A missile-dependent scout can be an issue, as scouts are expected to operate far from supplies. It's relatively low ammo stores means it can't go far out, limiting it to a scout hunter role.
I ran a few of these against a mate of mine playing a Drac combined arms unit in a city. My IIc's loaded the SRM 4s with standard and the 6's with infernos. the sight ended up looking like a city wide bbq and smelled of cooking long pork. i just wished they had the space for JJs
I have a problem with non Star League mechs getting the 2C treatment when so many Star league mechs didn't get this overhaul. Where is my Spider 2C, where is my Hussar 2C! My rage over not being able to play with the proper robot toys knows no bounds!!!
Well, that is on him. He gave me a year and that I was allowed lights within a set BV... and he owed me drinks after - a common bet at our table. Thanks again for another well put together video
With SRMs being 1 Ton /2 missiles why not have 3 SRM 6 and an 1 SRM2 ? same number of missiles same tonnage and better chance to land more missiles ? Or if your a believer in more racks firing is greater chance of hitting with something then 5 SRM 4s .
It's just the clans are always characterised as being extremely ammo reliant and want to end a fight quickly rather than rely on resupply. I know ammo in the home systems likely wasn't an issue but they always seem to frame the clans are being fighters who don't want to have to go back for ammo.

LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOREEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I enjoy all of Critical Rocket videos
18 srms is a Problem. One of my fave IIC designs. Inner Sphere, but more.
This thing really slaps. Couple of minor mods and it can really threaten even heavy mechs.

Ouch that sounded quite one sided. But definitely in the wheelhouse of the Commando IIC.

Fun mech. Thanks for the video.
Thanks :)
Is the Commando is most appropriately named mech in the setting? No. Close, but that title goes to the PENETRATOR.
Everyone loves to go Penetrating in the Penetrator definitely.

Not really sure why they didn't go that route. Possibly just the way the writer wanted to theme or present it. Maybe for cost reasons? Who knows.
The commando is not a Lyran scout mech. The Charger is. Lyrans use light units for scouting after all🤣
Ah too true.
The ammo wasn’t an issue when the Clans were fighting each other & a scout’s role was to check out the other side’s bid or hunt Dark Caste bandits.

Any specials on pizza today???
Gotta be one of the worst nightmares of a light mech scout or something to encounter a fresh Commando IIC in a dense environment
oof yeah, the clanners really knew how to improve the classics
I thought the Atlas was the premier Steiner scout?
It was too sneaky
The Commando is just a baby Atlas.
