Leorio punching that deadbeat in front of his peers is honestly one of my favorite moments in anime lol
Possibly the most cathartic punch I've ever seen!
His nen ability was created because of his desire of being a doctor and being able to operate on people without cutting them up specially for delicate operational procedures.

Everybody hates Gin because he hasn't visited Gon. However, that's just an assumption since we didn't see Gin visit Gon in the anime. What if Gin already visited Gon? Remember, he came earlier than the other zodiacs for the meeting. What if he came early because he went to visit Gon? That's why he can confidently tell Pariston that Gon will not die
Ging say nothing wrong, it's just look like no tacts. But to him, he knew that Gon would never wanted Ging to visit him, because that would destroy the whole thing Gon did instantly.
Talking to Gon who pretty much in coma isn't gonna help. It's logically correct.
But sure, Leorio is really sweet, I loved him so much, but just if you took what Ging said seriously, he didn't wrong at all.

Just because Ging does not fit the mental idealization of what people perceive as the 'father figure', does not make him an asshole ....well, it does for you, but that's just a limited perception of it. He adds quite the adequate dynamic within his relationship with Gon, which you may think is non-existent, but it's intriguingly present in its perceived absence. As for his attitude specifically regarding the hospital visit, it will elaborate a bit in the future.
I mean he is objectively a shit father... like you can't argue against that.
