Some words and actions scar forever - once it's done, it's done. Her mother attempted to ruin the wedding, but she failed. What remains is a permanently damaged relationship and grandkids her mother will never have the opportunity to enjoy. It's mom that will pay the price. I'm so glad daddy came.

To disown your child over the time of day a wedding???? That mother will regret it. When her only daughter has kids and she never sees them. I have seen fights over things like who marrying or what church or but a start time??? Hope that old cow is alone and miserable for eternity. Thank god not only for Jane being fill in mom but Jamal's family. They have truly stepped up to welcome and support her. Her dad showing up though was everything. Now thats a dad. Setting aside your wife's bitterness to be there for your child. He will hopefully continue and kids have grandpa.

You can do a grocery store cake for a wedding. Just buy about 3 or 4 and give them to someone with a little bit of decorating knowledge. Very cheap to make them pretty and no one will have any idea. I have seen it done, especially when the preordered cake got damaged
