I've played it since Day 1 it helped me with Depression once. Ive been to Every nook and cranny on every map and I will not trade it for anything else. Most Immersive AC if you love Egypt.
Currently checking youtube if this game is worth my time as I never played it before. But based on all the reviews and comments like this. I think it is best to spend a lot of time in this game. 😎🤣
Playing through this on PS5 now. It's amazing how many quests have voice acting. The game mechanics are very diverse as well. So many tools to take down enemies. Also love the real historical information found throughout the game.
@@joshpaul6417yes. Odyssey is too. I was playing a PS4 copy of Origins on my PS5 a few months ago and I checked for any updates and after the update I immediately noticed how smooth it runs on PS5. Just to compare I played on PS4 pro with same update and it was noticeably smoother on PS5. I also read the patch notes and it mentioned something about improved frame rate.
I played Origins at launch and literally went "WTF is this!? This isn't Assassin's Creed" Came back 3 or so years later and holy shit what a gem of a game.

I just started playing AC Origins yesterday (until a hurricane knocked out the power). I'm stuck in the tunnels at the start of the game after getting all turned around and doubling back. Power's back, but now work beckons. I hope to give this game some serious time this weekend.
Power being cut is worst. I live in Chiang Mai Doi Saket village in Thailand whenever rain/storm’s coming there will be 70% chance of power stoppage. I remember playing FF7 Rebirth fighting a boss cutting his HP 70% and power just stopped.😂
I started playing Origins a few weeks ago and damn, it's been an amazing ride, so far almost 100 hours and so many things to discover yet. The greatest sandbox since I played RDR2 and that says a lot.
Just replaying this after two years. This was one of the best games I used to rehabilitate my ability to focus after a serious clusterfuck of burnout, anxiety, breakup, homelessness and depression. Now I have regained happiness and neuroplasticity and I'm having a blast altering my og playstyle almost completely. Next Odyssey and Fenyx Rising.
I absolutely adore the pre RPG AC games from AC1 to Unity but while Origins was different, it still managed to capture the assassin fantasy and was overall a good game.
Origin is so good because it is still grounded with the balance of mysticism and technology of the Isu. The game is also big yet focused on its theme and content. The story is built upon the foundation of "tragedy of children". The mechanics are still realistic to the story(having both direct approach and stealth because Bayek is not a full pledge Assassin)
Started playing again about a week ago randomly - feels so fresh forgotten everything and I’m hooked again haven’t played since PS4 It’s had updates for PS5 and looks so good, so much attention to detail in this game so much better than Valhalla & Odyssey IMO
My favorite creed. I still need to finish the dlc. But it's beautiful, plays great, has a good story, and a fantastic protagonist. No enemy leveling and bloat that killed the 2 sequels that followed.
I loved Origins and Odyssey at the time. Played through Origins 3 times, couldnt face another 260 hours on Odyssey again. Started playing AC3 for the first time as i skipped to Black Flag…. If they did todays world(graphics/gameplay) with the combat from the originals id be so happy.
I think what makes Ubisoft so frustrating is that they have the ability to make an Origins/Chaos Theory/AC2 /Beyond Good and Evil/Rayman/Prince of Persia etc. but their greed stifles creativity and care for the vast majority of games they release

Is in sale alot so i would say then yes. And honestly don't feel to bad. I have a ps5 and legit i feel i should've stuck with my ps4 since most games i played still released on it.
Origins and Odyssey are brilliant fun for RPG stealth players. I have both and can play how I wish, when I wish. Valhalla is alright too, but they went too far in making it an endless slog of empty side content. Now I am off to run through Egypt to help my bro get his revenge for his son.
I couldn't agree more, I loved all 60 hours I dumped in the main campaign and another 12-15 into the DLC...I've skipped every AC since this one since they were literally copy and paste res-skins of AC Origins in different settings...but shadows looks fantastic and I hope Ubisoft can make it another great one! P.S. Don't worry guys/gals I won't be pre-ordering no matter how good AC shadows looks lol

@@josephxowenodyssey was not even bad, I’ve play most AC (90%) and to me Origins was a copy of odyssey, even the big temples in origins have the same silhouette that odyssey had, almost everything was just put a skin on top except for the streets layout. Even boss battles was better in odyssey.

Currently playing for yhe first time. When it launched, I hated the combat and all the damage numbers so I passed. Tried it out of curiosity, deactivate all that shit on the hud and what do you know! What a game!!! The combat is fine, nothing special, but the stories, Bayek and my God, THE WORLD!!! it's incredible!
It was decent and simply needed a proper stealth system (which has never been in any AC game, but seems to be implemented in AC Shadows now, which generally look good.. so we'll see), but unfortunately they didn't improve on the format with Odyssey or Valhalla. Odyssey was still good, but Valhalla went downhill and Mirage was just pure garbage.
I’ve never heard anyone call Mirage worse than above average so I’m genuinely asking what did you find wrong with it that gave such an extreme stance on it?

Mirage had its flaws, but it is really far from garbage. I personally would set it at the same spot in a list besides ac3. And (at least for me) way above Odyssey.
@@Somtric I just didn't like odyssey. It was way too big and long, and for that too empty. A stealth kill isn't a kill anymore, just a stealth attack. Greek history is more often than not taken as a ground for modern, often cringy jokes. And it feels like artificially stretched to reach 150hrs as a game. Maybe you view it differently, but for me AC Odyssey wasn't good, as much as I wanted it to be.

The story was a complete failure… Ubi had the makings of another trilogy and instead chose to compress big events into 40 minutes of forced linear gameplay…Cleo with Pompey, Cleo to Caesar, Defending Cleo and Caesar, Cleo betrayal, Caesar dies… thats a ton of major events at once. Origins- Bayek overthrows Pharaoh, helps Cleo to power and establishes Hidden Ones Origins 2.. the Brotherhood of the series. Bayek helps protect Cleo from a plot is betrayed at the end by Cleo and Caesar alliance… trains Hidden Ones Origins 3 Overthrow Cleo and Caesar
The big thing that held this game back so, so badly is there is literally, absolutely no point in like doing, anything, ever, at all. Once you reach end-game everything becomes completely useless, you end up playing 25% of the game and then dropping the game once you realize there are no concrete incentives at all anymore because you are maxed out. its an insane giant oversight.
Origins is what got me into AC. My first introduction to the series was AC Freedom Cry a stand alone expansion for Black Flag, and that shit was ass and completely turned me off from the franchise. But after Origins I went back and played the Ezio trilogy, Odyssey, and Valhalla. I also have Black Flag, Unity, and Syndicate, but they're all mid.
Origins was a stepping stone, for what Odyssey & Valhalla turned out to be. I hope Shadows will be as good as Odyssey, which I consider it to be the best AC, from the entire franchise!
The best things about this game were the Tomb Explorations, especially when you chanced upon one riding through the desert. The worst part was definitely the Girl Boss Aya missions. She is even more pungent than Brie Larson in Captain Marvel
I really don't understand why some people praise Origin so much. You get level locked from story progression, forced to do plain stupid side quests, story is a mess, too, combat is ok, but it's nowhere nearly as good as Valhalla's. The only good thing I can say about this game is a beautiful scenery, but then again Odyssey excels in this regard...
I just reinstalled this game because I’ve never beaten it but as far as I remember, it was boring in the very beginning. That’s why I got tired of it, but we’ll see.

The rigid leveling system and grind is what kills the fun in this and Odyssey. If you can get Origins dirt cheap it could be worth trying though

But after Origins I went back and played the Ezio trilogy, Odyssey, and Valhalla. I also have Black Flag, Unity, and Syndicate, but they're all mid.
Origins was a stepping stone, for what Odyssey & Valhalla turned out to be. I hope Shadows will be as good as Odyssey, which I consider it to be the best AC, from the entire franchise!
The best things about this game were the Tomb Explorations, especially when you chanced upon one riding through the desert. The worst part was definitely the Girl Boss Aya missions. She is even more pungent than Brie Larson in Captain Marvel
I really don't understand why some people praise Origin so much. You get level locked from story progression, forced to do plain stupid side quests, story is a mess, too, combat is ok, but it's nowhere nearly as good as Valhalla's. The only good thing I can say about this game is a beautiful scenery, but then again Odyssey excels in this regard...

Unity had Assassimp Arno
Syndicate had the Fried Twins of Jokob and Evie Frye
Odyssey had Lamelexios and Trashandra
first and this is truly a great game

I just reinstalled this game because I’ve never beaten it but as far as I remember, it was boring in the very beginning. That’s why I got tired of it, but we’ll see.
The combat is absolutely terrible compared to odyssey. Beautiful world tho
But still better than Valhalla and mirage
IMO Odyssey overcomplicated it. I prefer Origins' simplicity after completing both
@ hm cant say i understand that but yea its different for everyone. I wanted to love origins couldnt get past the feel of combat. Just hated it
