      Okay it was campy as heck i get it, but nowhere nearly as bad as anyone claims! You wanna know a bad fighting game live action adaptation? Freaking Tekken dude, now THAT is a really bad one! Left such a stench in my mouth just watching it back in the day! There were a couple more bad ones like KoF with Maggie Q as Mai Shiranui ughh...what? Maggie Q as Mai Shiranui Carl! HAHAHAh Then you had that campy DoA movie with Jaime Pressly as Tina Armstrong posing in every scene she appeared in instead of fighting LOL. That horrible Chun-Li spin-off with Kristin Kreuk as Chun-Li nobgody even asked, where each character is massively miscast. And don't get me started on some of the really bad sequels to fighting games like MK Annihilation, yet another Tekken movie and god knows what else! All things considered Street Fighter movie is not the worst thing that ever happened to fighting games live action adaptations, at least it had decent actors who at least tried to act in it, smething that can't be said about any others with the exception of maybe original Mortal Kombat, but that's about it!

    Yeah. This is a story, I’m sure has happened to a lot of people. Schwarzenegger butted heads with Dino DeLaurentis a couple times because he would tell him he was full of it. And they would have a dust up, but then Dino realize Schwarzenegger was right and call him back.
    Hard to find real honest people. Especially in entertainment. Bunch of phonies and fragile egos. A lot of people don’t like to hear real stuff.
    Real recognize real. Stallone hired Carl Weathers to play Apollo though he insulted Stallone‘s acting and was very cocky and aggressive with him. Stallone didn’t let his ego get in the way of the fact that Carl was perfect for the role.

    • @Billy-bc8pk
      @Billy-bc8pk 14 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      Stallone is probably the only A-lister where he put his ego aside to do what was right for the film. I can only imagine the horror stories of trying to get everybody together and direct the first Expendables. I can see why he passed on directing the sequel. But yeah you're 100% correct, Stallone also hired in Dolph even though he was very envious of his looks, height and intellect at the time, but Stallone knew that Dolph would make the movie better. Also, Stallone originally wanted Van Damme for Demolition Man (which is why Simon Phoenix was written to be a bad@$$ martial artist after coming out of the cryo chamber), but Van Damme at the time said he was not going to be playing as a villain anymore, so they scrambled to find a replacement (that script originally wanted Arnold vs Stallone and then Van Damme vs Seagal, and then Stallone vs Van Damme, but no one wanted to play the villain). It eventually went to Wesley Snipes, and thank goodness because he really made that role shine. But yeah, there appears to be one story after another of STallone attempting to put ego aside to do what was right for the movie.

    Don wasn't wrong about the script. Van Damme had to get hammered just to get through shooting because the script was so ridiculous. Raul Julia (R.I.P.) was in his last days, so he wanted to go all out playing a role for his kids to remember him by. And every other actor was using the movie for a solid paycheck or a tool to get their face out there.

    Van Damme had turned down Mortal Kombat 1995 (big mistake) and after the success of MK, he must have thought like "I was wrong about the Mortal Kombat movie" Street Fighter was a bad movie 😅 He made a few poor choices or must have listened to the wrong people at the time.
    Don "The Dragon" Wilson would have been PERFECT for Liu Kang's role in Mortal Kombat in 1995 👍 and Van Damme was originally supposed to be Johnny Cage which is what the actual video game character is pretty much based off 😂

I also understand Don never wanted to fight in a heavyweight division, so chose to stay in a lighter division. Sometimes acting along big names can catapult your career. Bruce Lee was under 150 lbs, and he had no problem becoming a Global Star. Its not the Weight that was the problem. Its that he lacks the required level of Charisma, as well as his poor Acting abilities.
      Also, the average Joe doesnt care about a fighters "Records". Only snobby fanboys, obsess over that crap... and they are a very small Minority.
      Also.. Bruce Lee didnt have sport records... but few sport fighters ever wanted to Tango with Lee. At best, they would be introduced.. get seriously impressed, and then train with Lee, to learn some of the stuff he was teaching.
      Finally.. being heavier, leads to a lot of Disadvantages in your fighting abilities. The more mass... the slower the acceleration, and thus the slower the slower the movements. Its also takes far more energy, to move that larger mass around... leading to quicker Fatigue. Depending on how you train, and how big you get... you can also lose Flexibility, and Mobility / Range of Motion. You also become a much larger Target, easier for an OP to score a hit on. And while you may have more mass power potentials on Impact... if the Opponent is much faster, you might not be able to score an actual hit... thus, it just becomes wasted energy.
      In fact, Bruce Lee bulked up at one point in his Career. He started to notice that his acceleration / speed was suffering... and as a result, he stopped lifting weights, and trimmed back down a bit... to regain his Speed back.
