About: Satisfactory
Satisfactory is a first-person open-world factory building game with a dash of exploration and combat. Pioneering for FICSIT Incorporated means charting and exploiting an alien planet, battling alien lifeforms, creating multi-story factories, entering conveyor belt heaven, automating vehicles, and researching new technologies.
This Factorio like game has heavy automation, with automated mining, crafting, and you can even automate movement!

What's been your favourite factory so far?
Hard to pick favorites. I like and dislike elements from all the builds. For instance, the push-pull, I dislike here, but the style, stacked, and clean train line, I loved.

I love how the 'main base' looks more like a small city, like something out of Star Wars. I wish I could build like that, much have taken ages to plan out all the designs and factory blocks.
I was definitely feeling Coruscant in Andor. You could probably film s2 in this 😂

I've officially started "rebranding" my save into minimalist concrete jungle. I will also rebuild my existing train lines to make them into more grounded conveyor highway first and then build train tracks back on top, I don't like making my trains climb elevation so I'll incorporate lifts (later drone ports maybe) to change the highway elevation, very exited about it with each new factory tour, so many great ideas
Great build! Really impressed at the ability to get such irregular shapes with our lego block buildables :D
What a work of art. I had to watch and pause over and over. As a design perfectionist, and someone who likes to make creative use of textures, colour and elements, there is a lot here I can relate to... But the execution here is so next level, in both size and splendour. Absolutely everything has received treatment - each machine is meticulously clipped with architectural elements. I especially like the radiator-style roofs using spaced walls; I might try that.
It's amazing that everything works: to the point of having a central storage that even contains all late game elevator parts.

This factory is such a work of art in the brutalist style. I can tell that Fluxo has really rubbed off on this guy.
That's very interesting you find out there is some kind of relation between this builder and myself, because it's true, there is one, I knew him since 10 years, he introduce me to satisfactory in 2020 and we mutually influence each other in our building styles.

This factory just blew me away, it's almost incomprehensible how someone is able to achieve something like this. Is there any way we could get access to the save file? I'd love to explore this factory myself and see some design and architecture close up in preparation for 1.0.

I hope they add more lighting options in 1.0. The options you have for lights seems very lacking right now.. I want some small low profile type lights that can mount to walls and ceilings

One of top features that I see across most of the best builds is their use of color. As a graphic artist who got his start with broadcast television, one of the first things you learn is to check your work with a vector scope to make sure that you were not using over-saturated colors. Over-saturated colors in those days of analog tv could bleed and or glitch out the video especially if you had too white whites.
Any hew - I found that this practice served me well even when things went all digital, but not for the same reasons. By choosing less saturated colors, things come across more believable - more realistic. Just look at the color palette of Satifactory itself - the environments, the buildings (machines) - all utilizing moderate saturation. The most saturated default colors in the game is the radioactive green, but I've seen many players choose colors more saturated than that for pipes and buildings!
Jesus, that's wild. I love to give my factories a good building, I love designing nice architecture, but this is bloody amazing.
I do wonder though, since everything is at one location, what graphics card does this bloke have ?
I have a very good modern semi high-end pc, but running SF on high/ultra just gives me 3fps. I do have only an RTX2060 6GB OC one, I know my vram is low, but I don't fancy spending 700 bucks on a videocard just for one game (all my other games work fine) and I don't think my wife nor son would like me to spend so much on computer parts hahaha.
I have a 2080 and it hurts. You'll need to spend more than $700....like you, I have a hard time justifying thousands for one game..
@@mephInc Yah well, for TH-camrs I think it doesn't hurt that much. Their revenue overseeds their hardware specs anyway (especially this channel), so it's a good thing they spend it on hardware to make these amazing videos.
If I had the money, as in a winning lottery ticket or a good painting sale, I'd buy myself ánd my wife the best gaming PC on the planet, but that only happens in my dreams. I do want that fancy 7900 XTX though. I'm not particularly an nVidia or AMD fan, but AMD graphics cards are usually on top of the price/quality charge whereas nVidia by far isn't. I mean, look at the 4070 (Ti/Super/normal), why does it only have 12GB of Vram, whereas the AMD counterpart at the same price range has 20GB Vram ? I know the 4070 Ti Super has 16GB Vram, but it's 1000 euro.... The 7900XT has 20 and costs 770 euro.
@@YouriHL I was also eyeing that card. Again, can't justify it for my couple hrs every other day hobby.

I always reassure my little spaghetti cubes that I still love them and I just accidentally glanced at the mega factory lol
How do you have so high render distance?
I have pretty much every setting maxed out and at like 70m machines and blocks such as roofs start to be significantly lower resolution
Photo mode perhaps?

@@GeorgiiiVaampire Hit P on your keyboard, then ctrl to turn off the grid thing. Then you can zoom in REALLY fast or run around ABC look for stuff.
Edit: I have no idea if this is how he does it, but it is great for scouting the map.
