You do everything with such good taste! I love the idea of the portholes in the interior doors! :-)

Do agree, the portholes are best with the patina and what would be the point of them looking brand spanking new? Like the fact that they will be an anchorage to the history, and that their history will continue in your barge. It's so nice that you are back! Have a nice week.

Hi from Australia. I do a bit of house renovation work and we use a 'cheap' inspection camera (about $350). We drill a fine (3/8") hole, slide the wand in and look under floors or in wall cavities to assess condition (guests, rot, pipe and wire paths) then plug the hole. You could leave a hole in the bottom of cabinets, etc and have a look whenever you needed to. Just a thought. Anyway, take care in your 'lovely' UK summer. Cheers, MarkC

Thanks for the idea! I actually did use a small camera to look under the floors originally and it worked well! The hatches are for visual inspection and also to remove any water that might have got into the bilges too.

You can always do as little or more as you fell the need. Skip a while an dthey will go back as with any bad haircut. Walt Duba PS Great too see you back but keep it at your own pace.

Those portholes, they're lil ones. Didn't realise till you put your hand there as a gauge. Nice tho 💚
