  • My friend asked me what I thought on these two amps. So I borrowed a cube and here is a quick run through of them side by side.

    Thanks man! I apreciated the simplicity and honesty. Might buy the ac 33, as I like to sing along with my eletroacoustic. Hello from Brazil.

    AC is series is the cleanest guitar/vocal amp I’ve played. It’s very simple tho. Neither is great with distortion. I prefer the AC then use a simple multi fx pedal in front.

    I forgot to mention that the ac33 reproduces the vocals more naturally when a mic is connected!

    Hello! Have you ever played an electric guitar with drive on AC33? If so, did the results please you? Do you think this amp is versatile enough to play with electric guitars as well? Thanks in advance.

    • @CrYptOG
      @CrYptOG  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes Juliano. It works very well....although it depends also on which guitar and overdrive pedal you choose. Always going to be limited with the output volume though!

      Hi Kevin, glad you are happy with the AC33. It is a nice piece of kit!
      It would depend on what sort of recording are you planning on doing? ...and how much of a budget you have!! You can Line out (DI) from the back of the amp straight into a second amp.....or your recording hardware. I use a MBox2 with an old version of ProTools for a more professional mix.....but you could get a USB mic and record into something like Audacity which wouldn’t break the bank and start you on the road to recording. But if you are really serious about your music ProTools with a Mac (would need some hardware to connect!) is I believe the way forward. However, if you are recording live performance. A good quality video cam recorder (check the mic quality!) will do you well.......the mic in iPhone/iPad are about the best quality I have heard in the mobile Smart world.
      It really does depend on what your recording goal is and how much you are willing to throw at it...00)

    Hello. Which one is louder? I know that 33 has more watts, does this affect the sound ?

    • @CrYptOG

      If you purely want volume then go for the Street Cube.

      Without doubt you want the Ac33 or perhaps look at AER amps if your budget allows. G

    Would you say the ac33 is loud enough for playing outside?

    • @CrYptOG
      @CrYptOG  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes but obviously it depends on how noisy/busy that particular outside environment is. I use mine for busking on the seafront promenade and it is sufficiently loud.

    Hi, I wonder how to connect headphones with ac33. Which cable I need?

    • @CrYptOG
      @CrYptOG  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Monika Monika Hi ...there is a Headphone socket on the top of the unit next to the power switch! It is for a 1/4” (6.35mm) jack which is pretty standard for a set of proper over ear headphones. Otherwise you can get adapters for an 1/8”(3.5mm) earphone.
      Just type in Jack Adapter to Google!

    • @CrYptOG
      @CrYptOG  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Probably because I was using it to create the loop laddie. Nonetheless, you should be able to make out the differences. Try using headphones your end!

    I appreciate the effort and time put in, but I couldn't keep up with the way you were switching back and forth between amps....😁. I guess we all see things differently. I could have got a better understanding if you'd just done say 5 minutes with the Cube, then 5 with the AC33.

    No need for a comparison, I can tell you all right now, the ac 33 is very warm in the bass, the street cube is very tinny, not a great amp for acoustic guitar, better for electric. If you play acoustic and sing, get the ac 33. Just place a compressor before the amp as it cuts out sometimes when you strum the bass notes too hard!

    • @CrYptOG
      @CrYptOG  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Bobby Bongo Thanks for that Bongo Bob. I agree, however some people like to hear the difference for themselves.
