Testing out the web version, image loads ok and previews, but after clicking update slider button to get things going it is consistently disconnecting from server. I do hope this becomes successful because I really do enjoy iPad only processing
@@mercury7 The web version was available for a couple months thanks to viewers' donations, but I eventually had to downgrade it, so it no longer has full functionality.
Wow, congratulations on a stunning tool. I ran some of my rubbish old images through AstroSharp and they were transformed into something I'm proud of! Many thanks for your hard work.
Awesome job again! ❤ Shall download your latest version. The online version isn't much good too me as our internet upload speed is real slow. It would take me a hour to upload a 10meg file!
Thanks! I hope you enjoy the latest version. I'm not sure how long I'll be able to keep up the one version anyway, lol! But I thought I'd provide it for a month for those that the download isn't working for!
Hi, many thanks for your software, it works really well and not just for nebulae. I also tried to use it on photos of the sun taken with a Herschel wedge and continuum filter and I managed to highlight the granulation of the photosphere very well. If you are interested I can send you the original file after AutoStakkert stacking! and the next one performed by AstroSharp 👏👏👏
Hi, a question or two: What do you recommend, do the Dual PSF, then save, load revised image and then run astroclean? Hybrid gives me an error but you said not to use that really. Also, where in the total spring of processing do you recommend doing all this? 1) right after stacking? 2) I typically use Graxpert after stacking, though that may be doubling up with astrosharp. 3) 2 above + strething and then astrosharp? I joined by the way, really like the tool.
Thank you for joining! I really appreciate it :) In answer to your questions: -Yes, I would run the dual PSF then save and load that image again for astroclean -Hybrid right now is broken for some reason. I need to fix it, but haven't gotten around to it because it has issues even when it does work -I would integrate this after doing bg extraction and stretching. If you use Graxpert for noise reduction, astroclean probably won't be needed (but you can try!) I hope that answered you questions! Thanks again!
@@deepskydetail Just noting that I have to run the exe twice to use astrosharp. first time it runs and offers a blank window. I quit and start again and it loads fine. Go figure!
@@akessel1956 Thanks for the feedback! A lot of customers have this happen for some reason. It seems to be a flaw with "electron," the underlying framework used to run the R program. I hope to eventually find a fix for it. But that's one of the reasons I included the .vbs file.
How wide psfs do you work with? I’m interested in deconvolving Moon images by using the sharp edge - but the psf needs to be wide - probably a degree wide.
So, the psf is measured in pixels because that seemed easiest to me (i.e., there are so many different telescope/camera resolutions out there it would be super complicated to do anything else!). You should experiment with the highest PSF setting (8) and move down from there if it is too much.
Just trying this out. Had been using the older version. I seem to have it processing and even have a "your processed image" the cpu is still working hard so not sure what it's doing now? But pc is very unresponsive. Does it preview after nebula and them adds the star processing later?
The star and nebula processing happen at the same time. Does the preview show up at least? Or does everything seem to freeze when you do the full image? Could you put in what your system specifications are (i.e., RAM etc), and whether you're using multicore? Thanks!
I started to unpack the zip file - more than 46000 files! - my laptop (not the slowest one) says it will last about one day - very strange - can that be or did I something wrong?

Update, apparently the full size image is what is causing the disconnect, approx 12mb, if I leave preview checked it runs that small image

@@deepskydetail Its not a big deal, I don't mind running twice. I guessed that was the reason you included both.

Is there a link to download Windows binary somewhere? I keep hearing about this tool but never a link to the download.
