The 2020 Mercedes-Benz A220 4Matic is for People Desperate for a Mercedes.

- Don't get me wrong - this Mercedes-Benz A 220 is a well-executed vehicle. It's got a cool interior, a great infotainment setup, good safety tech, and a sharp exterior. It just isn't worth anywhere near its $48,000 asking price. It gets average fuel economy, it isn't fast, it doesn't drive itself, it isn't electric, it can't carry more than two people comfortably, it's got a tiny trunk, it offers next to no utility, and it can't go off-road. Why would you pay nearly $50k for it then when for the same price or less you can choose from a whole slew of new vehicles that offer at least two of those things? Mercedes thinks its three-point star emblem is reason enough.

I have one of these. I find it fun to drive, with great technology. I have been happy with it for a year already.
Thank you! I’m car shopping and was so interested in a C class! Never even knew about these until today!
@@BoujieMimi trust me get the C class it's faster comes with more and is bigger
@@flyclyfire188 what more does it come with besides more horsepower that you cant get with this car?
LIKEWISE this car is Great... and i dont regret getting this one bit.
@@superproducercbiz more trunk room. Better steering and handling. The highest trim level also has cooled ventilated seats, better ride suspension. More safety features. Less plastic more leatherette material. Larger interior.
How is this vehicle desperate for ppl whom like or are attracted to them? I think this tittle is so tacky I’m a Benz owner and have driven most models in the Benz family. There isn’t anything desperate about the Mercedes brand…
I agree. This car is NICE had it for a couple months
Lol shade for no reason
@@apiscold absolutely I can only imagine what this individual have to say about my 2021 CLA250 😝…
Right! I actually have a 2021 CLA myself and it is a $52k after all the whistles. I guess that’s too cheap for them huh 😂 yet I am sure they don’t even have $50k on they savings account. Normally the broke ones are the ones who talk the most…
Gotta say, even though I’m a fan of yours both here and the gram, I have to say I think this your best video review to date. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Thanks! ✊
I saw this car in a parking in Seattle and felt in love with how it look, simple as that. Came home and bought one, the 3 points stars is just a bonus, didnt buy it for the brand.
Nothing desperate about this car. Great quality in and out. I feel a sense of shade throwing in this review ( im coming from a c300 amg and this still holds its own weight to say the least)
I got an a35 about a year ago and makes me sad how much slack this car gets a lot of people say it’s over priced and maybe having paid 60k for mine but I got mine fully equipped and with the amg engine it’s really really good. If you see it in person it’s different than seeing it on a video. Sadly tho the A line got discontinued so I’m hoping the value goes up a bit
@@FusionTechCinema i agree .. the reviewer on this video was CRINGE he must of had a rough morning or something...the outside its slick and streamlined, the insides are high tech and advanced ( even has just about the same room as a c300) and its a comfortable drive that has a little kick when you want it to.
wife 5 foot 1 has had hers for three years and does not mention wanting to get a new car. She says the car is perfect for her
Recently bought this vehicle, well worth it. You can tell the car what you want it to do by voice and it will do it for you - many features not mentioned here. Research it and you will be impressed with this car.
Hey Jeff, hope all is well. My wife and I are thinking about purchasing this car and keeping in mind it will be discontinued, have you had any issues with maintenance at all? We already own a C300 and I’ve seen mixed reviews about this car and I would truly appreciate if you can share your experience with me. Thank you!
@@jorgeguerra5475 I have not had any maintenance issues with the A220, solid car - minor complaint that I have would be that the stereo controls are too close to the cup holders. Whenever I set my cup down, my wrist switches the station or song.
I have the 2022 and I love it 🥰
I might cancel my Tesla Y order and get this until Tesla comes out with the small hatch $25k version 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽😎 i love the Mercedes LED dash at night🤩🤩🤩
It’s dope I just brought mines
I like it. I just wish that the 2-litre turbo from the GLA with 220hp was standard on this.
Weird. I remember there is also GLA same year model with < 200hp. And only US doesn’t have the A250. In Canada we probably only have A250 option. I never saw any A180 or A220 in Canada
what models do u recommend for the price?
Is this car quiet inside when driving? And does it drive smooth
can someone tell my why this was supposed to be the "cheaper" model but some are more expensive than the CLA?
It's all due to the options they add on. CLA with similar options also get up to the $60k. Mercedes options are outrageous.
It is cheaper. If your getting ripped off by the dealers that's something else lol
“ glass panel floating for about two feet? “ oops 6:43 😅
Push those headrest down 🤯😖👎🏽
u cant lmao
What do you mean desperate? So where is your s-class mercedes that you will never own? 🤡🤡 goofy content makers with their goofy comments lol
This brand-subservient mentality is what enables Mercedes to sell what is essentially a $50,000 economy car. 'Repent.4Satan' here clearly hasn't watched the video, but it probably wouldn't matter.
@@ChrisONeillUSA the goofy one is someone who would be paying 50k for a a220 lmao 🤣😂🤡
Honestly the new Mazda 3 turbo starting at $31k looks better inside and out. Also more powerful.
I bought the Mercedes A220 for the digital interior and ambient lights
@@vassybaby16 For sure it looks nicer and with the digital cluster and ambient light. I like it in my AMG C43 as well, but it's pricey for what it is.
@@BN99239 yea I ended up paying 45k for the A class cause I added a few things to it but I agree. For the Mercedes logo you pay an extra 10-15k lol
@@vassybaby16 bruh used C Classes are like 35-40K…
@@LaSombraa facts the c class stomps the A
cheap
