I mean, they did have restaraunts, and we never see the whole city, it's possible that there are only the automail shops we see, plus a few extra.
Sadly, in Japanese, he's called Daisotou, meaning Great President, not Führer. Whether that applies to Hitler I haven't been able to find out.
I think If there would be Prosthetics of that quality irl it could probably sustain a whole city. Especially of they export them

The Brotherhood movie is so inconsequential, I can't even find any other commenters who caught this one. It really is such an anomally. Like, it's every bit as bland and forgettable as your run-of-the-mill promotional movie, except it was literally announced with the last episode of FMA:B.

I recommend the full metal alchemist:brotherhood. It is newer and I believe it is the one that better follows the manga
Watch both. FMA 03 isn’t canon for the most part but it’s still really good and worth a shot.
@@youinanalternateuniverse The problem is that 03 and Brotherhood is a big ask for someone not committed to the show yet: Why would I want to watch "good but doesn't hold a candle to Brotherhood" 03 if Brotherhood is so much better? Missing stories and a less rushed beginning and, as you say, that 03 is actually really good as its own story.
I tend to introduce people to 03 without getting them to commit to both. Eight episodes in, they'll know if they're hooked. At that point, enjoy the ride. If when you're done you want an even bigger story, have I got it waiting for you!

I don't know how Jeff got the announcer from Korra to voice these videos, but he does great work.
I'm all in for this new series. We often forget about worldbuilding since were too invested on the overall show itself, so watching these videos make you really appreciate and learn more about the setting the anime takes place in. Only issue is that not all anime have such solid worlds where you can explore too deep, but I feel like we can cross that bridge when we get there.

I really think visiting Amestris during the Promised Day of the eclipse will bring us all closer to God.
This was fantastic, I'd love to see a post-Eclipse version, Mustang trying to drum tourism to help the country recover. "We promise that we are not trying to steal your soul this time, only your money!"
One Piece would be neat to do like this but it's way too big, even going by Arc would be a massive undertaking. Maybe Pokemon if you seperate them by Region? Seireitei/Soul Society of Bleach should be doable as well. And, just to make sure you never escape from this franchise, the Aincrad Tourism Board, headed by Kayaba Akihiko, would like to commission you for a video promotion of Castle Aincrad's popular tourist areas. I would say Wano would be great for one of these videos, but they're a bit too heavily isolationist for that to be a possibility. Now Alabasta or Water 7, that could work.

Critique of Anime at an academic level is still fascinating. But I will always enjoy these tounge-in-cheek old VHS-style videos. They're funny ^_^

I actually found your channel through the public service series, the magical girl one specifically. I occasionally go back to one or two for a good laugh, and I would love to see more of these travelogues and one for Morioh, Japan in particular. They have this little Italian restaurant that I swear will make you feel like a completely new person after your meal is finished, and the people are so friendly that children will just run up to strangers in the street and challenge them to a rousing game of Rock, Paper, Scissors.
