They do have fake figures and again like stated in this video the main reason I made this video is because I spoke with NECA and they said at the time if it wasn't from the store an was on aliexpress then it was fake. Any of the exclusives that were only sold through neca or sdcc on aliexpress are considered fake because they aren't directly from china. Again to eaches own.
Yea.. This isn't a fake. There's a very large mix u just need to know what to look for. And figures that go on sale before retail is impossible to be fake. Fakes aren't instantly made, it takes a while. In fact, my Ali express one looked better than my target bought one, and my target version actually had switched knees. It was weird af. Manufacturing errors are very different than knockoff errors.. I'm not saying Ali Express doesn't sell knock-offs they definitely do, but people need to look at those sales closely than just automatically saying they're fake
I'm absolutely sure all the new releases are original figures, older ones, from more than 3-4 years ago are imitations, but every single universal monsters I bought there is exactly like the "original".
It's both legit from what I can tell. NECA doesn't tell you the full story because they only can tell you what they know. Aliexpress as you would have guess is sellers from China. Keep in mind April is only a US Target timed exclusive. It's not the case in China. So they will have their stock for sale. Be it from a legit distribution source or straight from the factory. The reality is with the time frame these are being released, there is no physical way that there are bootlegs of knock offs exists. Any difference in colour or quality can be due to different production batches. Older figures, not so much. Don't want to say too much but NECA Is a company that would press factories to make things as cheap as possible, that's why there are lots of breakerage, paint chip and other QC issues. ANd often you do get a real bang for your buck. That being said, factories will find ways to make up for the loss so to speak.

NECA sells to whoever wants to buy. They can’t confirm that these are authentic because they have an agreement with Target for exclusivity in the US, so they can’t acknowledge that other companies are selling genuine figures to US customers. Bootlegs certainly exist, but not of figures that haven’t even released yet. Bootlegs are the result of reverse engineering or access to original molds, which of course, isn’t possible for a figure that JUST released. If they are using NECA molds, then it isn’t a bootleg, just an unauthorized figure, however these aren’t even that. These were purchased from NECA and sold to US customers without the permission of NECA, but very much they are both “real”.
If anyone thinks these are knock-off s just dont understand how things operate. Firstly these figures are produced in China.. secondly they are mass produced with lots not passing quality controll. These stores on Ali and other stores in China are buying these figures at mass quantities driving each piece down in price. Neca is making more money with pre orders and hyping it out here in NA.

Maybe the factory prints more than Neca told them to, and the factory sells them to Ali express. So they are not officially Neca, but there is no difference.
There is 100% fakes of the new figures lol Neca even admits it. If you watched the video the only reason I made this video is because NECA said that this was a fake lol. There's actually fake of this figure now, at least on Shopee. I decided to buy a second one to get a new camera accessory since my original one was broken, but upon receiving it her leg came off inside the box. The figure got worse QC issues with bad paint, and the box art was printed with lower quality image. I have the real one to compare to.
I have heard yes they are real but are overruns or QC fails with minor flaws. I have a few NECA AliExpress Aliens and Predator’s that look spot on. Great video.
I think Neca Sells some out the back door but they do admit that fakes are made. They have also said on Twitter that it is a problem that they are trying to handle. I dont think they will be able to stop the fakes being made.
I really don't think the Aliexpress April us a Knock Off. I think they sold you a legit April. I never buy from Aliexexpress, because their prices are too good to be true, AAAAND they always use the original manufacture advert images, so you are playing crapshoots with what you end up with. No THANKS. I will continue to get the figures I want through the official avenues.

I think they might have sold out the back door but they DID make a KO of this and the Dark Turtle. U will be considered legally blind to not notice the difference in the paints. That’s all it is tbh, the molding is Neca the parts are all from Neca but the paint is where the differences lie. Seems like the company sold off their extras material or like someone else stated, QC rejects which makes the most sense. As long as the plastic is the same I don’t really have much of an issue with it, if the plastic was cheap and fragile then yea not cool. Your life pick whichever one makes you happy ❤

This one was $35 and the Dark Turtle was like $40. The only reason I made this video is because neca said if it was on aliexpress at the time when I purchased it was a fake because it hadnt hit the stores yet. I think only one of them is a bootleg and it's my neca jungle hunter i'm sure it's fake his paint job does not look right. I've put him up on my youtube shorts. In order to make bootlegs they need the molds or the tech drawings to comission short runs in china or vietnam. Also neca employees may take test or sample products and sell them for profit. That's why theres no point in asking neca. They wouldn't know
