How to: Box braids on doll hair (with extensions!)

- Hey everybody!
Today I'll show you how to do box braids on your dolls hair! I love using this style to give my dolls longer hair using kanekelon hair extensions!
The doll I used in this video is my Ginger Breadhouse reroot from Ever After High. The style is very versatile and can be used on any type of doll, like Monster High, Bratz, Boxie Girls, Barbie, Disney Dolls and more!
The hair that I used was red hair from a local beauty supply store.

Ginger is so gorgeous! Its ok her scalp wasn't painted. Thank You for sharing with us. For the doll rerooting tool is only sold on line. I see some people made their own. And some use needles but l don't know what size needle.
Lena Smith I made my own too! You can find it in my rerooting turorial. You definitely don't want the needle to be too wide, that might rip the holes!

Ondra Zolotar at a local beauty supply store, but you can also get it from Aliexpress.com! It's quite inexpensive :)

Yeah, I find that it looks best when the extension hair matches the original hair the doll has :)
And when I found that red tube of hair gel, I knew I had to use it!! Looks so cool together haha

It's okay if you forgot to paint ginger Ginger's scalp. I didn't even think that you can do that with some reroots. 😅
Haha to be honest I never really do that, because I usually stick with the original haircolor of the dolls. I have seen other people do it though, so I guess it's possible? I would personally be scared for the paint to get chipped and ruin the hair?
