I believe it would be best for fans to remain patient and allow the studios to complete their work, trusting in the final product. We don't want another 2017 scenario...
You know damn well it will not that i am happy knowing the shows history of its owners oversaturating mmpr forcing us at this point to be the only season in mainstream to matter.
@@emmanuelsebi6964 Doing another MMPR reboot film might do more harm that good. Because what can you really do with a new MMPR movie to grip casual audiences to see it? Another origin story would just be derivative of the 2017 film that’s still not a decade old. And jumping into green with evil would be a terrible way to start because you need to establish the core 5 first to make that story arc hit really hard. After that PR really doesn’t have any big name story arcs main stream audiences would really care to see on the big screen.
i think a Power Rangers X Transformers would be an amazing thing and suprised we havent gotten something like that yet, but i feel like we need a battle between the Megazord VS Devastator or one of the Combiners or even one of the Titans. honestly more on the TF/GIJ side but i still hope we get that movie and we introduce Mass Shifting in the film. Imagine if Cobra Commander walked into a building holding a space gun and suddenly it transform into the Giant Megatron
Part of me feels like they're fast tracking it not so much to get it in a crossover with TF and GI Joe but moreso because they want to compete with the live action Voltron film coming out. Since Voltron and Power Rangers have many similarities. Also I'm not getting my hopes up with them crossing over with TF and GI Joe because Paramount clearly doesn't know what they're doing with that project. Like we know more about them moving along with this PR film than we do that crossover.
Agreed, tho not too sure about competing, feels more like they saw Voltron's getting made with a pretty stacked cast and that kinda gave them some confidence to proceed with PR. Also funny thing about the TF/GI crossover, PR had a little cameo in Rise of the Beast, that younger brother was wearing an MMPR shirt :p
TF/GI Joe has been crossing over for decades in toys, comics, and animation so this upcoming movie isn't some random IP crossover that would include Power Rangers
I'll say my idea here, since it won't ever happen, but it would be cool if like they could put together like a Time Force based movie where not only could they input a bunch of easter eggs from across multiple PR seasons and the universe but also have a main plot where they can kind of do that classic trope of them going "back in time" (from the year 3000) back to whatever year this movie will come out and they have to protect/fight alongside with the MMPR rangers, like before they get their powers........so then its like a prequel to the inevitable MMPR movie, that can use the same like preteens they cast and by the time they film their movie they'll be the right age to be the teenagers with attitude in high school......while also introducing general audiences to a "new" team of rangers *first* , because people get super attached to the "originals" and then they can get their own sequel and tie in more PR universe stuff while the MMPR movie series can focus on MMPR and hopefully stuff from the comics etc, best of both worlds.
If they do anything, I want them to come up with concept that is completely original. Something that's not mmpr, not based off of any Sentai series or not any PR season either. Only original idea.
@nicholasdeporto5257 the only thing from Toei and Sentai is take from how they tell their stories and use as much practical effects as possible. I've how some of the digital artists draw and the CGI suffers. And they just need to focus on the story and not opinions.
I feel the same way. If Paramount is in charge of this reboot, take notes from TMNT Mutant Mayhem or Transformers One. If it is a Mighty Morphin reboot, I loved the 2017 movie don’t get me wrong. But bring back what was missing from last time but still make it a fresh new look. I just want to be surprised who they choose as director.
People are always talking about what the next pr property to be, but never focus on the fact that we really haven’t had a team that wants to make well written, well developed content for our fan base and ESPECIALLY the mass audience. Power rangers is looked as an ip for kids; which is kinda is. But it can be placed on the same level as Sonic and Marvel or DC if they take their time and give us something worth risking my relationship with my girlfriend. Here’s a pro tip though, please don’t give us fully cgi suits. Find where ever Tokujay is and they’ll take care of the rest.
I'm curious to see what will develop from this. I honestly think it would be great to see something like what they are doing with the Power Rangers Prime comics. A new story with new takes on familiar characters. Enough connection to what came before to appease the nostalgia fans, while having something new for fans who want something different.
Toei never said no what they said was there can be a animated power Rangers series but it must fellow 2 rules 1 it can’t replace live action series 2 it must air around the same time as the live action series
I don’t want it to be MMPR or at least not fully. I feel like they should do kinda what Power Rangers Prime did mixed with once a ranger and zenkaiger. They would create a veteran Ranger power team representing each section of power rangers (For example MMPR Red for the Zordon Era, Wild Force Yellow for Post Zordon Era, Ninja Storm Blue for Disney Era, Dino Charge Pink for Neo-Saban, Cosmic Fury Black for Hasbro) and either the leader or the six Ranger could be a new original Ranger (or Zenkaiger for obvious reasons). Start the new era with an anniversary of power type of thing
I mean, at least the fact that they're trying to play their cards right, and are trying to avoid the same mistakes that led to the 2017 movie underperforming is a good sign. Really, the safest approach would be to do another MMPR reboot. And the possibility for a potential Transformers or GI Joe crossover; I mean, again these are properties with a ton of name brand recognition, at the same time, I'm very iffy about the idea of a "Hasbro Cinematic Universe". Agian, given the state of film discourse(As in the stuff that isn't overran with Culture War shouting matches) I'm pretty sure the general public are burned out on big cinematic universes, so there's a likelyhood that it would end up being another Dark Universe level blunder waiting to happen, and we'll just be back at square one all over again. But as usual; I'll see what develops, and go from there.
My problem with doing another MMPR reboot is going through another origin story with the same characters again. Especially since the 2017 film wasn't too long ago. Nor do I think it would be smart to open with Green with Evil. If it was something like a Zordon origin story where he was the young leader of his own team then I'd be more interested
@FireFury190 I would fully go with Green with Evil from the start. Use the animated series to introduce the team and when the movie starts do a 5 min recap and start with our heroes being well known and at the top of their game and let Tommy be the audiance insert character.
They could make power rangers like Spider-Man and flash. Make it for adults but still kids can watch. They need a mature look. They shouldn’t do mmpr or any other season. They should just do power rangers. New suits. New names. Instead of zordon maybe make it like a Bruce Wayne or Tony spark. Make Billy a really rich guy making suites.
power rangers has an infinite potential for adults and kids they just dont know what to do with it, look at sentai its been going on for 50 years thats sentais potential power rangers could do something similar
If they want to be smart, they should market their movie better if it does manage to come out. Also a better Hasbro × Paramount shipping name could be MountBros
They allowed Kamen Rider to get a Fuuto PI anime. So they're probably more lenient. Though there are Sentai inspired anime out now. With the Red Ranger Isekai one coming next month which I'm excited for.
well, GI joe is a draw for the US, its not really a thing over in europe, so a PR corssover with transformers or turles will have more of the name draw
No, no, no - Keep Entwistle away. I'm so glad he's gone. So relieved. It needs to be MCU meets Transformers meets Toku. It needs to be self-referential, parody its own more whacky origins and just allow them to be proper Superheroes, without trying to make them some edgy and gritty small-town heroes.
