Hey, TheGameSalon, I just wanna say I am a huge fan of you and love all your videos!
I saw you were having some trouble and as someone who's beaten everything except 10/20 mode(tho to a mechanic that doesn't work right) I wanted to give you some tips to help settle in on your first night.
Something you're already aware of is the importance of sound. Everyone and I do mean everyone has a sound queue, though, as the number in difficulty raises, the importance of keeping track of everyone will become. Sometimes you can be put into difficult situations like 2 animatronics at your door at once, for example, mother on your right and bondee on your left. If you hear bondee had just arrived there, then you know how fast you have to react. As for what to do in this situation, you can simply shut then immediately open the left door because the instant you shut the door, mother will leave, giving you enough time to deal with bondee.
Another important thing is delaying shutting the doors. Most characters will attack you as soon as they are done their sound queue so you can delay the door shut until that moment. The only challenge is learning when it's going to end, which isn't really hard to learn. This will help you maintain air better so you don't lose it as quickly.
I am not sure if you know this, but both the sheep and the pig will make 3 step noise before they get to your door and they are the only one to do it. The sheep is x2 more aggressive than the pig, so make sure to keep track of that.
As for the camera. That is really hard to say. There is a mechanic that causes it to turn off immediately if someone is at your door but from what I experienced and seen it's only for the original cast meaning only the top shelf. So not much advice I can give on 10/20. Though I will say it has been beaten and I my self have gotten pretty close to doing it so it's not completely impossible, just REALLY hard.

Tip: If the camera turns on, it will immediately turn off if someone arrives at the door.

I have tested Mother, if the door is shut BEFORE she comes, it does not count you will have to open the door and close it again. (She is blind so it makes sense that having the door shut before does nothing), also you don't have to keep the door close for her, she leaves imeadeatly.
Yeah... I learned this little nuanced mechanic the hard way. Though I didn't know she leaves immediately! I suspected it, but thanks for confirming!
@@Mike14264 There is one problem I still do not know, what happens if someone is at the door so it is closed, but she shows up afterward. (I tried to test it but I am still not sure because don't they kill you as soon as you open the door, [but when I tried to test the sheep and pig will not kill you but Grizzly will, I could still be wrong, but it happened twice to me and I still died])
@@eijahtaylor4403 well, you either wait for the character you block to bump into the door to then open it and close it, or you quickly open and close the door to get rid of her first. Really, it depends on who's closer to finishing their audio cues.
Maybe be more careful with Grizzly tho, from what you said, he sounds more vicious.

Yeah if you do it makes you stronger at the game and then you could totally ask them if like you can make your own custom night that would be cool I think mine would mostly just be with a bunch of mixed up characters or mine would mostly be like a SpongeBob game but more like The world of doom and then like all of the other characters have to work together though so mine would mostly just be a lot harder but it would be a little bit easy
Yeah and I pretty much tested this theory out myself because one hour would give you 24 minutes mostly I think I’d have to try again and just because it’s been such a long time since I tested this theory out
