I started reading this manga in 1994 when I was 13. This has always been my childhood favorite. It’s almost 30 yrs now and I’m still watching Conan… and I have a son named Conan whose appearance is just like Conan from when he was little to teenager except for my Conan loves flying fighter jets instead of solving mysteries 😬. Used to dress him in short, suit jacket, and red bow for Halloween. Now he’s 13 and loves wearing suit but still doesn’t love mysteries like his mommy does 😢
I still watch Conan despite the fact that I am 25, I get so excited everytime I hear this music. Great job for every one participated in producing this
I appreciate others who too can see the brilliance and originality of detective conan. Especially in today's time when so many animes, movies and shows are predictable and unoriginal. This anime manages to stay authentic and original. Have heard this ost since I was five and still coming back at 24. Forever appreciate this anime! ❤️

This theme captures guilt and regret and hope. I used to watch Conan when I was around 10, and I remember the feels of guilt and regret in those characters when they confessed, I always felt something dark and human when the music played, but i just couldn't have understood it back then.

I don't know why the heck DC is not popular among weebs.. I mean, it has the best storyline ever.. The main story is too good that it's almost unbelievable. Even the side stories and side characters are so well written and interesting af, fillers are really great to watch and really trickles your brain.. Remaining mysteries in the main story are intruiging af.. The movies are freakin top tiers with epic scenes.. You can tell that this show is made by super smart and passionate people.. This anime hands down have the best story ever in an anime and nothing can even come close..
I really don’t understand it either. There seems to be some kind of weird stigma around DC, but I’m unsure why or where it started. It’s so confusing bc in Japan and Asia in general DC is insanely popular and well loved, and for a good reason.
According to my research, the main reasons why DC was not recieved well was that the airing sched on tv was horrid, and that some episodes rely on japanese wordplay ,which don't translate well on english. Also I dunno if this counts, but apparently It had to be named as Case Closed, so that it wont be confused with Conan the Barbarian. As an Asian, its a damn shame.

The exception to this case is the movie naming ie. the world still knows the long movie series as Detective Conan. This change's also makes people who didn't know about this fact find it hard to find the show on other region. I also have a hard time finding the Tv series until I checked the recommendation and saw that it use Case Closed as the name for it, so it could be why

@Diamond Water I guess it'd depend on the antidote? Like the beginning antidotes were accidents like taking fever medication when very sick or drinking that medicinal wine, also when very sick. My theory is that if you weren't shrunken, the antidote would probably make you suffer a lot if not also just kill you. This is also depending on whether or not the antidote has to be tailored to each person who got shrunk or not, which would make results even more variable because maybe they wouldn't do anything at all to anyone else and maybe they'd kill anyone who it wasn't tailored for, who knows. Idk, nearly 1000 episodes in and we still hear nothing concrete for a permanent antidote. Even checked manga spoilers and got nothing.

@Diamond Water I guess it'd depend on the antidote? Like the beginning antidotes were accidents like taking fever medication when very sick or drinking that medicinal wine, also when very sick. My theory is that if you weren't shrunken, the antidote would probably make you suffer a lot if not also just kill you. This is also depending on whether or not the antidote has to be tailored to each person who got shrunk or not, which would make results even more variable because maybe they wouldn't do anything at all to anyone else and maybe they'd kill anyone who it wasn't tailored for, who knows. Idk, nearly 1000 episodes in and we still hear nothing concrete for a permanent antidote. Even checked manga spoilers and got nothing.

How do I explain the feeling that I started watching Detective Conan in 6th grade in 2016, and used to go to school listening specifically this almost every morning, while using my imagination as a child to think I was part of an episode with Conan- solving a mistery and stuff like that, while waiting excited to watch a chapter with my dad when i returned home- And now I'm returning to the Detective Conan side as I'm about to finish highschool, feeling extremely nostalgic in a way I can't describe??
