How to Make a Picture Frame Jig | DIY Table Saw Miter Sled

This time I built a table saw picture frame jig - table saw miter sled.

In this video I am showing how to make a picture frame jig to make perfect mitered corners for pictures and frames. Once you set the stop bock in position you can make repetitive cuts that will be always the same. You can easily cut the short sides as well as the long sides of the frames. When it comes to measuring picture frames, it's not about the inside or outside length of the frame - it’s about the rabbet. Setting the jig based on the picture frame rabbet will help you make precise cuts to fit your picture snugly into the frame.

You don't really need the second leg of the jig, for the first cut just put the wood being cut to the opposite side of the leg with the clamp!

Hi, Merry Christmas, Just a question. So you miter cut the wood then cut the rabbet?

Thank you for the wishes :) You can cut the rabbet before you miter the wood strips. And you can place the rabbet on the frames of the jig to lock it down.
