The MV is about stages in life and love . GD is adolecence, when one discovers sexuality , then move to datind , romantic love with Taeyang , marriage, kids , a mature love . Seungri's part is about old age , losing one's life partner . Korea is a conservative society and I think BigBang uses foreign models to avoid conservative criticism that they dirty korean women . As you notice most male kpop groups have no women at all in MVs , also because fans get jealous . BigBang also filmed a lot of MVs in USA . Loser from the same album was filmed in LA so maybe this was actualy filmed abroad too.
I just remembered this was a long time ago GD doing sexy dance with American dancer and he got alot of hate and accused him of "dry humping" the dancer. The netizens went crazy to the point the SK government decided to step in and investigate. And then they also criticise her like " how could she do that" and then her being confused as to what happened. When they found out that she's American all of the negative comments stopped.

Yay Bigbang!! The blonde is the one who left BB. His name is Seungri. He was an essential part of Bigbang. It will be very different without him (if they even make an actual comeback as Bigbang without Seungri, I have my doubts). I'm still heartbroken about what happened to him. I wish he would come back but it's not likely at least for a long time. And knowing what koreans, knetz and some kpop fans are like... not likely. It's a long and complicated story what happened and why he left but to summarise it was a super messy and a very public witch hunt. And anti-Seungri people, please read all the way through before hating on me in the comments.
I'll just give a very general story of how it went here for you: It started in early 2019 with the burning sun club issues (sexual harrastment in the club, money laundring etc.) and grew up to be the worst scandal ever. He got blamed for doing ugly things that weren't true (and yes it has been proven he wasn't a part of Jung Joon Young's chat case (secretly photographing girls and rape) at all and all the guilty people were sent to prison already) and some reporters even made things up to get bigger and bigger headlines and were later sentenced to prison for that. It got very dark and ugly. There were public appeals made for him to commit suicide... that is not ok. He was the most loved maknae one day and the next everybody hated his guts.
They started a full on investigation about everyhting about his life, work and businesses (he owned or co-owned clubs, restaurants etc) to find ANY sign or proof of his wrongdoings. They even forced him and all of Bigbang members to take drug tests, all were negative (south korea has VERY strict drug laws).They tried to dig up evidence against him for gambling (illegal for Korean citizens), arranging escort ladies for business partners in Japan etc for 3 years and got nothing. Now he got 1,5 years in prison because he admitted to the charges (god knows why, he's been adamant for the past 3 years and now suddenly he admitted guilty??). In my opinion they wanted to make a point in giving him some sentence atleast after all this time and made some kind of a deal with him. I bet he's very tired and exhausted after all this time.
The media has never cleared his name in the older charges about him so most kpop fans and koreans still think it's all him (they used his name at the start of the scandal (Seungri's club burning sun (he owned about 5% of the club and DJ'd there sometimes), Seungri's chat etc.) because it's Seungri, he was part of the most loved group and a very popular member and a megastar. The shock value was big. They got way more readers that way so the scandal was tied to him closely even though it never was him).
All the while the issues some of us are certain they wanted to cover with Seungri's case are totally forgotten. The SOPA scandal and the burning sun related money laundring cases spanning across South Korea that included some important people in SK. I still get so mad just thinking about this whole issue and how Seungri's life and career are ruined forever. Some people are starting to belittle Seungri's effect on Kpop while he was in Bigbang because of this.
If you are guilty you have to pay for your crimes but this witch hunt was way over the proportion of his crimes, which are at the level of gambling...
Sorry for the long rant. I'm just mad and heartbroken about this still and the amount of wrong info going around is still big.
SK has about a 99% conviction rate. That means they convict 99% of those who are officially charged. That includes people who are convicted after trial/appeal and those that plead guilty. Which generally translates to “your chances of proving your innocence in court are extremely low” and those who fight their charges are usually considered “unrepentant”. But if you admit your guilt and really apologize, you can go home sooner. And I’m sure those who are truly guilty are actually very sorry too. 😒
For those who don’t read into criminal justice, 99% conviction rate is absurdly high, as in the justice they pursue is more about the numbers than making sure that the right people are locked up away from those they can harm. It’s like test scores in Education, many high level administrators are more concerned with test scores than actually having educated students. Numbers don’t actually prove you are doing it right especially when it depends on how you present them.
I love the confusion when watching the MV because I was totally thrown off too, and I know some Korean so it's hilarious to share the feeling of ust what?? Uncertain if the "whoa"s early on were about the MV or about the word "naega" which means "me" or "I", but just wanted to clarify cus it's used a lot ahaha
