Knitted Beanies using I love This Yarn Print from Hobby Lobby

- Hi, I was on knitting beanie marathon or binge knitting last week and I knitted all these beanie within 1 week (except the Dakota colorway which I knit last year). I bought all these yarn last year and some 2 years ago and finally decided to knit every skein of the print/variegated yarn.

Oh my goodness! Where have you been all this time! I crochet and I learned how to knit last September of 2019. I've only been knitting beanies (not good at it but I try). I searched on TH-cam the I Love This Yarn and this came up. I've always been afraid to use this type of yarn because I'm afraid that it wouldn't look good on a crochet project. But now that I have learned how to knit a beanie, I see that these yarns come out beautifully. Thank you soooo much for sharing this. They are actually all my favorites. I guess I'm going to need to go to Hobby Lobby today. I made a list of all the colors you showed. Again, thank you.
The price difference is probably because of the color difference. People are most likely to buy neutrals compared to custom colors that only certain people would like.

That yarn is great to use but it is now about $4.99 a skein so I don't use it very often. They just raised the price on most of their yarns and if you look carefully you might still find a 3.99 skein mixed in with the 4.99. Your hats are wonderful!!
Hi Jenny, love all the yarn and how it turned out knitted. The hats are gorgeous and I think socks knitted from this yarn would also be gorgeous. We can't get that yarn here. As for the Nova Scotian sky you said it right, but I live in Nova Scotia Canada and our sky is not that pretty.....lol I love the hats. How many stitches did you use for the beanies?

Yesterday I spent 2 hours in front of this section trying to figure out how the colors would stripe and ended up buying 5 different types to test! Tried 2 different crochet patterns and didn’t like either one very much! Guess I’ll try knitting hats (I’m so much slower at knitting!) Thanks for doing this, it will save me some time :)

My favorite is the blue one.... I'm willing to learn how to knit, and recently I bought some needless in clearance at my local shop, for just 25 cents each!!!! You can imagine, I bought 9 sizes, from 0 to 10. The only one that I didn't get was size 2..... I'm anxious to begin!!!

Hobby lobby raised their yarn price. Once in a while if I find skeins with their old price 3.99 skein, I’ll buy all of them. Lol Either with the 40% off coupon or the 30% all yarn deal
I appreciate this SO much! Though I've used I Love This Yarn, I've only ever used the solids. I had no idea that the 'print' created that striping and fair isle effect. I'm so happy to learn this, as I love using their yarn.
Oh, and yes, Hobby Lobby did recently increase the price of their yarn. 😕

LovinglyNie Yes, and the 40% off one regularly priced item coupons are great for those off weeks when the yarn isn't on sale, and you only need to grab one of something. On those weeks, I print a coupon from their website, then drag my husband along with me to pay for one skein of yarn using the printed coupon, and I pay separately for a second one using the Hobby Lobby app coupon from my phone.👍🏻
I have always wondered what the colors looked like knit up thanks for taking the time to do that for everyone.❤ it looks like the ones running a little higher has that stone wash effect. The regular colors seem to stay at the lower price.
Great video showing all the colorways! I love the Dakota yarn and all the beanies. Hobby Lobby has raised their prices, from 3.99 to 4.99. Still well worth it, especially with the 30% off every other week :-)

So glad I found this while looking for ideas/patterns for "I love this yarn" which I purchased a few years ago for $1 per skein..couldn't get more than 1 till 2 skeins per color.. so Thank you Jenny for the great presentation and beanie idea! Flott arbeid👍
I love them all, but Natural Stripe and Nova Scotian Sky are my favorites. I wish I could knit. I love to crochet, but could never get a hang of knitting.

No pattern. Just basic 2x2 ribbing and knit the body. 0-3 months cast on 44 sts
