I am devastated over the loss of Andrea Evans today. You don’t understand, my love of soaps is because of this woman. Back in the day, there was NO diva more fierce in daytime then Andrea to the Evans! I was OBSESSED with Tina Lord Roberts. She made #onelifetolive what it was. One of the best things (and there were many) about this show during this time was the ensemble and the very rich history between characters, and the fact that the same actors had played these roles for many years. This was the moment I started back watching after about an unfortunate 1-1/2 year hiatus from the show and during one of its most dynamic periods. But I was sure glad to come back to watch Tina come back from the dead!
After the passing of Andrea I had to come watch this scene again, I remember watching this in real time and how dramatic it was “Tina” fainting at Cord’s wedding was ICONIC. I LOVED Andrea Evans R.I.P Queen

I just want to say that I appreciate all the murmuring and chattering from the guest. In this day and age of soaps, everyone just stands around in utter silence as the recently returned from the dead explains what or how they got there. (Jack returned to day on dool, which made me seek out something classic and amazing from oltl.)
I love how Tina interrupts the wedding and everyone is more concerned about HER. lol! This was such a great moment because Tina couldn't be accused of pulling a stunt because they saw her go over the falls. It just doesn't get any better than this, period.
This was the last high point (or year of the show). For me OLTL kinda went down after this period - especially when the character of Kate left (and the character of Bo came back).
Me too I miss the days of mostly soaps and game shows. I think in my opinion why most soaps got cancelled is stupid talk shows are cheaper to produce. I think with more cable channels and more women in the workforce over the years ratings aren't as high . I could be wrong though. it's hard to believe there is only four soaps on daytime network tv Y&R B&B, Days and General Hospital.
The week this aired ONE LIFE to LIVE finished #2 in the daytime Nielsen the week of may 1 1 1986 to the best of my memory GH7.4 OLTL7.3 YR AMC and Days rounded out the daytime top5 Nielsen .....
I thought they gave Dorian such a hideous, Betty Rubble, outfit because she was leaving the show, but then I saw Mari Lynn's dress and i was like what did SHE do to get the wardrobe department's wrath???!!
I'm surprised Clint could carry Tina like that at 49 years old. I thought Clint would be too drunk and be off balance while carrying Tina and drop her. I used to think about carrying Tina over a threshold but I knew I was not strong enough because I tested my strength trying to lift 125 LBS of concrete blocks and I just knew I would not be able to do it. You can tell Clint carried a few girls in his time because he did it the proper way without letting us see what we wanted to see if you know what I mean.
Such a moving performance from John Loprino when he's holding the baby. Always love the scenes where Dorian has to be a doctor. I see that Wanda has the lines they gave Renee later on. Oh Asa! You stop that now, Asa! Poor Pamela seems to be dressed in her bathrobe. If you listen to her and don't watch the screen you might think it's Nora. Who was that blonde guy in the wedding party who made eyes at Kate earlier? Is that the first Patrick London?

(The actor himself considered his work with Marcia Cross to be one of his highlights. Loved Marcia Cross as Kate Sanders!! I was so sad when she left the show early. (Left with boring Tina . . . stupid stuff over and over again).
I Hated Kate TOO! She was after Cord from the moment she saw him. I did Love Max, he was the only person that mourned Tina during that time and accepted her for who she was not who he wanted her to be. Cord won me over again but I was mad at him for a long time.
I can't remember. Who else besides Max "mourned" Tina when she was presumed dead. Vicki was in the coma("heaven") when Ti a went over the falls if I recall.

I took wood shop and metal shop in high school. If I made you a fake award would that change anything? What if I called it the TINA AWARD? You would have the one-and-only TINA award so it would be extra special. Please let me know because I could start on it right away. There are so many great videos on youtube that shows how to make stuff. I know I could make you a TINA award if you want me to. We have an engraving shop in town and I already checked with them and they said they can make any type of custom engraved plaque I want.
