Very clear and helpful instructions, Andrew! I've not known how to set our thermostats until watching your video today and we have been in this new house since 2013. I agree it is very complicated and would intimidate me every time it started blinking for information I did not know how to provide. I also finally got sick of changing both thermostats upstairs and downstairs several times daily so I searched for a Honeywell Thermostat that looked liked ours and BAM! I found you! OMG, I'm so excited! Watching you do it was extremely helpful and I took notes! I did notice the thermostat showed me that I needed new batteries which was helpful, but not mentioned in your video, although quite clear on the panel.

    1. Press SET 3 times to display “Set Schedule.”

    3. Press RUN.
"This thermostat is pre-set with energy-saving program settings. We recommend these

Great video. Question, I guess you can't bypass a cycle? My thermostat in my primary house is, when you set wake say at 68deg and time, then you go to leave, you don't have to set anything, you just hold it a few seconds and it bypasses that cycle and return cycle if you like.

I was raised being told to NEVER touch it! Now I have a home and have to touch this thing and I don't want to mess it up. Reminds me of when I was a child and wondered what my toys did while I was at school. I believe I've set it for the week the way I want. My question is, what happens when I'm gone? To be safe, due to my ignorance of setting a thermostat, I set it every day to 65. I'm not a fan of running the heater much at all and just use blankets and such. I also work later. So, I set wake up to 9am, I leave at noon usually and come back about 9:45p. I am hoping i did this correctly...

Most confusing piece of crap ever. I don't want to schedule, I just want my air to switch on when it reaches a certain degree. I don't care about Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday Saturday Sunday and what time, I just wanted always to remain the same and I want to always have control over my AC

+Buck Shot DON'T!! For $18 get a Honeywell CT3; you can turn it to heat or cool, up or down, off or on ... which is written upon the face (in English). But, be sure to take OUT that tiny piece of almost invisible white cardboard out of the contact points inside the cover (inside!!), that is NOT mentioned at all in the installation instruction pamphlet.

If your thermostat is set on heat or cool, press the hold button until hold appears on the screen. Release the hold button and the program will be overridden. To get back to your program, press the run button and you will get back to your program you previously set.

It means it’s warming the house to 74 from 66. But depending on the size of the house than the heat may take longer to heat to your setpoint. But if it doesn’t get to 74 within a day (Max) then it’s probably time to call the a/c repair guys

I have a problem three different companies have not been able to explain to me.
Moved in to my house three years ago and still can't totally get this system. I have a quad level home. There are three thermostats; lower level (master bedroom), main level and up stairs. The temperature in the main level and upstairs is not accurate alot. I have changed batteries. Can you explain how to manage the Three levels?
