Thanks for posting this. I saw Susan in 20-21 before they got married. She was awesome back then. Derek is just phenomenal. Especially for someone who doesn’t use a pick. Sometimes you can’t even tell and I love the way they interact. He’s very proud of her and I think they truly love each other

I was so saddened when the Mobile, AL show was postponed until June, 2022! I had bought tickets for my 42nd wedding anniversary. Oh well, getting a divorce now, but anxiously awaiting the next booking near the AL Gulf Coast area! You both are phenomenal talents. I watched a video the other night for an Allman Brothers concert in 2009, featuring Eric Clapton (so the TH-cam description said). Derek’s dad, Butch, was on the drums. I sat there in a trance for just 20 minutes listening to the absolute artistry of them. I know your dad was proud, Derek! The concert was 3 hours long, and I just watched that snippet, un-freakin-real! Derek and Susan, God has mightily blessed you. Thank you for sharing your talent with all of us.
Just for the record, Butch was Derek and Duane’s uncle, not father. Their dad, Chris Trucks, Butch’s brother, has been out on the road with Derek and Susan and their band for years tho, and works the merch booth sometimes, slinging his son’s band’s shirts and telling stories of the Allman’s family/scene from years ago, and whatnot. It truly is “all in the family” with them, and it’s so damn beautiful.
What an awesome performance!! I am absolutely loving the vibe here. Susan really is a performer at heart and her soloing skills have improved markedly! Derek is usually so stoic up there so it was awesome to see him really enjoying susan’s playing and the while gig in general. I’m stoked this was caught on video. Great clip thanks for the upload

That’s one of the Lucilles the museum uses for performances. She’s an ES 355, note the large knob that controls the Varitone circuit. That’s what BB played, and I think he played that very guitar. I was there for this. A free concert with amazing talent.
I appreciate the mix in that this audio is not from the PA rather this is direct from the stage. I'm also guessing the camera operator will mount the camera someplace other than the stage next time.
I do what I can. I used an iphone on a tripod in such a way that I could get a clean shot without having to hold it during the show. Maybe putting the tripod on a towel would reduce vibration. I enjoy archiving some of the music I see, but my first priority is enjoying the show!
