In my humble opinion he’s the greatest juju musician In terms of musical arrangements an all rounder composer and arranger but Obey and KSA edged him to third place based on their body of work they did more albums and more hits than the admirals. In other interviews he said he had 80 albums. I salute a living legend🙏🏿

The interviewer is a tremendous credit to this channel. His respect for his guest, his decorum, humility, level-headedness and depth of questioning are joys to behold. He is a credit to the organisation behind him. Well done to you all. But you ought to have asked Admiral about his kids and / or any anointed successor to his brand of Juju. Producer, thanks for your work, but one vital word is missing from this interview. No question was asked regarding the relationship between Admiral and Pick peters despite the fact that Admiral popularity reached it's height at the time both of them were assumed to be at loggerheads.

This interview is not complete without mentioning the rival between him and Emperor Pick Peters (Omo Ode).
I disagree. Side stepping that old and delicate issue was a smart move by Nigbati; as other media people have already tackled that issue with both of them. No need to keep digging up the dirt of 40 years ago. The only shortcoming was not asking Admiral about his kids or an anointed successor to his brand of Juju music.

I totally disagree with Nigbatitv on this if u asked Emperor Pick Peters about the feud between them back in those days and he responded we should also hear Adawa Super side of the story..
@@ultimateone It could have been the pre- interview grand rule that Adawa insisted that he wouldn’t want the interview to torch on the old feud. From historical records Adawa like his old mentor, KSA have always felt reluctant to revisit the bitter feud of the seventies and the eighties unlike the other guy; Omode
I was born in the laye 60s, grew up listening to Dele Abiodun but the atokun failed to realize that Dale isn't Yoruba. I give everything to him.
Per our off-camera discussion, contrary to public opinion, he sad, he is from a town along the border that is inhabited by Binis and Yorubas.
He did say that he was from Edo but was born and raised in Ijebu Ode.
Isobe,Ido-Ani, Afo , Imeri are towns with roots in both Yoruba & Edo. Same goes for other Akoko-Edo and Afemai settlements
You did not ask pertinent questions and at times you stopped him from talking about controversial issues

For all objective listeners, many lessons were learnt throughout the interview session. For anyone to consider it boring, our elders at home could be contacted for their honest opinions and they are unlikely to belong to that school of thought. Ejire, the journalist, has performed excellently again: he demonstrated what makes a good presenter and interviewer. Please keep it up.
