I remember when my wife got annoyed when I went out to DJ. I was always pretty close to home, but she still preferred me to be at home. I can't imagine what it was like for Jill, John's wife, when John went on national and international tours. Or for John, when she started getting annoyed with him, because he was going away again. 🙄

Beautiful song, sung amazingly so well, as you said singing live if you mess up theres no way to hide it, he did miss his lines but soldiered on.. hes a living legend and Aussie icon

Wait until Artificial Intelligence takes over. We won't even have live performers! 😡 There will be holograms on stage. Of course it might be able to mimic performers and their voices that we've lost but that just isn't the same as a real person we can connect to is it? It's a shame that artists from other countries sometimes don't get recognition elsewhere. There are many terrific artists from the UK, Australia, Canada and other countries who never get heard in places like the US where international fame and $$$ is to be had. I appreciate artists who, as you said "earn their stripes" through hard work, creativity and talent.
Pretty song, great guitar, but Barry Gibb has a better voice. Nowadays they lip sync to their albums because they don't sound anywhere near as good as their recording because of autotune, and some can't really sing at all the record companies just like the way they look and dance.

Both Barry and John are living legends and both would highly respect each other's talents. John is my personal preference because he is so versatile and his tone and his stage presence are so incredible. RIP Andy, Maurice & Robin Gibb. Always loved. ❤❤

I disagree, Barry has a good voice but nowhere near as good as John's...his range is so much better and varied and he does not have autotune !!!!!
