Had my PERFECT settings but i deleted the user profile not knowing it would delete my controller settings. Im pissed because nothing i change makes it feel the same as it did.
go to your mxbikes folder (mxbikes/profiles folder) specifically; in the profiles folder select your named profile and copy it to another location for a backup file... it wont get back what you had before knowing this but it will help prevent it from happening again
After messing with settings every single day because I knew I wasn’t able to ride with any confidence after 180 hours I realized it was my direct lean. I never tried it higher than 70% and one night I decided to throw it on a 100% with no smoothing on my regular steering lean and it worked miracles. Now that I’ve became familiar with every setting mechanic I have fine tuned my settings and the turned out to be just like yours almost. I’m still working on my l/r & f/b lean smoothing will be the key there.
I also took a moment to think about my binds and I really considered making my shift binds the bumpers it’s crazy how each time I hop on the game I’m getting closer and closer to learning the same knowledge pro riders have.
I actually have my shift up on X and shift down on A. It's actually cool that way so when doing starts I'm leaning forward a lil bit and just nudge the tip of my thumb forward to shift up as go thru the start straight. This way has given me the holeshot 90% of the time! The thumb is long but it isn't wide either, so this way makes more sense to me :)
A good up shift can deliver a great overtake. Downshifting you don't have to worry about until you approach a tight corner, so taking my thumb off a split second to hit the A to shift down isn't a huge risk when you time it appropriately
These settings are game changing. It's like night and day being able to actually hook into and take a rut with confidence. Still need to work on speed, but cornering is SO much easier with the changed lean settings and brake dead zone. Is there any chance we could get a guide on how to know what gear to be in? It seems simple but I end up stuck in third on a 250 most tracks.
What pc do you have cause I’m looking at Alexander pcs and there is ALOT MORE THAN JUST 1😂😂😂 so I’m just wondering cause I’m interested in a good pc and yours looks really good
Thanks for the Vid. I do have a question you might be able to help with. Would the adjustment to direct lean help with control in ruts for outdoors? I am currently going insane riding my normal set up on kellz out door tracks from years past. I basically explode half the time I am in ruts. I imagine that is from washing out or hitting the sides. Love the content and Thanks in advance 👍
Hey doc I’ve been playing mx bikes for 250 hours but recently my profiles keep resetting and I have to do my settings and apparel again when it happens do you know how to fix it if not do you know where I can get help?
Which is annoying in a game which is supposed to be a sim. For the life of me i coulnt figure out why some tight fast lines were impossible to hit for me. Because the bike cant correct in time from the lean angle you need to make the turn. I eventually realized everyone is running insane direct lean settings (i run 20 always, never changes). I dont think everyone should have to run low as me. But I think some of the swingarm mechanics and direct lean is being overly abused in the pro scene. To the point where some.of the tracks are becoming dependent on them. And the game feels more arcade. @REAPERDOC
I’m struggling with my Lean on Left stick I’m so used to tapping I’ve now moved to hold and moving but I’m not fully moving it in each direction so what setting would I change for short movement off the left stick
Ive tried both and im curious too. It seems more natural to go inverted but i get lost using the right stick for anything other than leaning back anyway lol about 100hrs in
If i set these settings, after playing the game and go exit when im done with playing the game, the next day al these settings are gone and it didnt save it. How to fix it?
Try a high direct lean after messing with everything including direct lean I never tried it on 100% if you want a more sim feel run it low and for an arcade feel run it high. Run your normal lean (steering) with no smoothing and 92%-97% gain and just be smooth and have throttle discipline. I also run my l/r lean & f/b lean with 60% press & release for both at 100% gain.
Thanks doc, I'm 250 hours in and love the SX tracks but struggle a bit. Ima check these out tho, appreciate you

exactly why i’m here rn. i’m beyond heated bc like u said. it doesn’t feel the same now even trying to remember the old setting s
@calexproductions8035 it happend twice so I took pictures of settings got used to it now it happend again and I had pictures
i feel you bro, took a picture of mine for same reason

This video completely just changed my gameplay thank you!

Thank you so so much you fixed my problem I’ve bin looking for 2 hours
bro thankk you this is so damm helpful
Yo doc, this might be dumb, but can you cover how to hit these national ruts without washing and crossrutting?
Doc! You skipped the rider lean pages on input 1! The direct lean is super helpful. I was running 35% 😅
Nothing changed there didn’t need to cover it ( I could have said that In the video that is my bad )
@REAPERDOC so default settings?
im new mx and this made it all so much easier
Wow I played for like 25 hours and these controls helped me a lot thanks!
Thanks doc I've been running 37% direct lean, I'm at 100 hours and wonder why I suck even though I'm in testing for a few hours a day
I shift with Y and X but since I grew up playing claw I use my pointer finger to shift
U claw kids are crazy! I could never do it
this helped me alot im progressing so much faster
Thanks bro I will be trying it 600 hours over here but I have qualifiefd for arl and made the main in St. Louis

Direct lean helps for sure
Lower direct lean will help a lot in ruts imo
do forward and back and left and right lean matter??
no they dont, its all your opinion on what u want to change or keep
120 hours much love ❤
finally found some good settings!
Hey doc I’ve been playing mx bikes for 250 hours but recently my profiles keep resetting and I have to do my settings and apparel again when it happens do you know how to fix it if not do you know where I can get help?
Nah I have no idea I’m sorry
@@REAPERDOC thank you though have a good day
What about rider F/B lean and L/R lean settings?
Nothing changed
Hey Doc, what’s your reshade?
My bike just keeps falling over in corners im at 60 hours i dont get how to drive corners?
turn on Lean Help
can someone teach me how to respawn
i do it by pressing esc and then back to pits...
under Input 2 you need to set something to Reset. Tap resets the bike where it is and holding resets it back to the track
What’s your left right lean settings
One thing though i cant really turn on smooth. how can i?
The 100 Direct Lean feels like Arcade Mode Physics on MX Simulator
I don’t like it either BUT most the top guys run it for sx
Which is annoying in a game which is supposed to be a sim.

@@ayoo_wassup yeah I run a 30-40 Direct Lean. Shouldn’t be possible to go past 50. If you need any more assist go play a arcade racer like Mx vs Atv
@@REAPERDOC super corny to be fast in a SIMULATION game you set the bike up for Arcade physics.
@@ayoo_wassup you are dang right. I run mine low too, just god awful to play with more than 35%

I can change the lean settings for some reson
Track name at the beginning?

@ReaperDoc
Then do you run default on Brake, Clutch, Rider F/B L/R lean? Curious why those got skipped
Yeah nothing changed
how can i get the acerbis handguards they on support portal dont work for me can u help me pls ???
Been rocking no clutch since the start of the game. My LB doesnt work and i refuse to buy a controller just for clutch lol
😂 Xbox controller? My lb stopped too
@@REAPERDOCyeah Xbox lol I didn’t even drop it. Everytime I buy a controller it’s cause my LB breaks 🤣
