Hey BEAT family! Happy Friday! Here are 5 reasons why I believe that the apocrypha was not inspired by God and therefore should NOT in in our Bibles today. There are many false teachings in it and I go through only a few of them in this video. This video is much longer than my normal ones but please do watch and follow as best you can as this is a very DEEP and difficult topic to cover. Leave your questions, comments, disagreements below and let's talk about it! Please be respectful of all. Blessings,
@@wigi3795 Did you watch this video? How can you argue in light of the doctrinal inconsistencies found in the apocrypha? Have you truly investigated this and not just accepted what might have been handed down to you? The Bible cannot contradict itself and so therefore, there cannot be two truths. Either the Bible is wrong or the apocrypha is wrong. But they both cannot be right.
hey mr Paar, I really enjoyed the video, thanks for the advice. and I have a question: Is convincing non believers to convert into christianity/muslim/jew a good thing in these days?
Hey Allen there's some misinformation in your video from the standpoint that you give the impression that the Apocrypha found in the Catholic bible is the same as the KJV 1611. In the 1611 there are 14 books in the KJV Apocrypha not 7 as you found in the Catholic bible. I would not be surprised that the Roman Catholics took certain liberties with the scriptures by inserting the doctrines of men in their pages. As they have by so-called removing the Sabbath day for Sunday and giving alternative holy days like Christmas and Easter not found in the Bible but were pagan celebration hundreds of years before Christ stepped on the scene. A comparative analysis between the two versions would be interesting. Based on the 14 KJV books I've read so far I haven't seen any doctrinal differences with the Canon. The two work together. The Maccabees also give a historical account of the time of the third beast's reign (The Greeks). When I was in the protestant church, I was always told that the period between the old and new testament is when God was silent. But this turned out to be false information once I started reading for myself. I've never viewed a Catholic Bible. I noticed that you quote from the Catholic bible. Have you read all 14 books of the KJV Apocrypha for at least scholarship purposes (so that you know that you know for yourself) or are your references based on other sources and commentaries? The only reason I ask is because of the focus on the Catholic 7 books but do not acknowledge the KJV 14 books. Laymen who view your video won't know the difference, so I think you do the people a disservice. Praise the Most High for you desire to serve His people, but we must worship him in spirit and in truth. So, you got to give the people the whole truth even in these short videos. Shalom.
Please brothers and sisters in Christ, pray for my grandfather. He is dying and until know, he cannot let go. Please pray that the LORD may grand him peace and eternal life. I don't want him to suffer any longer. Thank you and God bless! [Edit: My Grandpa died in the end of 2019] Thank you all for your prayers.
Precious Lord, please heal grandpa so he no longer suffers, and please heal him in spirit, in mind, and in body, and please reconcile him unto you, and please work out whatever is needed so he accepts your invitation to go home with you where he belongs for eternity in the diviness of thou name. Amen.
@@nanakojo Its about salvation and much more. Salvation is the end part, being with GOD...but those books added to the Bible add context to GODs word. Then there is the bigest part...love of GOD for us. Of course salvation is important but its more thn salvation
Yep not only that but Luther wanted to throw out the book of James cause it said man is not saved by faith alone. Protestants really don't think shit through.
The book of Maccabees does not tell us to pray for the dead. It explains what they were doing at that time. It does not instruct us to pray for the dead. There are many/most books that explain what the people were doing, but just because they were doing it doesn't mean it was right to do. Books talk about the sinning of man, it isn't telling us to sin. It's just telling us what they were doing.
MICHAEL MOLIG because they are misguided, and not reading the Bible. First of all, and feel free to correct me with Bible, nowhere in the Bible does it say to create religions. Nowhere in the Bible does it say to be Catholic, Protestant, Baptist, Non-Denominational, Lutheran, and so on (list them all). The Bible says to follow Jesus and be like Jesus. Like all of these listed above they were created by man to fit their own agenda. Please look into the origin of the Catholic Church. The Catholic Church does tons of things that aren't in the Bible. Allow me: Ash Wednesday, worshiping Mary, worshiping saints, creating holy days, the trinity. Seriously I could go on.
I've had multiple dreams of Jesus returning 🙏 I pray whoever reads this repents and worships Jesus. I dont not know the day nor the hour but I know he's return is near! Thank you Jesus!
Don't know if its relevant due to the warning of "dreamer of dreams" but I've had dreams of the moon and eventually of me walking into the moon and a quick research of what it could mean led to "lunacy" which i was recently diagnosed with schizophrenia after meeting and hearing demons and angels. Even a recent dream of a multi headed dragon and being summoned into battle with angels in what looked like a city in the sky... so yeah, im with you Naidy, im hoping people read and watch this and all of us repent and return to the truth quickly.
@@deepforestfire thanks for that, and hopefully I can learn to do more good than bad. But sadly I think the Lord wants me like this due to my character... I was reading Romans and it pretty much hit home that my mind was given to reprobate... convincing me that i am becoming an antichrist
As a Catholic have got to say none of these reasons made sense aren’t in alignment with our teachings or catechism. Think you were told some misconceptions about the Catholic Church but thanks for the info as it helps me to understand where Protestants are coming from.
Can you elaborate on your understanding of your teaching and why any of the reason in the video doesn't align with catechism? I'm a protestant but open to listen to other's understanding. Thank you and God bless.
@@ianbuick8946I’m not catholic but a lot of his videos have misconceptions about other religious beliefs. If you want to know what they believe study it from them . Look up their videos
@@ianbuick8946 Type into Google something like "first time Christians officially chose the canon of the Bible". It will probably take you to a website discussing the Council of Rome in 382 AD. The 73 books chosen then should match those in a Roman Catholic Bible and I think all Christian Orthodox denomination's Bibles will also have those 73 books (many denominations add more)
Don't apologize for the length of the video. I think you should make longer videos. You get more detail and explain things better. Thanks for all your videos and all that you do. God bless!
i agree, a longer video would be a great idea especially for us that are finding our way back, we have so many questions when we start to learn about the Bible :) i was Catholic and just in the small amount I have learned from my pastors I have seen how wrong we were practicing our Faith all along. thank u for ur videos! thank you for educating and informing us, you go about it in a very respectful manner.
Straight blatant contradictions in these books! Paying money for salvation etc.. is clearly saying that Jesus Christ’s work wasn’t enough! It reminds me how Simon tried to pay to get Holy Spirit smh. Thanks for pointing this out brother Allen🙏🏾
Which is more dangerous to its believers....catholicism or scientology? The reson I wonnder this is because scientology doesnt preach salvation comes through scientology

I'm not rejecting the Apocrypha..Before my son Andre died the Holy Spirit came over him and he copied and connected over 300 Bible verses..Including the Apocrypha!!.. Therein also lies when Israel was under the captivity of the Greeks (Herodians)..and God YHWH raising up Judas Maccabees and his 5 brothers to fight the Greeks..Shalom..
Thank you for the explanation, brother Allen Parr. As an african, it's normal to hear stories of communicating with spirits of dead people and I used to quote *Ecclesiastes 9:5* or *Deuteronomy 13* to escape from such questions. But, after reading *Luke **16:19**-30 (The Rich Man and Lazarus)* my eyes were opened. May God bless you for such wisdom!
@@keynat9755 Abraham said to The rich man, “And besides, there is a great chasm separating us. No one can cross over to you from here, and no one can cross over to us from there.’” Luke 16:26 NLT, to be this indicates that there is a separation from the living and the dead and that we cannot crossover to the spiritual world
I’ve had dead people come to me since I was around 7. I questioned anything anyone tells me NOT to read. Jesus did it and he say we would do greeter things. I’ll stick to my spirit and Jesus verses an opinion. I’m smart enough to think for myself. Some I believe some is obvious I don’t. Have the Holy Spirit cover you and make your own decisions people. No man can truly be trusted but Jesus… he can. Blessings.

In ‘Against Heresies’ (Book III, Chapter 21) 180 AD, Bishop Ireneaus writes the Apostles that used the Septuigint. Read it yourselves. Ireneaus was taught by Polycarp, and Polycarp was taught by John the Apostle. Who are you going to trust? Zero Christian bibles prior to Martin Luther in the 1,500’s had bibles that matches the current Protestant bible
Hi sir! Please take your time to also watch this video: th-cam.com/video/cNrcGY5oe3M/w-d-xo.html I know Allen is indeed a good-hearted Christian, but there are also misconceptions that he unfortunately was either raised or fell into. May God Bless you and I pray for the best on your journey!
In the book of Joshua it refers to the book of Jasher. In the book of Jude it refers to the book of Enoch. (Jasher & Enoch were removed from the bible) If these are Justified books why would they be referring to scripture that isn't true, books that arent inspired? That makes no sense. The same council that removed these books and others almost removed Revelations. If they did teachers like this would tell you to avoid it, and if we did how much critical information would we have missed? To much! Thats why the scripture teaches that you should not add or take away from his word. He knew people were gonna take away from his word. Do we believe the council or His word? Do we trust The Father or man? If you trust the people that removed his books then remove the book of Jude & Joshua yourself since they refer to corrupt scripture that this (so called anointed) council didn't deem as credible. Keep in mind you will find nowhere in scripture where the Most High had given these men permission to subtract from his word.
The apocrypha is inspired... And why is he using "Protestant" so much? Where is that in the so called cannonized Bible? Why should a believer in Christ identify as that just because of what Martin Luther did?
I would like to see your counter rebuttal to Trent Horn. I found his rebuttal to this video to be a great rebuttal. Yes I am catholic, but I really think his rebuttal is acceptable than this video. I know that this video can go deeper to support your arguments and you have no time to make it as you said on your disclaimer. That is why, i would also like to see if you will make another video reacting to Trent Horn's rebuttal video. God bless you, Allen! Thanks
People, do not listen to the opinions of men. Read the scriptures yourself and ask the holy spirit to be your guide while testing all things as Moses instructed us in Duet 13 and 18.
@@blakenaquin-o3j bro if a literal god came to Earth and handed down divine knowledge himself, why would you trust random men who claim to speak for him after the fact? If he can communicate directly with people, why are you supposed to trust some random men, and how are you supposed to know which men are divinely authorized to change what's gospel, versus which are just making up nonsense? There's a whole lot of contradiction out there. That's just asking for a pornocracy lol.
@@WhompingWalrus that’s a good question. The Church doesn’t assume that responsibility, it was given by Christ when he said things like on this rock I build my Church, the authority to bind and loose, and go baptize all nations to the apostles. He gave this authority to the apostles and the Catholic Church is the only one who can trace itself back to the apostles so that we see the deposit of faith unchanged from 33 AD until now. The Church has developed with apostolic succession, but the dogmas and doctrines from the early church are unchanged and the developments have never contradicted the deposit of faith. This is how we know that bishops and priests are not just random men but have been ordained by successors of the apostles who were themselves divinely ordained by Christ.
Same. I heard the teaching in the Apographa. It doesn't sound like a lie. It's almost like these preachers worship the bible and cannot recognize the words of god? Im not sure.
Thank you so much for sharing this! I literally asked my husband this morning if he knew anything about the Apocrypha and he told me he just watched this video. God’s timing is perfect! Thank you for always sharing the truth in such a bold yet loving way!!
That Josephus reference brought everything together for me. Not everything that's written, however useful and informative, is Divine! Thank You, Brother Parr 🙏💯
Except Josephus is part of the Pharisees, which is only ONE sect of Jews at the time. Other sects of Jews did accept and use those books, including the apostles and their disciples. Also keep in mind, that Josephus used the so-called apocryphal version of Esther and Ezra, which are not in your bibles.
People can say whatever they want. They can make the lies sound like the truth. You have eyes and ears. Welcome the Holy Spirit, read the bible, read the apocrypha thoroughly, discern what is right and wrong. Let each man find the truth by searching for it themselves. Hear all the things people have to say through TH-cam or other ways but only accept the truth. Remember Jesus' words. " You shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free"
Jesus is the complete Truth. You don't need anything extra. I have the read the book of Enoch. It is interesting but it doesn't make the Bible incomplete. The gospel is what the world needs
@@edgelorddragneel1142 There are plenty of people who believe they are hearing the Holy Spirit but are in fact mistaken. It is almost like Jesus left us a church to help us discern the truth. Hmm... He did say to take things to the church. He did say that Peter was the rock upon which that church was built. Interesting. The Holy Spirit guides the Catholic church and no other.
People you have to go a little deeper. Copy and Paste this video " tribe of judah teach apocrypha" never get info from a Christian who just heard get it from one who can break down the Apocrypha.
Guys, guys, it's not a bad set of books, it just isn't biblical. You can still gain some wisdom from them just don't think they are legit Gods books to be concluded.

@@charlenea6180 this right here . I went to catholic school myself and if it’s wasn’t for that school I wouldn’t have known nothing about god. Allen, I do honestly believe that Wisdom of Solomon 2:12-20 will completely change your mind. It is a perfect prophecy of Jesus Christ, and came round about 50 years before he came to the earth. It is absolutely spine chilling.
God bless you man of God. I'm a teacher myself and I am elated that you took the time to explain this to the people. It's something that I had to do as well, as I debated with others who were operating in ignorance. What's sad is that I came out of a Pentecostal Church and I heard there were preachers who were preaching and quoted from the Apocrypha themselves. The problem is that people are not seeking the Lord for truth and understanding. No one is fasting and praying and asking the Lord to confirm anything through the Holy Spirit anymore. They are just basing everything off of someone else's teachings and their intellect and that's why there are so many people giving in to false teachings. People need to realize that the Apocrypha was written during a time when God, because of His anger and displeasure had stopped speaking to His people. For 400 years, He was silent, until He sent John the Baptist. It was man who decided they needed to finish the scriptures. And to add to the Bible. But they did it without the guidance of the Holy Spirit or confirmation by the prophets. And the fact that the Jews and even Jesus Himself, who was also a Jew and the Apostles rejected these writings and didn't even reference them in the New Testament, should be all the evidence that people need to understand that these books should be rejected. But Satan is cunning and deceitful. He is the father of lies and has deceived many people into accepting these other teachings. The Bible tells us that we shouldn't seek after being teachers, knowing that the judgment for us will be harsher than others. You have to be called to be a true Kingdom Teacher. You have to be anointed by the Lord. Have to allow the Holy Spirit to guide you as you research and study to be able to rightly divide the Word of Truth. And many people are not called and are teaching based off of their own understanding. These false teachers are going to have to give an account for misleading so many people. And those who just accept it, without seeking the Lord through prayer and fasting, will be held accountable too. The Apocrypha is the Word of God people. It's the word of man, who tried to add to the Word of God because God stopped sending people to write scriptures. Please pray and fast about it, sincerely and I assure you that the Lord will confirm what this man is teaching as being true. God Bless You.
My mom told me that I'll know in my heart if apogrypha is legit because the holy spirit will tell me. Truth be told, I stopped reading the apogrypha because it didn't feel right. I was convicted by it. An that's the evidence I need. Godbless.
Here's a thought my pastor had on praying for the dead: if they didn't or had trouble praying for for you while living, you can forget them praying for when you are actually dead🤣🤣🤣
I was on the fence about this topic but after watching this video I'm convinced the Apochrypha is absolutely not scriptural by a long shot. Thanks for sharing friend!
I'm sorry that this video pushed you into the wrong direction. If lies were forbidden to be used to persuade someone to their point of view, then almost the entirety of this video would not exist. I'm hoping for a public debate with this guy, so I can publically confront him for these lies. Here a list: #1 - Catholics are not the only group that acccepts these books, so it's not a Catholic debate - its a debate against modern Christianity versus the first 1600 years of Christianity. #2 - misrepresentation of what 2 Maccabees teaches #3 - misrepresentation of what Tobit teaches (Tobit itself provides the context even, that shows that he's taking it out of context), also both Jesus and Daniel teach the same thing #4 - misrepresentation of what Barcuh teaches #5 - Wisdom 11:17 does not contradict Genesis is any way shape or form -- I'm at a loss of words to understand the logic behind this claim (if that's the absolute best he can find, something that agrees 100% with the bible) then that proves there's nothing wrong with the book #6 - lie that Jews rejected those books #7 - lie that Josephus rejected those books #8 - "the blood to Abel to Zechariah" is clearly nothing to with a canonical statement #9 - lie that New Testament never quotes so-called Apocrypha #10 - this is the absolute biggest lie in the entire video that proves that this person has absolutely no idea whatsoever what they are talking about -- that no one until the 16th century accept them (this lie is so ridiculous - the only people in 1600 years that seem to show some doubt about them was a few people btween 350-400AD, but they got over that and continued to accept them like all Christians did before then)
@@eveangel8967 #1 - For almsgiving rescues out of death and it cleans from every sin. The ones who are doing almsgiving will be filled with food of life; the ones who are doing sin and unrighteousness are warring against their own soul. (Tobit 12:9) & “For by giving alms, you will be storing up good treasure against a day of necessity. For that reason, almsgiving rescues one from death, and keeps one from entering into the darkness. For almsgiving is a good gift in the sight of the Most-High for all who give it.” (4:9~11) #2 - Nevertheless, all of you, give the things which are within for alms, and, behold, all things will be clean to you. (Luke 11:39) #3 - Therefore, O King, let my advice seem good to you, and abolish your sin in righteousness and your iniquities by giving alms to poor persons; behold, a lengthening shall come to your prosperity." (Daniel 4:27) It should also be noted that the context of Tobit with almsgiving has to do with physical consequences in this life. If the person actually read the book, they would know what "rescuing one from death" and "keeps one from entering the darkness means", because the book explains this: Tobit 14:10-11 “Look, my boy, at what Nadin did to Aciykar, the one who nourished him. Did not Aciykar go down alive into the earth? And yet God redressed the dishonor which was done to his person. And Aciykar came out again to see the light, but Nadin passed into the darkness which lasts even to the age, because he had sought to kill-off Aciykar. Because he did alms, Aciykar was saved out of a snare of the death which Nadin pitched for him, but Nadin fell-in into the trap instead, and it caused him to become lost. 11 And now, little-boys-and-girls, see what almsgiving does, and what unrighteousness does-how it kills off.” This is referring to a situation, in which Nadin plots against the righteous Aciykar and has him slanderously put in a physical prison. But because of the fact that Aciykar had been giving alms, this shows that he was a righteous man and the king recognizes this and saves him out of the prison before the day of his execution, and Nadin ends up falling into his own trap and is killed. So this provides an example of what the quotation is referring to in the book itself. So thisTH-cam video is failing to show the readers the context of the quotations, and are distorting the truth to make those verses sound like something they are not saying and making it seem like they teach something contrary to the rest of the bible, when they do not.
Just found one of these bibles in my house. Turns out my husband bought it years ago just figuring it was a regular bible. When I opened it and saw these new books I had to come research and see what it was ! So thanks for the video
They are not new, they've always been there. Only Luther did them away, but at the same time he also tried to throw out James, Revelation, and Hebrews so his temper was most certainly "inspired" (not).
THANK GOD FOR ANSWERING MY PRAYER through the explanation of this video. I was just introduced to the Apocrypha and was feeling discouraged. Although many books were written and can be used for knowledge. THE SCRIPTURES are The Holy Writings profitable for Doctrine, for Reproof, for Correction, for Instruction in Righteousness.
Unfortunately, this video was not an answer to prayer, since that would mean that God answered you with lies. I am trying to challenge the video's author to a public debate to confront him for his lies and misrepresentation of the truth. Here is a list of some things that are wrong: #1 - Catholics are not the only group that acccepts these books, so it's not a Catholic debate - its a debate against modern Christianity versus the first 1600 years of Christianity. #2 - misrepresentation of what 2 Maccabees teaches #3 - misrepresentation of what Tobit teaches (Tobit itself provides the context even, that shows that he's taking it out of context), also both Jesus and Daniel teach the same thing #4 - misrepresentation of what Barcuh teaches #5 - Wisdom 11:17 does not contradict Genesis is any way shape or form -- I'm at a loss of words to understand the logic behind this claim (if that's the absolute best he can find, something that agrees 100% with the bible) then that proves there's nothing wrong with the book #6 - lie that Jews rejected those books #7 - lie that Josephus rejected those books #8 - "the blood to Abel to Zechariah" is clearly nothing to with a canonical statement #9 - lie that New Testament never quotes so-called Apocrypha #10 - this is the absolute biggest lie in the entire video that proves that this person has absolutely no idea whatsoever what they are talking about -- that no one until the 16th century accept them (this lie is so ridiculous - the only people in 1600 years that seem to show some doubt about them was a few people btween 350-400AD, but they got over that and continued to accept them like all Christians did before then)
You’re right, it is an excellent video He shows why they were removed after 1200 years of being in the Canon, because they reject the teachings Luther wanted to create. Best part is, there are many excellent Apolgists who can argue these teachings from the 66 books left behind for Protestants to read.
I just watched Trent Horn's response to this video and he does an incredible job taking apart everyone single one of Allen Parr's objection to the Deuterocanonical books and shows where Allen is being inconsistent in his reasoning for rejecting certain books of the Bible. I encourage people who have watched this video to watch Trent's video as well to get a balanced view on this issue. Trent's channel name is The Counsel of Trent.
This channel did it too. It's astonishing how protestants such as Parr can fall so deep into error just because they never bothered doing proper research: th-cam.com/video/cNrcGY5oe3M/w-d-xo.html
Thank you for this video Brother Allen, it is very educational. I am noticing that a lot of comments that disagree use their emotions and not arguments.
For clarification, I love my Catholic brothers and sisters, I was just pointing out that one side was using arguments to make their case as far as I could tell.
Matthew 22: 31-32 31But as touching the resurrection of the dead, have ye not read that which was spoken unto you by God, saying, 32I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.
f I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there. He may not be God of the Dead; Thats Appolyons job, but his power sure does extend over there. How would Appolyon do a thing without God's command?
The very definition of Apocryphal in Webster’s Dictionary is “of doubtful authenticity; SPURIOUS.” The best lies are the ones closest to the truth. We really have to pray for discernment in this life and for the Holy Spirit to reveal what is truth and what is deception. Great video! Thanks!
Whew. I am a lifelong Protestant, and much older than you. About three years ago I was confirmed in the ACNA, which I sadly found out is also a false church, and had to leave it. Then I became so desperate for a church community that I almost got sucked into Catholicism. Thank you so much for this video. I probably knew all of this years ago, but one forgets and needs to be reminded every once in awhile!
Jesus didn’t come to start a religion brother. Just read the Bible, pray, and ask for guidance. God will answer you and guide you. Just won’t be on your time, our Heavenly Father’s time.
One reason you should: they were part of the bible from 382 onwards. I.e. since the first official bible was announced. Luther helped remove the books he did not like.
They don't pray to the dead in fact they are instructed to pray only to the Father but they believe Mormons in Paradise go into what they call Spirit prison and preach the Gospel if Spirit accepts then if Baptisms and other ordinances are performed on earth they can get out, so much wrong with that doctrine it is surprising anyone could believe it but they do.
No. We only perform baptism in proxy of those who have passed on, your ancestry. We don't pray yo the dead. Didn't you register this Matthew 6:5-15 kjb into your hardrive? Thanks for spreading lies. Sad how people are gullible to their own insecurities aren't they.
I actually heard a funny story about this where an LDS woman was able to trace her lineage to the prophet Mohammed. As a result, he is apparently now baptized by proxy into the church.
Hell has to empty up all her dead inhabitants for the the Final Judgement. All the dead both righteous and wicked who are waiting in paradise and hell in those holding places, Spirit prison is the place the rich man had found himself stuck in and Paradise where Lazarus went, is a holding place of peace and rest for gathering of all the righteous spirits, so the wicked will wait in a place of misery while the righteous will wait in a place of peace. They will be waiting for the time of the Resurrection and Final Judgement. Yes if someone does the temple work for their ancestors they will be let out of the prison....Isaiah describes the temple work of the dead of the prisoners being let out of spirit prision in Isaiah 42:6-7 But those who can't discern spiritual truth will only think it is just an earthly prison and not a spiritual prison.' This is why Paul talked about the three degrees of glory or gradings of the resurrection of the dead will go into after the books are first all opened up and all the dead stand all before God and are judged according to their works (Rev 20:12-13) . In the resurrection and Final Judgement everybody will be assigned by God a degree of glory (1 Cor 15:40-43) according to the works they have performed down here on the earth for God is Just.. He will grade all of the dead according to their works..... Speaking of the grading of the dead, Jesus taught, Ín My Father's House are Many Mansions'' Those who have sinned unto Perdition however like Judas did, will not be saved by the Father in a mansion of glory but will go to a place of no glory, but the rest who don't sin unto perdition will be saved in a degree of glory in heaven in one of those three levels so those who sin unto perdition will be cast into another place of hell called Outer Darkness down into that hell in the lake of fire which has no end to suffer in the second death while the temporary hell comes to an end when it delivers up all its dead out of it at the judgement who are worthy of receiving a mansion who have not sinned unto perdition.... So yes we teach that during the Millennium while Christ is on earth when he arrives, the wicked will suffer in the flame of eternal torment of dissapointment like the Rich man in hell for their unrepented sins and then they are brought out and judged, resurrected and assigned the lowest degree of glory by God because these spirits were rebellious, and disobedient to God and were not valiant on the earth and would not come to Christ. So they suffer even as Jesus did for them if you read the sufferings of Jesus in the garden of gethsemane, being in great agony for all our sins, that will be the sufferings of the wicked they will andure the pains of a God. But God is just and is no respecter of persons...
I never comment on anything. Thank you this was an answered prayer to a sincere question for me. Everything you’ve said makes so much sense. Thank You and God bless you brother!
Interesting video; a lot of non believers I speak to always brings up missing books from the Bible, or question why some bibles are missing/added books that others don’t have! Great watch brother!
I don't know about total rejection. I see the apocryphal books as history books. That's how I see them. They do help in explaining some things where the Scriptures only touch lightly, for those who wanna understand context.
When we thinking adding and removing books just ask what Bible was there first for over a 1000 years. Also protectants should really learn the doctrine of purgatory. Nothing to do with someone going to hell.

I agree with this summation by Allen, although I must add that Enoch's account of the ancient world definitely helped me understand texts like Genesis 6 , Psalm 82, Psalm89, Psalm91, 2 Peter and Jude concerning fallen Angels, demons and the Sons of God.
Hi @Lance, I'm asking this as I haven't read Enoch, but how do you know that these explanations are actually correct? How does one discern? Please read this in a friendly tone with me asking the question with no ulterior motives.

@@anonimothy5979 the book acknowledges astrology as the teachings of fallen angels, along with cosmetics for women, how to make medicines out of roots/plants, production of weapons, the secrets of mathematics, etc. Enoch really does give detail that lines up with the information we’re given in Genesis. @@rudihattingh5041 because of the way it was written and found, we can’t be certain it’s the truth or divinely inspired. The Apocrypha was debated by Martin Luther who not only wanted to remove the Apocrypha, but also Hebrews, James, Jude, and Revelation since they didn’t convey the doctrine he wanted. The Apocrypha was first removed from KJV printed Bibles in 1666, without the Apocrypha there are 66 books in the Bible, and in 1826 its removal was justified for monetary purposes… I’m a Southern Baptist, but I’m sticking with the inclusion of the Apocrypha, thanks…
Well it wasn't sola scriptura, Bible doesn't say which books should be in the Bible, humans have chosen. Other cases where sola scriptura works poorly is when Christians contradicted Old Testament scriptures by saying pigs weren't unclean before any New Testament scriptures were written, let alone considered inspired (and as I said above humans decide what's inspired not the Bible). No Christian Orthodox denomination nor the Roman Catholic denomination (ie the oldest Christian denominations) followed sola scriptura, only later Protestants said it was true even though the Bible doesn't say >only< use the Bible to find >infallible< religious truths. If it did it would've caused problem especially to first four centuries of Christians.
Crazy how I was just wondering about all of this, and talking to my Catholic friend about it. Definitely helped me understand it a lot more! Thank you!
The books that Protestants removed from the Bible are not Apocrypha to the Original Church. Maccabees talks about how they got tired of standing there and getting killed. Just to be clear, Mr. Parr says Judas, but it's not the Judas of the New Testament. They pray for the dead so that the Lord will have mercy on the fallen people's souls... Only the living can pray, so when someone dies, they are no longer able to pray because their body is gone. We pray for them for mercy. The money is not to buy favor... it's a sacrifice of our property... for works asking forgiveness for their sins. It's a selfless act. So Mr. Parr needs to understand things in context before he condemns them. Praying for someone on their behalf is not a sin. It's actually what Christ tells us to do. And if the dead can't pray, then we are their only source of prayer. Why would it be bad to ask Christ to forgive the sins of a sinner? We are all sinners. The money for the collection of Drachmae was for a jewish custom where they would do a sacrifice to cleanse people of their sin. We don't do animal sacrifices anymore, but praying for the dead, on their behalf, is a kind thing to do for a soul who can not ask forgiveness for their own sins. The reason why Mr. Parr doesn't understand this is because he comes to Maccabees with preconceived notions that we pray to dead people. NOPE. We pray to Christ to forgive them, and we have memorials and liturgies to lift them up from sin, because that is how the Jews did things. The virgin Mary interceded on the behalf of the wedding party in Canan, and Christ changed HIs mind and made wine from water... Why can't we pray to Christ to have mercy on someone's soul who has fallen asleep to the Lord? I want people to pray for me after I die, and everyone should. As a matter of fact, the Orthodox Church prays for the Protestant dead to lift them up, because we know that there are people like Mr. Parr that do not understand the Context.
i wonder why you protestant don't tell us what is the standard criteria that the Church used in determining what is inspired books to be included in the bible. Instead of ranting about your personal opinion just use the set of standard criteria set when the bible is compiled. as said no offense to you protestants the bible was not compile base on personal opinions but their is a standard and how they determined it.!
I agree that these books should never be in the Bible and Brother Parr I love how you break it down and straight to the point. May God continue to bless your ministry Sir!!!
What about the books you agree with that mention them. Should we disregard those books too or just that 1 verse you know like taking away from the Most High's word?
Thank you for this explanation. I was raised RC & questioned so much of it's doctrine. I began to study Scripture in depth & could not understand why these books are included in the Catholic version of the Bible. It makes so much sense now. This, & a few other reasons are why I left the RC church & found a true relationship with Jesus. I love your channel ❤ You are a blessing to do many!
@@_3d3p3_ Not to burst your bubble but the Catholic Church put the Bible together. However, they came from texts that were not of a Catholic Origon. The followers of Jesus didn’t talk about the apocrypha, why? Because it was a false book. But the Catholic Church, being the control freaks they are, added them in as a way to put more false doctrines, too further control and manipulate their people. To keep them obedient to the Pope rather than God himself.
Your testimony really touched me. I have always had a disdain for The Catholic Church. The terrible, greedy, and Ungoldy teachings they have that deceive so many. Hearing someone free themselves from the torture they bring to the heart, brings me such joy.

Thank you for this. I try to talk to my mom sometimes about why I don’t agree with a lot of Catholic practices. I was baptized In a Catholic Church as a baby, grew up going for a long time because of my grandma. When I got older my mom backed away from Catholicism and began going to Christian non denominational churches. Just last year I became a born again Christian and I have backed out of several conversations with my mom because I try to tell her reasons why I disagree. She has tons of rosaries (I don’t think she uses them) a picture of Mary also she used to hang it up but now she took it down. Every time I talk to my mom about it she gets defensive and says “my mom was Catholic so did she go to heaven???, she was good and she did so many good things for people” I told her God has the say on where she goes but it hurts to even give any response because I don’t know How do I respond to that 😥 Allen any advice would be appreciated. @@taliaenoch8188 Hello, Thank you for your kind response. I have MANY catholic family members and I know what is taught and to be honest with you the more I read my bible, the more I understand why the core of Catholics is false. However, I do believe that there are some Catholics that don't even have true Catholicism beliefs and only believe we are saved by Grace through faith and nothing more. I do believe that some Catholics may be saved because they don't fully believe the core catholic beliefs. I have been in many catholic churches growing up and I have seen it all and scripture is twisted. growing up, my aunts and family members would tell me all kinds of false beliefs about their catholic faith. Many of them act as if their deceased family members could hear them, when I see NOTHING in scripture about it. They would try to tell me that each saint heals a different body part. I was told that Mary would help with the barren womb. Once I read the bible it was very clear that Jesus is the ONLY way. I don't need to pray to Mary to ask her to pray for me. She cannot hear my prayers only God can. God is a jealous God and He is the only healer. Please ask God to guide you to the truth about it. Humble yourself before Him and He will make it clear to you. God bless you
I pray that our Lord and Saviour Christ Jesus, if it is in God’s plan, will bring you two closer together and unite you once again in Him. Hi Mr. Parr, thank you so much for this video it was very helpful. I have only one question, what was wrong with the section of Esther that was considered Apocrypha? Thank you!
I don’t see how it’s teaching something that happens the books doesn’t tells us to pay and pray for the dead . It’s just simply states that that what they did . Don’t take the word out of context
I just recently learned about the Apocrypha and I was very curious about it. Your vid is the second one I watched and I agree completely brother. Thanks for this! Be blessed 🙌
Thanks for explaining so clearly. I knew about this matter before, but I have found your teaching so easily transmittable to others who believe differently.
Thank you so much for this video my girlfriend and I go back and forth a bit about this and this just retools me to further get her out of believing that apocrypha is inspired
Some criticism: 1) while Maccabees is the reference for "praying to the dead", this is supported by Rev21-27 and 1Cor3:12-15 in terms of establishing a purgatory concept itself. That is, it becomes consistent with other areas of the New Testament. 2) this is the old "sola fide" thing, which isn't biblically supported. James and Romans both say that faith without works isn't enough. That's why Luther wanted to remove them as books. 3) these aren't mutually exclusive. "Formless matter" isn't said to be visible, so it doesn't contradict Hebrews at all. 4) the Jews also reject the New Testament entirely, so what?
@@williamsmith9948 No, not at all. It doesn't "offend" me. This isn't an ego thing. This is simply a fact of what's in the scripture; and the fact is Protestants reject much of scripture. That's why they removed 7 books from the OT, and Luther wanted to remove 4 from the NT before even his followers said that was a step too far.
@@williamsmith9948 And regarding work-less salvation itself, scripture is very explicit in condemning that, as well as all the apostolic and saintly figures who followed since. Salvation through works is precisely how one fulfills the virtues of charity, love and faith. Salvation without the works is meaningless. It's like a man looking at his reflection. As soon as he turns away, it is gone. That's exactly what you find among the work-less evangelists, the fair weather friends who only act according to Christ on a Sunday morning when the vicar is looking. And what do such people argue? They argue that people are saved regardless. That Jesus's sacrifice guarantees them a place in Heaven. And that's palpably wrong. People have, still do and will reject God's word. He won't guarantee them salvation. We can pray for it, but it's no certainty. Again, scripture is very clear about this *when* you don't cherry pick like Martin the German heretic.
@Minutemen Revival Ephesians 2:8-9 " For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.", John 3:16, Romans 3:22-28, 9:30-32, Galatians 2:16.... the Bible repeatedly and clearly states that salvation is by the grace of God, meaning we are born in the spirit and as such, we do good works not because our salvation depends on it but because the spirit of God is bearing fruit (Galatians 5:22-23 " But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control. Against such things there is no law."). By saying that salvation can be attained through good works, we belittle God's perfect righteous standards (Romans 3:23) and also imply that Christ's sacrifice wasn't necessary (Galatians 2:21 " if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!"). Salvation through grace does not mean that we should continue to sin. Rather, we should live to honor God because of our gratitude towards Him and also to hold good testimony to those around us so that they may also come to know God. Genuine goodness is when you do good works even if you won't get in trouble for not doing good. And this is how God wants us to use our freedom through Christ.
@@avisiekesiezie7630 It doesn't imply that at all. Scripture maintains that works and faith are on equal footing. They are both necessary. Catholics don't say that works are superior to faith or grace the same way that we don't say tradition is superior to scripture. Again, both are equal and necessary. What protestants do in error is proclaim that one beats the other, and these are never supported. No biblical verse upholds either sola fide or sola scriptura.
1. 1 Cor 3:12-15 speaks of the possibility of someone losing his or her rewards in heaven but he or she is still saved. Verse 15 particularly doesn't speak about purgatory. 2. FAITH = SALVATION = Good Works, NOT Faith + Good Works = Salvation. 3. GOD created the universe through HIS words. If you think words are sort formless MATTER then maybe you are right. 4. This is about the books in the pre-JESUS era which are in question. Of course, the Jews rejected JESUS so it goes with it their rejection of the New Testament.

You are wrong the apocrypha is part of the bible, It refers to new testament a lot of times .

Shalom.

BeWare Studies we all sin from time to time
The book of Maccabees does not tell us to pray for the dead. It explains what they were doing at that time. It does not instruct us to pray for the dead. There are many/most books that explain what the people were doing, but just because they were doing it doesn't mean it was right to do. Books talk about the sinning of man, it isn't telling us to sin. It's just telling us what they were doing.

@@WhompingWalrus that’s a good question. The Church doesn’t assume that responsibility, it was given by Christ when he said things like on this rock I build my Church, the authority to bind and loose, and go baptize all nations to the apostles. The Church has developed with apostolic succession, but the dogmas and doctrines from the early church are unchanged and the developments have never contradicted the deposit of faith.
"The Apocrypha is the Word of God people." I trust you meant "The Apocrypha is NOT the Word of God people. Good message otherwise.

I'm sorry that this video pushed you into the wrong direction. If lies were forbidden to be used to persuade someone to their point of view, then almost the entirety of this video would not exist. I'm hoping for a public debate with this guy, so I can publically confront him for these lies. Here a list:
#1 - Catholics are not the only group that acccepts these books, so it's not a Catholic debate - its a debate against modern Christianity versus the first 1600 years of Christianity.
#2 - misrepresentation of what 2 Maccabees teaches
#3 - misrepresentation of what Tobit teaches (Tobit itself provides the context even, that shows that he's taking it out of context), also both Jesus and Daniel teach the same thing
#4 - misrepresentation of what Barcuh teaches
#5 - Wisdom 11:17 does not contradict Genesis is any way shape or form -- I'm at a loss of words to understand the logic behind this claim (if that's the absolute best he can find, something that agrees 100% with the bible) then that proves there's nothing wrong with the book
#6 - lie that Jews rejected those books
#7 - lie that Josephus rejected those books
#8 - "the blood to Abel to Zechariah" is clearly nothing to with a canonical statement
#9 - lie that New Testament never quotes so-called Apocrypha
#10 - this is the absolute biggest lie in the entire video that proves that this person has absolutely no idea whatsoever what they are talking about -- that no one until the 16th century accept them (this lie is so ridiculous - the only people in 1600 years that seem to show some doubt about them was a few people btween 350-400AD, but they got over that and continued to accept them like all Christians did before then)
@@XeenMusicwhere do Jesus and Daniel teach the same as what is said in Tobit?
@@eveangel8967 #1 - For almsgiving rescues out of death and it cleans from every sin. The ones who are doing almsgiving will be filled with food of life; the ones who are doing sin and unrighteousness are warring against their own soul. (Tobit 12:9) & “For by giving alms, you will be storing up good treasure against a day of necessity. For that reason, almsgiving rescues one from death, and keeps one from entering into the darkness. For almsgiving is a good gift in the sight of the Most-High for all who give it.” (4:9~11)
#2 - Nevertheless, all of you, give the things which are within for alms, and, behold, all things will be clean to you. (Luke 11:39)
#3 - Therefore, O King, let my advice seem good to you, and abolish your sin in righteousness and your iniquities by giving alms to poor persons; behold, a lengthening shall come to your prosperity." (Daniel 4:27)
It should also be noted that the context of Tobit with almsgiving has to do with physical consequences in this life. If the person actually read the book, they would know what "rescuing one from death" and "keeps one from entering the darkness means", because the book explains this:
Tobit 14:10-11
“Look, my boy, at what Nadin did to Aciykar, the one who nourished him. 11 And now, little-boys-and-girls, see what almsgiving does, and what unrighteousness does-how it kills off.”
This is referring to a situation, in which Nadin plots against the righteous Aciykar and has him slanderously put in a physical prison.

Speaking of the grading of the dead, Jesus taught, Ín My Father's House are Many Mansions'' Those who have sinned unto Perdition however like Judas did, will not be saved by the Father in a mansion of glory but
will go to a place of no glory, but the rest who don't sin unto perdition will be saved in a degree of glory in
heaven in one of those three levels so those who sin unto perdition will be cast into another place of hell
called Outer Darkness down into that hell in the lake of fire which has no end to suffer in the second death
while the temporary hell comes to an end when it delivers up all its dead out of it at the judgement who are worthy of receiving a mansion who have not sinned unto perdition....

I get what you mean but, wherever there is a doctrinal inconsistencies, I would chose to follow the divinely inspired scriptures.
I agree sis
Wrongggggg
When we thinking adding and removing books just ask what Bible was there first for over a 1000 years. Also protectants should really learn the doctrine of purgatory. Nothing to do with someone going to hell.
Absolutely perfect description. I have tried to explain this for years to my Catholic brothers and sisters, to no avail.

@Bean team Hi! Can you explain why?
@Bean team I'm curious too. Can you pick a particularly weak point trent made?
In ‘Against Heresies’ (Book III, Chapter 21) 180 AD, Bishop Ireneaus writes the Apostles that used the Septuigint. Read it yourselves. Ireneaus was taught by Polycarp, and Polycarp was taught by John the Apostle. Who are you going to trust?
Zero Christian bibles prior to Martin Luther in the 1,500’s had bibles that matches the current Protestant bible

Enoch really does give detail that lines up with the information we’re given in Genesis. While we shouldn’t accept Enoch as 100% truth, it gives an explanation to things that haven’t been explained elsewhere.
I know, but my question is - how do I know that it can be trusted?

Thank you, Allen…
We don’t agree on a lot but we do agree on The Apocrypha!.
You have shown me why it should not be there. God Bless You.
These books was part of the 1611 edition of the Bible who gave them power to remove them. Bible say you shouldn't add or take away
Agreed
Thank you!
Go watch Trent Horn's rebuttal of this video. You may be surprised at how wrong Alan is in this video
I wish I could be as stupid as this brother.
i wonder why you protestant don't tell us what is the standard criteria that the Church used in determining what is inspired books to be included in the bible. Instead of ranting about your personal opinion just use the set of standard criteria set when the bible is compiled. as said no offense to you protestants the bible was not compile base on personal opinions but their is a standard and how they determined it.!

It is deeply saddening to see all the Catholics in this comment section either speaking heresy or twisting the truth/playing semantics... please please please repent and obey the Lord Jesus Christ alone!
It's sad to see Protestants yapping without doing any research on Church history or the formation of the biblical canon.
But isn't that rich man praying to "Abraham"? And isn't he dead? Then how is he communicating with the dead???
I believe it's just a parable. I would humble suggest you may be reading too much into it.

@@Joseph-pe9yu to believe it's just a parable is also reading too much into it. The Bible over and over identifies when Christ is speaking a parable and it doesn't do so here. The rich man is clearly quoted as praying in Luke 16:27, "Then he said, I PRAY THEE therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father's house:" Now, his prayer fell on deaf ears, but he was clearly dead and clearly praying.

Every time I talk to my mom about it she gets defensive and says “my mom was Catholic so did she go to heaven???, she was good and she did so many good things for people”
I told her God has the say on where she goes but it hurts to even give any response because I don’t know
How do I respond to that 😥 Allen any advice would be appreciated.
I have been wanting to talk to my mom about how I is just about putting our faith in Jesus and knowing that salvation is the free gift from God, I just try to avoid her getting upset with me.
Sorry so long.... I need to pray on this.
Hi, Chriscilla. I understand where you're coming from. However, I would recommend that you watch the rebuttal to this video by Trent Horn (his channel is called The Council of Trent). I'm saying this because your comment came across as very sincere. I can tell that you have a love for Christ and the truth. The video by Trent Horn might actually have you change your mind on some things. If not, it will at least give you a different perspective on catholicism - even if you still disagree. Peace sister.
All the love in the world unto you,
Sincerely,

Absolutely agree! The Word confirms the Word. Praise God for filling us in.
Some criticism:
1) while Maccabees is the reference for "praying to the dead", this is supported by Rev21-27 and 1Cor3:12-15 in terms of establishing a purgatory concept itself.
@@williamsmith9948
No, not at all.
@@williamsmith9948
And regarding work-less salvation itself, scripture is very explicit in condemning that, as well as all the apostolic and saintly figures who followed since.
@Minutemen Revival
Ephesians 2:8-9 " For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.
@@avisiekesiezie7630
It doesn't imply that at all.
Thank you! This was great information! Your explanation agrees with the reason I was able to accept our Holy Bible as a full Truth in the word of God.
