Excellent instructional video which I would grade A+. Very clear instructions and slow pace. Video contains a lot of redundancy which is perfect for me, since my mechanical reasoning ability is substandard. Professional presentation, good voice and very clear audio. A bonus is that you have good hands, trimmed and clean fingernails which makes for a professional and pleasing presentation. What I don't know is which printer manufacturer makes more reliable printers, Epson or HP.
Hi, thanks for the video. I tried all the diagnostics from the hp support page and my cyan is not printing no matter what I do. I bought my printer (k8600) in 2010 so I'm guessing i need to change the printhead, even if the diagnostics page says that the printhead health is 'good'.. My problem now though is that the printheads that where in my printer when i bought it don't have the blue handle to remove them and I'm basically stuck.. I definitely don't want to call an engineer for this. Any tips on how to remove it?
I have understood that these cartridges have a limit or charge level that is can not be filled too, with this system I guess has no limit but are filled completely. How do you explain that.
@leechviolator You might try to do a printhead alignment using these steps: Printing an alignment page using the printer control panel Whenever you install a printhead, the device automatically aligns the printheads to yield the best print quality. However, you can also start the alignment process manually. Press and hold the Power button. Press the Resume button three times, and then release the Power button. The device initializes the printheads and prints the alignment pages.
What if the printer service station doesn't move all the way to the left following your instructions? I turned it off and turned it back on and with the lid open held down the resume button and nothing is happening. How can I change the printheads if the printer is not responding to the resume button?

Its such a hassle. Everytime i get a new cartadrige, either the software dont recognize the new ink, or it does but just not print that colour. Then it doesnt even let me do alignment because it keeps spitting duplicated print test by itself and asking for more paper. Its not rewarding to lose 2 hours on spending money, installing and then it not working when you only need to print a single document.
Carlocki Is it happening to just one particular yellow cartridge or does it happen for all yellow cartridges? I’m wondering if your current yellow cartridge is defective. Otherwise it could be the printhead has an issue and needs to be replaced. The above video has the steps for replacing the printhead. The part number for black and yellow printhead is C9381A.
Please verify the model of the printer you are working with, and whether your issue is replacing the cartridges or printhead, or if it is something else.
A paper jam message can occur when there is no paper because other debris can cause that error, like bits of plastic, paper clips, staples, thumb tacks. So assuming you mean the model matches the one in this video, the Officejet Pro K8600 Printer, please see this document: A 'Paper Jam' Message Displays for HP Officejet Pro K8600 and K8600dn Color Printers - ( ow.ly/BQWW302XVOB ).
