense because that thing looks heavy there's no way you're swinging it that fast, right?
Honestly the concept of revisit-able dungeons or area’s should definitely be of a thing s minecraft. Previous couple years back the only revisit-able locations were sorta villages but you can relocate them as well as the end portal. The addition of the amethyst was a good idea but they don’t really generate without you being in their load chunks. Trial chamber’s however give serious reason to revisit and create paths to long term. It gives your adventuring friends a serious location when found in conjunction with the miner friends who find them.
This is the first update I'm actually excited for since Caves and Cliffs. Feels great to see a shift, Mojang. Most of us aren't kids from 2011-2012 anymore. Throw us some cool stuff every now and then. Because we still play your damn game here and there lol! Keep up the momentum!!
i was disappointed in how many features were cancelled or postponed from it. some weren’t implemented till as recent as 1.20. Mojang could probably do great things if they broke the yearly update cycle
There's definitely going to be a enchantment for the mace since all weapons currently have a special enchant for that weapon except the mace for now, maybe the new enchant will be called heavyweight or something like that and it increases the damage you deal with the slam attack and maybe even increase Knockback and the aoe effect of the slam attack or it will act like sharpness for the mace
Here's my idea for the mace you should be able to put it inside of a dispenser to make a new type of Kill Chamber for Farms. kind of thinking the same way how you can put shears for a sheep farm.
im kind of hoping we get more weapons later on. like, a spear would be pretty cool for one. maybe even combining different weapons, like putting a spear and axe together gets you a halberd, or something like that.

2 things for the mace which would make it more like a real mace would be to make it 3D like the trident and add flanges and make it break all armour except leather for more realism
Honestly, the update isn’t that bad now, I like it. The mace is kinda underwhelming but interesting nonetheless, that’s what I want, for them to add content regularly, even if it’s small things like these. This update is shaping to be actually kinda cool. Still think mob votes are cancer to the game currently but besides that, seems mojang devs have been a bit less lazy.

I was thinking of a concussion enchantment. If would give the enemy who got directly hit blindness for 10 seconds and nausea for 20. Any enemy that got knock backed and hit any block would get blindness for 5 seconds and nausea for 10.
I hope the mace has slower attack speed than the sword, i dont want it to completely replace it
The sword still has Fire Aspect to it, it definitely won't be fully replaced.

This is all insanely cool, but what if there were different unique items for different styles of playing Minecraft? Maybe there could be a wind staff that lets you place a wind block in air so you can build off of it?

I love that the axe sherd actually serves a purpose and gives a clue to the player as to what to do, I wish they'd include more stuff like this in the nether for example telling you about eyes of ender or potion recipe scraps half telling you how to get there, more lore and story elements left behind by the builders
I feel like the attack cooldown should be longer on the mace as it appears to be a heavier weapon

I tried Sharpness V and Smite V on the Mace with Fire aspect II, and this thing is powerful! I can't wait to see what else the devs reveal.
Maybe new enchantment called Concussion which when getting hit by the wave to get paused for a few seconds and if a player gets hits gives a 3 second nausea effect.
You can't put any enchantments on it in survival tho. Not even mending and unbreaking.

This is so cool, both the maze and the wind charge not only are thematically linked but also in their gimmicks, the wind charge sends you flying and then u land with the maze. So cool. The update just jump from ok to good
The mace is very bittersweet. I don't think we need a new melee weapon but I do like that it's made from the breeze rod and that it incentivizes players to take on the chambers but... The hammer just isn't cool enough! It needs to be MORE BREEZY!

The mace, which seems to essentially be a hammer, is an awesome addition.
I always thought hammers would be implemented as a craftable item with minerals and sticks. Having it be something that exists separately just like the trident seems like a better implementation to me. Especially since, like the trident and unlike the traditional tools, it's functionality is more complex than simply swinging it.
That being said, I do have some questions regarding it. What exactly is the "heavy core" and why is it that a breeze rod is necessary to craft maces instead of just regular sticks?
One theory could be that the heavy core is "too heavy" to be supported by a regular stick. A breeze rod supports its weight not by being tied to it, but by using air as a suction force.
The heavy core could be made from an ancient metal that no longer exists in the world, or it was crafted using iron in a unique and complex process, the knowledge of which is lost to time. This block has potential as more than just the ingredient for the mace. It could become a gravity block and deal significant damage like anvils. It could be a projectile with short range since it weighs so much. It seems shaped similar to a conduit, but I'm not sure its intended to have a beacon-like function. Maybe it's involved in redstone.
But as for the mace, I think it's a really cool way to make an entrance on a battlefield if you just MGL-mace into a crowd of people and do a ton of damage and blow them away with knockback. I think the mace could use with some enchantments.
"Metal falling" would be the maces unique enchantment and increase damage dealt by the mace during the fall attack.
"bluntness" to increase the melee damage
"knockback" to increase the knockback
"channeling" a reference to thor's hammer, would cause a lightning strike to the area of the falling attack
and or course unbreaking and mending.
This is the first time we use bones or rods for weapons. I,m thinking rhe fall damage reduction only happens due to th e breeze rod

@@timohara7717 That makes a lot of sense! Wind charges negate fall damage. As the mace also negate fall damage, that functionality must be coming from the breeze rod! Maybe that's why the rod is necessary as otherwise the fall damage from swinging the heavy core would be greater!

Theyve dropped banger after banger with these updates. I have not been disappointed.
It think the mace should have a longer weapon cooldown because now it's basically a diamond sword but with the falling perk. Also it would make sense because that thing looks heavy there's no way you're swinging it that fast, right?

Honestly the concept of revisit-able dungeons or area’s should definitely be of a thing s minecraft.
Previous couple years back the only revisit-able locations were sorta villages but you can relocate them as well as the end portal.
The addition of the amethyst was a good idea but they don’t really generate without you being in their load chunks.
Trial chamber’s however give serious reason to revisit and create paths to long term. It gives your adventuring friends a serious location when found in conjunction with the miner friends who find them.

This is the first update I'm actually excited for since Caves and Cliffs. Feels great to see a shift, Mojang. Most of us aren't kids from 2011-2012 anymore. Throw us some cool stuff every now and then. Because we still play your damn game here and there lol! Keep up the momentum!!
i was disappointed in how many features were cancelled or postponed from it. some weren’t implemented till as recent as 1.20. Mojang could probably do great things if they broke the yearly update cycle

There's definitely going to be a enchantment for the mace since all weapons currently have a special enchant for that weapon except the mace for now, maybe the new enchant will be called heavyweight or something like that and it increases the damage you deal with the slam attack and maybe even increase Knockback and the aoe effect of the slam attack or it will act like sharpness for the mace
Imagine a new life series but the trial chamber is the only way to get enchants

Here's my idea for the mace you should be able to put it inside of a dispenser to make a new type of Kill Chamber for Farms. kind of thinking the same way how you can put shears for a sheep farm.

im kind of hoping we get more weapons later on. like, a spear would be pretty cool for one. maybe even combining different weapons, like putting a spear and axe together gets you a halberd, or something like that.

I would love to see a New Trial Chamber room that's completely underwater, and inside that Trial Chamber room, we can fight Drowneds and either Guardians or a new Underwater Skeleton variant
2 things for the mace which would make it more like a real mace would be to make it 3D like the trident and add flanges and make it break all armour except leather for more realism
Honestly, the update isn’t that bad now, I like it. The mace is kinda underwhelming but interesting nonetheless, that’s what I want, for them to add content regularly, even if it’s small things like these. This update is shaping to be actually kinda cool. Still think mob votes are cancer to the game currently but besides that, seems mojang devs have been a bit less lazy.
