I just wished the overall story was a bit better. I expected there be at least more than just high school. Like where do all them live and stay in. To be honest i would like it if they went with some these author's crossover already. I mean Overlord and The Saga of Tanya the Evil already had a light novel crossover. Konosuba and ReZero also. All of the authors of these properties are clos friends in real life.

Gate also downplays magic both in use and potential only so that Guns can work against it. To the point where dragons which are usully know to be as smart as humans, fail to use their intelligence to nullify the JSDF tactics and weapons. The problem comes from the fact that these controlled elemets pretty much inexist in any of the main series presented in Isekai Quartet, Gate characters simply wouldn't work well in the mix. They would all be as useful as Subaru. Except that the fact that SUbaru is useless, is pretty much his reason to exist, while Gate characters would be useless because unlike in Gate, Magic works properly elsewhere.
i want the Shield hero to be included. also when it comes to budget they may have some room to play since most series already had their chibi shorts and looks almost as if they are just re using those assets on the series. an actual animated 24 min anime might be hard cause despite being anime each show has it's own art style and it might blend well in chibi style but in their original one... who knows.
About budget, don't forget voice actors. The VA cast in this season alone already consists lots of famous ones who aren't cheap to hire. Adding more series means even more VA cost. We can only hope this season earns enough money for them to hire more VA.
Hopefully, they add more minutes to the watch time for season 2. It was already rushed with only 4 series, imagine trying to cram 5-6 shows into less than 10 minutes?
I mean, it's just a parody of these isekai animes. 12 minutes is alright for me, as extending the plot will make it not only harder as you don't want the viewer to be bored by nonsense, it would cost more and will then be longer to be released.
I don't think plot is too necessary since it's only a parody anime, and you can see that there's no relation at all between them, but only transfered from their own isekai. It'd be hard to make a plot like usual anime and it would also be hard to keep the fun alive with long plot that doesn't get too boring. This doesn't have any LN source or anything, it's just pure written script like some drama stuff so yeah, it'd be hard to make a plot, but i do enjoy if they make a plot and still keep it fun at the same time.
I'm thinking there is a lock for Shield Hero and Slime entering the class, potential for NGNL. Shield Hero: Naofumi, Raph, Filo, Melty Slime: Rimuru, Ranga, Milim, Benimaru, likely etc.
Well if season 2 comes out in the fall I doubt it since Sword Art Online Alicization War of Underworld has got another 50-ish episodes and Matsuoka Yoshitsugu also has Shokugeki no Soma season 4 to work on. Or if schedules can fit maybe it could work? SAO did have crossovers with Accel World and The Irregular at Magic High School. Maybe they could use the chibis from Sword Art Offline.
I wish in the next season they'll have a "school fair" event (a popular event in Japanese school which every class has to set up a shop and sell something). Imagine how their shop would look like and what kind of stuff they would sell. I imagine Re: Zero crew would try to sell food but fail because Emilia mistaken salt from sugar again. Overlord crew try to sell "Bipedal sheep's skin" or other horrific stuff. Many possible opportunities here. As for the new isekai added, although unlikely, I really wish "Dog Days" can get more recognition. It's lighthearted, fitting the tone of Isekai Quartet. It's popular enough to have 3 seasons of anime. And, if I'm not mistaken, it was owned by the same company Kadokawa as well.
The next quartet I would want to be in season 2 are Shield Hero Log Horizon No game no life And maybe wiseman's grandson or something else that kadokawa own?

Slime's definitely in. The series (especially light novel and manga) is extremely popular in Japan. Slime is the best-selling LN in Japan for the first half of 2019. And that with over 100k sold units per volume. Which is quite rare. Most LNs don't even sell more than 50k. So it's ahead of Konosuba, Overlord, Re:Zero etc. The Manga is on place 7 and that among giants like One Piece. And there is nothing to stop several publishers working together. Especially if it benefits both. And that would be the case here ;)
Well I would not bet on Kadokawa doing Marketing for a sucessfull product of their rival.Besides I don't get why Slime is rated so high. In my book it had a strong beginning and then it became a random overpowered Mc getting a harem.

And who knows which deals are running in the background. Kodansha (Slime) may be paying a large share of Isekai Quartet season 2 to promote Slime season 2. Who knows? And the only thing they get is additional Slime merch, the promotion of season 2 and Slime in general. What would Kadokawa get? A second season of IQ, which might be mostly funded by Kodansha (= low risk), new own characters and their merch, further promotion of Konosuba, Re:Zero, Overlord and Tanya etc. Actually a win-win situation for both with advantage for Kadokawa. *sigh* The curse of a bad anime adaption... Yes, the second half of Slime (after Milim) wasn't very good. A lot was left out. But it's just the anime, not the story itself. The light novel is much better and makes way more sense. And no, Rimuru isn't OP... you only get the impression in the anime. He is just a small fish in the pond. Most of the time he only met fooder characters. And the few who were stronger were not recognized in any way. The clowns, for example, could wipe the floor with Rimuru. Not to mention the other Demon Lords, against whom Rimuru would hardly have a chance, for now.

What's good about season 2 is that the connections are all there already, and they don't have to spend as much exposition to get everything running. They can just go right into it.

I watched every series that was part of the show and enjoyed them. This was definitely one of my favorites of the season and there's a good selection of characters to add that are a part of Kadokawa corp. I wonder how many pantsu Kazuma was able to steal in this episode?

Re:Zero however is published by Media Factory, who also published The Rising of the Shield Hero (That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime is by Yen Press, Novel and Kodansha, manga.). Media Factory also have the publishing rights to No Game No Life. So if I were to guess, we'll see Shield Hero and No Game No Life

The Isekai Quartet "Mains" remain as Ainz, Kazuma, Subaru & Tenya and their respective crews. Making it a "quartet". Though they're obviously adding more. 2. There are 4 special objects that are meant for the 4 main characters. A quartet of objects.

One thing that I wanted to see in Isekai Quartet (which could still happen in the second season) but I kinda wanted to see Kazuma, Subaru, and Tanya learn that Ainz is from the future. Tanya might already know based on their conversation in episode 4 but I kinda wanted to see how Kazuma and Subaru would react. Cause all I can imagine is a scene like in Reincarnated as a Slime where Ainz is baraged with questions about games and anime from the future.

Adding no game no life could help bring that final pushed to give it a season 2. Plus it would be so cool to see the characters interact with isekai quartet characters. However, I feel adding more characters to isekai quartet will make the show feel even more fragmented. I feel like way too many characters got barely any screen time. The biggest main problem I want fixed is just extra character interaction.

I wish in the next season they'll have a "school fair" event (a popular event in Japanese school which every class has to set up a shop and sell something). Imagine how their shop would look like and what kind of stuff they would sell.
I imagine Re: Zero crew would try to sell food but fail because Emilia mistaken salt from sugar again. Overlord crew try to sell "Bipedal sheep's skin" or other horrific stuff. Many possible opportunities here.
As for the new isekai added, although unlikely, I really wish "Dog Days" can get more recognition. It's lighthearted, fitting the tone of Isekai Quartet. It's popular enough to have 3 seasons of anime. And, if I'm not mistaken, it was owned by the same company Kadokawa as well.

In season 2
Slime's definitely in. The series (especially light novel and manga) is extremely popular in Japan. Slime is the best-selling LN in Japan for the first half of 2019. And that with over 100k sold units per volume. Which is quite rare. Most LNs don't even sell more than 50k. So it's ahead of Konosuba, Overlord, Re:Zero etc. The Manga is on place 7 and that among giants like One Piece.
And there is nothing to stop several publishers working together. Especially if it benefits both. And that would be the case here ;)
Well I would not bet on Kadokawa doing Marketing for a sucessfull product of their rival.Besides I don't get why Slime is rated so high. In my book it had a strong beginning and then it became a random overpowered Mc getting a harem.

It's all about the money, after all. And if Kadokawa profits from it... they would be damned if they didn't play along.
Isekai Quartet season 1 was obviously so successful that there will be a second season. Successful means: More merch that will be sold. Kadokawa wants to keep this up if possible. And expand it further, with additional characters (e.g.: shield hero).
If they have to promote another series from a competing publisher to reach their goal, so what? And who knows which deals are running in the background. Kodansha (Slime) may be paying a large share of Isekai Quartet season 2 to promote Slime season 2. Who knows? And the only thing they get is additional Slime merch, the promotion of season 2 and Slime in general. What would Kadokawa get? A second season of IQ, which might be mostly funded by Kodansha (= low risk), new own characters and their merch, further promotion of Konosuba, Re:Zero, Overlord and Tanya etc. Actually a win-win situation for both with advantage for Kadokawa.

Yes, the second half of Slime (after Milim) wasn't very good. A lot was left out. But it's just the anime, not the story itself. The light novel is much better and makes way more sense. And no, Rimuru isn't OP... you only get the impression in the anime. He is just a small fish in the pond. Most of the time he only met fooder characters. And the few who were stronger were not recognized in any way. The clowns, for example, could wipe the floor with Rimuru. Not to mention the other Demon Lords, against whom Rimuru would hardly have a chance, for now.
It would be cool if we got Sora and Shiro in the next season.

I watched every series that was part of the show and enjoyed them. This was definitely one of my favorites of the season and there's a good selection of characters to add that are a part of Kadokawa corp. I wonder how many pantsu Kazuma was able to steal in this episode?

Overlord, KonoSuba and The Saga of Tanya the Evil are all published by Kadokawa Shoten, Kadokawa also published the .Hack series, but that's the only other "isekai" series I see under their brand.
Re:Zero however is published by Media Factory, who also published The Rising of the Shield Hero (That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime is by Yen Press, Novel and Kodansha, manga.).
Media Factory also have the publishing rights to No Game No Life.
So if I were to guess, we'll see Shield Hero and No Game No Life
I never say problem with others series coming.
However speculation if wanted it to be thematic heres some idea's:
1. The Isekai Quartet "Mains" remain as Ainz, Kazuma, Subaru & Tenya and their respective crews. Making it a "quartet". Though they're obviously adding more.
2. There are 4 special objects that are meant for the 4 main characters. A quartet of objects.
*WHY SHIELD HERO SHOULD BE ADDED*
Naofumi and Subaru would get along.
Ainz would look like a wave boss to Naofumi, so he’ll try to fight him to get home.
Kazuma and his crew would remind Naofumi of the other 3 heroes.

In what world would Subaru and Naofumi get along? Subaru would have believed "Bitch's" accusations without a second thought. They are literally polar opposites. Subaru is a #Listen&Believe white knight while Naofumi is a based, red-pill dude who got Red-Pilled the HARD way.
Joel Gawne have you watched re:zero? The whole royal knights were against Subaru and he went off on them in front of everyone even Emilia, Naofumi also did the same thing when they took Ralphtia from him. Problems with royalty in general.
One thing you forgot to mention was that the episode length needs to be extended!

I loved this series and can't wait for season 2
One thing that I wanted to see in Isekai Quartet (which could still happen in the second season) but I kinda wanted to see Kazuma, Subaru, and Tanya learn that Ainz is from the future.
Tanya might already know based on their conversation in episode 4 but I kinda wanted to see how Kazuma and Subaru would react. Cause all I can imagine is a scene like in Reincarnated as a Slime where Ainz is baraged with questions about games and anime from the future.

i think one of the transfer students are this manga. Mushoku Tensei - Isekai Ittara Honki Dasu. i read the manga and its make a adaptation of anime and i see a Re:Zero at that manga ads

Adding no game no life could help bring that final pushed to give it a season 2. Plus it would be so cool to see the characters interact with isekai quartet characters.
However, I feel adding more characters to isekai quartet will make the show feel even more fragmented. I feel like way too many characters got barely any screen time. The biggest main problem I want fixed is just extra character interaction.
I think NGNL will join the squad..
