Isn’t he the sweetest 😊! My mistake may have been in crocheting him first 😂 So cute, there was no need to whip up the other 3? (I will though) Cheers as always Kimi 💝 Hope all is well your end x
Hello Lee! Thank you for all the well wishes. I am hanging in there! 😤 It is absolutely wonderful seeing Bobble Mikey again. He's still as adorable as ever, and I can't wait to see the others worked up when you have the time to do so. 😍 I haven't seen the toddler versions of any of them, so I am looking forward to it! I do enjoy making granny squares (I have made a couple from Yarnutopia's 365 days of granny squares), but I think making enough for a blanket is quite daunting! I admire your ability to do that. 😄 I am thinking of making a Frontline Bear as well! I'll let you know about that in an update email soon... 😁And ah, your crochet pieces never fail to amaze me. Such incredible detail. I love seeing them all laid out. Can't wait for more progress pics! Thank you again Lee. I shall talk to you soon! ~Donna
Hiya lovely 💝! Thank you! Oh man, wait until you see the other 3 toddler turtles ☺️ they really are the cutest. More motivation for me to get bobbling asap 😉 Yarnutopia’s 365 project has been on my to-do list for ages 😅 so tempted, although like you said, a little daunting to commit to making so many 🙈 I just read your email (sending truckloads of these 💝) and will be sure to respond 💗 (although it may be a little later, as a certain furry young man is casting glances at me, his lead and the front door…. he’s just waiting for me to put the pieces together 😉) xox
Everything is looking beautiful as always! Still curious about who the next star portrait is. My brain keeps saying Bette Davis but I think it’s just wishful thinking on my part. 😁
Cheers Lesley 💝! Not Ms. Davis but I do have something really cool in mind for her panel when I get around to it 😉 Well, I *think* it will look cool anyway 😅 xox
Thank you for sharing yours wips with us, it was a cool video!😃 My oldest wip is a Pete the cat amigurumi that I intended for my boyfriend birthday... 2 years ago ! LOL The worst is that since, I made so many others amigurumis that my skills really improved , and when I look at my cat, I find that it's not my best one!!!😄 Anyway, like many of my wops amigurumis , the only thing left to do is sewing the parts together and embroidery of the face! Wish me good luck!😉😄
This sounds so familiar Chantale 😂💕 I remember that I once had an unfinished amigurumi sit and wait for 6 months and all I had left to do was sew on the tail 😅 took me about 2mins to do in the end 😂 Wishing you all the luck! You can do it 💪! xox
I love the stars blanket. My guess is Vivian Leigh, or maybe Olivia de Havilland. You are so wonderfully talented. I wish I had the skill to do something like that. I really do love it. I also love the frontline bears. So cute. I looked up the pattern for those. I think I’m going to try and make some this year.
Thank you so much Christa 💝 Greatly appreciated. Great guesses 😉 Both ladies are definitely on my list, but unfortunately it isn’t their time just yet 😊 You will love whipping up some frontline hero bears. So fun to make and the reactions they get. are the best 💗 xox
Lee, I absolutely adore all of your creations! You’ve inspired me to take on the granny starburst that looks so fun and I’ve never done it before. I’m wondering if you have a video that describes the process for making your portraits and gets into how it’s done what you use etc.? If not, would you ever consider doing a video like that? I’m so intrigued by your portraits they are incredible and I would love to learn more about how they’re done. Great work, well done! I absolutely love your videos I wish you had time to do more of them!
Thank you so much Melanie 💝 Much appreciated. You’ll love the Starburst! So much fun to make (and so addictive 😊) I use a combination of programs to create the portraits - Photoshop and some freeware called ‘knitting pattern generator’ that I stumbled upon with a google search over 15yrs ago. So sadly, a viable tutorial would be impossible to make. However, there are some fabulous freeware options and pattern makers out there who could hook you up with a great pattern, if you would like to give it a go 😊 xox
Oh my goodness.... too many amazing projects to comment on each one! I loved doing the Granny Merge blanket too & it's a good reminder to crochet a 3rd one sometime soon...ish!! Hmmm... I'm wondering if it's Judy Garland for some reason, but she's in the wrong era to the other ones! Your Ninja blanket square is amaaaaaazing! I'm not sure I'd have the patience to do it all in bobbles though! I've downloaded the Frontline Hero Bear pattern, but not sure why as I don't crochet amis!!! Love the grannies you're doing! I tend to only manage 1-3 WIPs at a time, as it's too overwhelming for me to have more, but I wish I could have a constant granny project on the side as I love doing them, but tend to keep going til it's finished, rather than working on it in between other projects! I'm weird as I really don't like starting projects, probably as it involves too much thinking... ha ha!!...but love the process of crocheting them & finishing them! I just checked out your blog & it's incredible too! You don't do anything by halves or half heartedly, Lee.... love it!! Congrats!🥰 Blessings from South Australia💕🐨
Cheers Kerryn 💝! I wish I had your focus! Over the years I have definitely discovered that I am a ‘mood’ crocheter, so I’m starting and switching between projects all the time 😅 Thrilled to hear you have downloaded the Frontline Hero Bear pattern! It’s a step in the right direction, even if you don’t get around to it anytime soon right 😂😉! Thank you so much for stopping by the blog. It is still very much a work in progress as I figure things out, but it’s starting to ‘fill out’ a bit 😊 Much love xox
Thank you Claudia 💝! I try to limit my greyscale sections to between 6-8 shades as that seems to achieve a good level of clarity. It is also almost next to impossible to find more than 8 shades that blend well together in one shade 😅 It mainly comes down to experimentation, practice and a lot of finger crossing 🤞😂🤞 Such a compliment coming from you 🥰 Thank you xox
Hey, another episode whereby I’m lured down the rabbit hole lol! What is the grey yarn your in short supply of? One of us may have some and if I have any then I’m happy to share with you. I have just finished the squares to my Amma CAL Mosaic blanket but my daughter who has limited coordination would like me to teach her enough crochet so that she can join the squares as Amma is Icelandic for Grandmother and yes the blanket is a gift for my Mother-In-Law so it will be a gift from us both. That being said I’m trying to use up stash and that is why your wips are a good idea and I can donate them when completed. I have a few blankets that are almost finished but have been put away and now I cannot remember the stitch etc so maybe I too should concentrate on finishing one at a time 🤔 um, I know I should but I’m not really feeling it (although I could well do with the space they’re taking up)🤭😂😂 Anyway I’m off as I have a movie to find so I can watch it before reading the book 😉😉🤭. Happy crocheting from down in Vic.
Aw cheers Lesley 💝 That’s so sweet of you! Sadly, I’m one of those people that rip the labels off yarn balls and chuck them away as soon as I get them 😂 so I have no idea what brand it was. You would think that I would know better by now 🙄😂 Hopefully the change won’t be too dramatic 🤞 Wonderful to hear that your daughter is catching the ‘crochet bug’ 😊! Even better to hear that you’ll be working on a project together 💝 So sweet. I’ll have to track down the CAL and have a look 😉 I hear you on forgetting which hook goes with what 😂 I’m getting a bit better with writing it down on a bit of paper and attaching it to my projects, but man it is so annoying when you forget 😅 Hear you on the need for space too! Much love and happy hooking, reading and watching 😉 💝 xox
Thank you Terri 😘❤️! Approximate size of a panel is around 27 inches x 29 inches. I may run out of room on my living room floor for photo op’s fairly soon 😅 xox
Hi Lee..... you are absolutely amazing 🤩..... I must admit, Michelangelo stole my ❤️!!!

WOW. Everything ... just WOW. I love all your videos. WOW again.
Thank you Grace 💗! x
Absolutely love your Granny Merge blankets and that blue is beautiful 😍 I love all of your projects - thanks so much for showing!

Thank you so much Rebekah 💝 Your tutorials are fabulous and have helped me so much xox

Cheers Di ✨🥂! xox
Wow, you are an amazing crocher, the turtle blanket will look so cute , I am thinking Audrey Hepburn ? I love all your wips Lee, X
Thank you Sally 💝!
Sadly it isn’t Ms. Hepburn this time, but great guess 😉 x
