Hakeem Olajuwon IS THE BEST CENTER EVER!!!! He has what the other great centers lacked in their individual games he had everything!!!!!!!!!! No flaw in his game!!!!! Scoring, rebounding, passing, shooting, DEFENSIVE, ball control, moves, high iq, clutch, toughness, heart, speed, mid, high, and low post game! And can guard the whole court!! NO center in history has all this!!!!! I wish Barkley took care of his body and a had good diet he would have been even greater then he was! Imagine that!

Yea I must agree I really do think Hakeem is the best ever. Best offensive arsenal & all time shot block leader. Only player in nba history to win multiple titles on a team without a star teammate

Kareem Abdul Jabbar would like to have a word with you. Hakeem is definitely a legend and top 5 however.

@@UncleClaudeSportsandThangs I respect your opinion, my friend, but I do not agree with you. Kareem of course has a more successful career, but I think Hakeem is slightly better. Hakeem never got the help Kareem got. When comparing the quality of the players, we should not forget the rosters they played. For example, if Hakeem played in rosters similar to the rosters played by Shaq, maybe we would be comparing it to mj in the goat debate now. There was an old Drexler in the best squad he played. Before that, he made his team the champion alone without an all-star partner. His 94 and 95 championships are in the top 10 among the most difficult and valuable championships in history. Both players are definitely top 5, we all agree on that.

This is the benefit of no zone defense. Hakeem can literally just go the post every possession with no other defender shadowing or zoning him up. If they got with the committed double team, he just kicks it out to Cassell for the three, if they dont double team, he just destroys the defender one on one

@@allanhouston6759 first of all these are not even good numbers for these players, secondly theres an entire segment where 90s players who also played in zone era literally confessed how zone defense affected their scoring. Garnett, Funcqn and Mcgrady said they wanted zone elininated. Mcgrady said "its tough on all of us, when youre trying to make a move and you got another guy sittin there just waitin". Garnetg recounted "I remember phoenix sat somebodt in the lane and made it hard to penetrate. Duncan said " It makes it hard for all of us Also I quote from Michael Jordan himself saying he would never have had the career he had. Old Stockton was more effective than Prime Jason Kidd and Steve Nash- The two best ( PG ) 2000s.

      *Sam Cassell ( age 32 )=20- 4- 7, FG-46%.*

      *Chris Webber=24- 10- 3, FG-49%.*
Chris Webber was a little bette than in the 90s.
Blah, blah, blah. I can cite as an example many of the words of Nba players who said that in the 90s the Defense was bette. Words are just words. There are facts. T-Mac was better vs Zone Defense.
      *T-Mac- 2x Scoring Champion ( 2003, 2004 ).*
*Shorty 5"8 Isiah Thomas can average 29-ppg vs Zone Defense.*

Yeah, and this Suns team was really good. Whoever won this series was winning the West regardless I don't think the Sonics would've beaten either team if they had gotten that far. They had an easier path to get out the West 2 years later with the Suns no longer being contenders and the Rockets not having the depth at forward they had here.

    • @NickIntoTech
      @NickIntoTech 2 ปีที่แล้ว

@@zhawn4894 Well 1996 is a different animal. The Bulls would smash the rockets that year. but Theres few reasons for that, 1 After the 1995 Season Olajuwon Had dealt with many injuries that Began his decline. (For proof There was a Shaq Vs Hakeem PPV by Taco Bell after 95 season that would have happened but Hakeem got injured when it happened so it was canceled.) so Olajuwon began to not play as he did after this season.
2nd, After the Clyde Drexler Trade, a Weak point in the Rockets was that they lacked a good PF. Who they Had a decent one in 1994 in Robert horry. This allowed Shawn Kemp, Sonics Forward and NBA Great to Attack a weak spot on the rockets.
And If you watch the Rockets Vs Sonics Series, Alot of the Sonics Game plan was to neutralize Hakeem Often putting 3+ Defenders on him. Along with Detlef shrempf.
And they had the glove, Gary Payton They had a great post up and Decent shooter. And nba great. Vs Drexler and a half declining Hakeem.
(Also, Much like the Magic Vs Rockets Series, It might been a sweep but it was actually close series between The sonics and Rockets, Besides game 7, the games Deficits were less than 7 points. in one of the games Going into a OT)
In 97 the Rockets Ended up Getting there Revenge on Seattle, Since they Got a decent PF again in a Out of Prime Charles Barkley
