I bought two of these because i liked the first F4 so much. I didnt know what to expect for about 100 bucks. I did not use the supplied scope, i used a Tasco Airgun scope 4 x 32. I mounted the scope, took first shot at target. measured distance from pellet hole to bullseye. adjusted scope. 2nd shot was a bullseye. I hit a morning dove with a shot and it ripped a big chunk out of the bird. im super impressed with the power and accuracy. I did the RC bearing mod to the trigger first thing after taking one shot with it to make sure it functioned. for a 177 caliber at this price this rifle is hard to beat. I love mine. I have to give kudos to crosman for their 5 year warranty. you only get that in top line rifles from Gamo. not many companies stand behind their product like that. crosman has a help line, i called it one time and they answered right away. real americans in america on the phone. thats damn good. Crosman, I SALUTE YOU.
I bought one and it really came alive after the break in . I did the RC bearing mod on Trigger and polished the barrel. Diana bullseye scope mount and better scope. Crosman 7.9g hollow points shoot very good. If using a bigger scope you will see the end of the barrel in the bottom of your scope.
Thanks Nibs! Hey I figured out those "pipes" I asked about a couple weeks ago. I am seeing the rods of your exercise machine LOL. Anyways love your channel please keep it up.
Nice video Nibs. I have one of these and they are a blast to shoot! It kinda just sits in the gun cabinet lately as i like so many have become addicted to accurate recoilless pcp airguns. Every few months i shoot it a few times and lube it so the seals don't dry up. Awesome little rifle! 😊
G'evening from the High Desert of Southwest Idaho 🤠 . I had an F4 with a CV-Life 3_9x32 on it that I spent a good hour and 250ish Crosman pointed pellets dialing it in @ 35 yds and it turned out to be a nice lil' supersonic tack driver even with that so-called suppressor 😇
Nice Nibs. I have the Benjamin Phoenix 22 cal that looks just like that except the muzzle handle. It's a great shooter. Look forward to you stretching its legs!
Great video wish i would have seen this before mounting and fighting with it for hours.... Almost got her dialed in completely but very fun to shoot for sure. You aint done this much have you . Going to definitely sub and like your contact...
I had the same difficulty mounting the back scope bracket- had to back the pin out, loosely tighten the clamp to the rails, then come back out with the recoil pin.
I was surprised by the rings that came with the Shockwave, same ones I'm guessing. Only real problem is not being able to mount a 40mm scope due to the fact there is no contour of the breach/frame.😢
im thinking about picking up one of these but ill have to get new rings. those are not tall enough for the 8-32x50 scope i want to put on it. im thinking about using gamo red fire pellets.
Great job Nibs Good start for this budget rifle. But with no open sights on a break barrel which will break scopes. It is a pass for me for non reliable. I know it is a price point decision. But they should have open sights one could buy and add themselves in preset positions.
I have the 695fps version( I live in Illinois ) and it's plenty for my backyard. I did the the RC bearing mod and it's great. I have more powerful break barrels, but they are a little to much power where I shoot. It' seems quieter then my pump rifles to. The scope could be better as others have said, but a sold rifle for sure.
Oh yeah one more thing, how about co2 to pcp conversions? I would trust your modifications and recommendations more than most. It could bring cheaper guns to a higher level.
I have only tried one so far and was unable to get any useful shot count and reliability from it. At this point there are so many very budget friendly pcp’s available I don’t see the point in trying to modify a co2 gun anymore
The beeman qb chief line of pcp’s are just one example and the beeman 2027/2028 if your looking for a pistol. Can’t buy a co2 gun and all the parts needed cheaper than those!
I modified my Hammerli 850 22 caliber co2 rifle to high pressure air. Bought an adapter and regulator for $40.00. Had an empty hpa bottle laying around so that saved 25 bucks. Now it's an accurate pcp rifle that gets over 100 shots. Not super expensive to convert if you have an old co2 rifle that takes the big 88 gram co2 cartridges it's pretty easy. Happy shooting!
There's a few videos here on you tube is what helped me convert my Hammerli. Fowler airgun channel was one fellow who helped with suggestions on mine. Just search co2 to pcp conversion for more info and don't attempt anything unless you have the tech savy ability to do so. 3000 psi is nothing to sneeze at! Be careful and good luck.

I think I'm going to order one of these from Walmart since Amazon won't deliver to my area
This is pretty cool because I am going to be testing my gen1 F4 s grouping today. Mine does not have the factory quieter on it. So it's pretty loud.

A little hot with that last pellet, I've seen this one at wallyworld, can't wait to see how it groups, happy plinking 😮

Great video I bougth one today what do I have to buy to mount the scoop it says not included in the purchase
Mine came with scope and rings. What part is not included?

Hard to believe there is a state in the USA with restrictions on airguns! Thanks for watching!
Is that California?
@@WalnutandSteel Yes but E- Bay O.K.?
Same here in NY. Never had any issues with ebay
To much power?
They say this nitro piston air gun will eat cheap scopes up like candy...yep they are right...😅..
I plan on getting my 13yr old one for Xmas
Lucky kid!
You're an awesome father!
nice montage nibs !!!!!
It's a good bang for the buck if accurate 👍
So far it’s looking pretty good out to 22 23 yards
I dont have gun holders, any suggestions i as to what i can use to hold gun in place while i set scope ?
I rest mine on a sandbag on the bench when I mount my scopes
Good Info nib's
Love my F4 bought it for $20 from a disgruntled seller 😂
