Disclaimer:
There may be multiple other methods of doing the trick. This is just how I do it.
Values used in graphics are my own opinion on the trick's difficulty.
Overall Difficulty: How difficult the trick is in general. Larger = More difficult.
Execution: How difficult the trick is to execute (Hard key presses, strict frame perfect inputs, etc.) Larger = More difficult execution.
Learnability: How difficult the trick is to learn. Larger = more experience needed to understand and learn the trick.
Timesave: How much time the trick saves to playing the mission regularly. Larger = More time save.
Inconsistency: How consistent the trick is to land. RNG, abnormal precision, other unexpected values. Larger = Less consistent.

Bro thank you so much!!!! I tried for about 2 hours losing my mind, but following the precise instructions finally got me there only about 5 more tries after watching this!!! Speedrunning is hard, man. Lol.
Still works as of 3/8/24 - but should forever work because these tricks have been ingrained into the game and community for years now 😎

@@JyFK_ Believe me, I struggled a lot too. It is possible though. I was going for 100% for a while but lost motivation when I kept thinking about about all the 3 hour speedruns and LASO's. Lol. Speedrunning is hard as hell, but if you keep trying, eventually you will get it!
Did it as of March 31st 2024. When the banshee rammed the wall I ran back in forth between the door ends and it worked, though it took about 20 min to get it to work.

Hey, it is a really cool skip, and thanks to your tutorial I got it working rather quick, the problem is that I have a door later in the Level that doesn’t open, it is close to the end
You have to jump across to the other bridge section on your right. (There are two bridges, you’re already on one of them).
Or:
Go to the bottom of the mountain and get a banshee and fly to the bridge) and there will be a green door there for you to enter👍

I struggled with this for so long, watched so many videos, after watching yours I got it first try.
Best I can do is get the Banshee stuck above the door but the elite won't jump out. 😢

It took me about 10 min of trying to get this. My biggest tip is make sure ur centered on that line and if you are having trouble where banshee is u-turning or coming in too high and not getting stuck then you are crouching too early

atleast i could abuse the save/quit system so my par time will bee very good
FOV can affect how you do it, I tried with high fov got it once after trying over and over but putting fov to default had me doing it 3 out of 5 times
What fov are you using? I've tried to do this for over an hour and I can't get it to work at all
I use 86 FOV. If you're struggling, try posting a video of your attempts and I can help!

Does this trick only work on legendary or can it be done on heroic too?
It works on both Heroic and Legendary difficulties. It does not work on Easy or Normal since the Banshee doesn't spawn in.
I can't seem to get this to work?
I did it but then got into the turret on accident and died ...
Best guide I’ve seen at explaining it but I just can’t seem to get the elite to jump out he gets stuck or will fly to the right of the door after attacking me! Any ideas what I’m doing wrong ?

I think it’s patched.
I tried the pelican glitch and I think they moved it a bit further. Only way so far is the bridge drop(I’m on pc)
@@Z32rbsouza I did it the other day after 10000 tries. You literally have to be in the EXACT spot he was.
For some reason I found this easier on Halo anniversary versus MCC
Such random. I spent 5 minutes and many tries to do this, Banshee flyes like in video, but elite refuses to leave the Banshee, instead he go down and smash me with his Banshee. Very hard to do that trick. Only harder trick in SE is only a two betrayals Banshee skip.

im not sure what im doing wrong on this, Im following it to the T and he just stalls underneath the top of the door
It's hard to tell without video, but you might be doing it a bit slow with your movement under the door. It's either that or bad positioning for your walk path.

I’ve tried this for a hour and negative score of 20000. I’ve found out that when ever your close. The elite won’t ever eject ever. I’ve not seen it eject yet.ive done everything right and quadrupled checked. I don’t think this really works.

Depsite check point reloads and restarts the banshee never crosses that part of the canyon where you have to crouch. Sometimes i can get him to fly into the wall but never ejects
Been at it for over an hour and nothing I do will get it to work
It can be pretty difficult if you're not used to it. If you're doing other things such as shooting, moving, throwing grenades, and other things during the banshee's pathing it will affect it, so you need to make sure you follow the guide word for word. It would also help if you have a video to see where you're going wrong.

It still works on current patch. It is slightly precise for the timing and movement.

It does work on both the Heroic and Legendary difficulties. The banshee does not appear on the Easy or Normal difficulties.
That banshee trick has long been patched. It’s complete luck

Not true I just got in! Took me about 30 minutes and I followed his FOV which was like 88
UTTERLY IMPOSSIBLE. I REGRET NOTHING. HALO IS UTTERLY DEAD.
Don't waste your time they patched it
It isn't patched. There is only one specific patch of the game where this trick doesn't work, and it was a few patches ago. The current version of the game should work fine.
