Yeah I like him a lot I usually hate when wrestlers come to espn because the way they speak to the wrestlers always feels a little off or forced like they’re putting on a front because they clearly don’t watch but this one felt like the guy was actually interested in the convo not just putting on a show because wrestlers are here!
Soothing voice and genuinely knew his backstory on the product before he asked the questions. Awesome
This interviewer is great. He seems like he knows the business or he studied really well. Questions and feedback were insightful. He was enthusiastic and respectful to the business. Have this guy interview more wrestlers please!

Credit to ESPN for hiring an actual knowledgeable and respectful pro wrestling fan in Joe Tessitore.
Finding an excellent interviewer who also knows and loves wrestling is NOT easy or common.

Joe has been covering almost every sport ESPN covers since he’s been there. Very knowledgeable in multiple sports not just one specific!

he's Joe Tessatore the man used to be the head announcer for Monday Night Football on ESPN couple years ago. He also call the 2 - 3 best college football game of the day on ESPN as well. He has a very impressive resume and he also calls huge boxing fights. For him to have this kind of knowledge in pro wrestling is crazy.

Randy is my modern era goat. I know many would give that to Cena, but for me as good as Cena was he left to do movies years ago now. Randy has just done so much more and when you truly go back and look over his legacy it's quite astonishing.
He needs to be 17x or 16x time wwe or world champion! To complete his story from legend killer to legend

Great interviewer. First thing I noticed from him was when Randy was talking about coming back and being hesitant, then realizing he’s still got it and really getting back into things, he interrupted for the first time to say that part fascinated him (it fascinated me too) and kept Randy on that.
Randy deserves to break every record in wwe, being a fulltimer for two decades is insane

About a year ago I started getting back into wrestling. I remember a very young Orton, hearing him now is insane. The level of grit and how deep his voice has become is nuts, he sounds so freaking cool.
He sounds grizzled now like a battle-hardened vet. It’s actually badass

This was a good interview. Kudos to the interviewer asking clear and concise questions. Orton is a beast he looks better, bigger and heavier.

@@teecakes agree with you 1000% Joe Tessitore just on another level. RoFlo aka Robert Flores of MLB Network really good as well. But Tessitore seem to know his history spot on seem more like a hardcore fan as well.
If you compare Ortons run from 2009 and after that I say 2009 in WWE was his best work because of his feud with John Cena and the McMahon family, other than his run as WWE Champion
Randy Orton is one of the all time greats, man. One of WWE’s greatest investments for over 20 years. To quote “The Game” Triple H talking about Randy Orton; “The coal that has now become a diamond.”
Great interview, Randy Orton is the man! A true legend, been competing at the top level for over twenty year and still going strong, great to see him back from injury and competing at WM 40.

I've had exact same surgery, S1,L4,L5 with titanium plates n screws, etc!!! Glad he was able to return, I was 30 years old with a broken back, then surgery, it sucked!!! 3 disintegrated disc which is past ruptured, and a 4in spinal fracture!!! Randy being able to wrestle again is a blessing!!! God Bless guys!!!

Can we please have Joe Tessitore and Ariel Helwani interview wrestlers. I love the way that they ask thought provoking questions to wrestlers. It's more interesting than the standard mark questioning that you get at press scrums.
The influx of college athletes is underrated in helping the vets like Orton develop and get bigger. Even look at AJ now.
Seth and Drew too. Those guys just ascend to the main event scene and become more established vets

How are these younger athletes eating and training more specifically that's different?
@@pendafen7405 Go listen to interviews with the wrestlers like Randy Orton and other old timers. These new kids that come in as athletes were trained in their respective sports in the university system by experts based on science and research. That gives the old timers access to the latest knowledge and experience that they didn't have before.
I think when all is said and done that Orton truly will be considered one of the greats, he really is the last of his generation and loyal to the sense he has never jumped ship to another company, never gone part time, never left unless it was for injury. He’s a legend.
I would have liked to see Randy Orton and The Rock in a feud. 2 third generation superstars going at it.
