Hihi Naomi! I really love your art work! As someone who draws exclusively with mechanical pencils this is such an eye opener. I also love your bold and dramatic art style. I'm slowly getting there, but for now my art style is what I call semi realistic😂
🍌 I do the same thing but with color pencils and I think gonna use your technique too😁btw I love your art and art style, you really help me to draw anatomy SOOOO MUCH better and I love what you're doing, I love you and your the best so keep doing what you're doing☺️👍😊❤️💕💜
Nice 🍌 can't help but notice you're handling your pen in a hard writing position, which is not bad in itself and makes sense with your "multiple small line" type of drawing. However, you could try to use a softer hand position for the more bubbly characters and softer textures. That said, this multiple stroke for one line is how I learned how to draw initially. I still use it in my sketches, but my profs always said it gives away that you're not sure about your lines and ellipses. Additionally, it consumes much more time for a sketch if you're planning to add color and light, which are arguably going to be more impactful. Also, it's not very apparent in this video, but you usually make small foreheads. I believe a simple 25minute face study can correct this issue that probably comes from the comic/manga-style face structure. Understanding the original can make you better at the stylized style.
Hi! Thanks for the advice I really appreciate you taking the time to type all this out 💜. I’ve been critiqued on how I draw heads before and I’ve been studying faces for a while but I still can’t seem to really grasp it. Hopefully I’ll get it soon. And I’ll try to experiment with different line strokes too! Thanks again :)
Man I know you aren’t professional but it looks so professional though I love ur art work it’s so detailed!
