  • When I was a newly minted bartender at Cole's this drink went on the menu as a Garibaldi. Now that I know better, and we know that a Garibaldi is a wholly different drink, For the video on that drink click here: • Master The Classics: G...
I took it upon myself to rename this drink the "Fall Enzoni" (not too original I know but I have a hard time naming cocktails). Until I am told differently I am going to credit this awesome reconstruction of the Original Enzoni cocktail to Brent Falco while she was running the bar at Cole's, I'll date it around 2012-2013 somewhere in there. Brent was my first real mentor in the bar business and I wouldn't be able to do what I am doing now without her. These days she is the Portfolio manager for Fernet Branca and she's killing it.

As a fan of the Boulevardier, will try this asap. Just a suggestion: in the decoration, put the grape towards the tip of the toothpick, so you can eat it without taking the peel off first.

Takes the time and effort to edit ”Shake 8-10 seconds” in between Leandro and the bottles, also writes ”WHiskey” in the ingredients list at the end.

If anyone has ever blown glass (I have a little bit) you know Leandro paid 💲💲 for that glass and you also know how precious handblown glasses are. For everyone else, act like it's made out of diamonds LOL

TeQroni. Concocted by a Marin county bartender.
Eliminate/substitute the gin for tequila. Add the same 2 red liquors (Campari & red vermouth).
Add agave and lime. Shake with ice. 👌🏼 ... and variations of... 😉
    You’re welcome. 👊🏼👍🏼

This drink is amazing. Made a regular Enzoni at the same time to compare. They taste similar, but the rye really cuts the bitterness of the Campari. Not sure which of the two I prefer. Along with the Gordon’s Cup and Gordon’s Breakfast, these two Enzoni variations are my favorite drinks that I’ve learned from LD.

totally love the bitterness from the campari and sharpness from the rye coming through the sweetness of the grapes and simple sirup.

Not the largest fan of the Boulevardier as I am not much of a vermouth person, so this seems right up my alley. Need to hit the grocery store for some red grapes ASAP!

That glass is so perfect for my lazy ass pour mixing in the glass self. This drink looks AMAZING. I have this bacon-washed rye I made for a Bacon Day family party, and it was disappointing in its baconess, but it's still delicious rye so, I'll use it for the Fall of this drink. Why not. Yum Yum.

Kudos on the fantastic presentation of the drink - wow! On another note, how are you putting the "Shake for 8-10 secs" caption between the bottles and Leandro?? It looks magic to me, but probably it's just a built-in feature of your video editing software. Anyway, thank you for excellent work and have a nice weekend! :)

What do you think of adding a 1/4oz allspice dram (possibly displacing some of the Campari) just to up the "fall" quality of the drink? I think the spice alludes to fall baking spice but since allspice dram is used in a lot of tiki drinks, it also can serve as a memory of summer.

This is absolutely fantastic. I used Sazerac Rye in mine. Higher than 80 proof, but it certainly did the job.

Just made this drink. Boy was that good ! I love how the Campari and Bourbon/Whiskey work together. Just bear in mind that grapes are usually very sweet. I'd put a little less simple syrup and a bit more lemon. Cheers!

Since it's a fall cocktail, what do you think about using a simple syrup infused with fall spices like cinnamon, clove, and allspice? Would that work, or just totally mess it up?

    • @TheEducatedBarfly
      @TheEducatedBarfly  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

I mean I think it’s worth a try, but it stands the chance of not blending right also the Campari may not pair too well with those flavors, then again maybe I’m wrong and you should do it and tell me what you find

This has become one of my favorite drinks, and is making me actually enjoy Campari now. Tried it with both Rittenhouse and Overholt, and you’re absolutely right that the 80-proof rye works better here. Thanks for sharing this one.
