I don't know if it's just my shitty ass keyboard, but the game never let me go diagonally down and to the right, which made this chase scene way harder than it should've been.
i was stuck in this room for a while because i didnt see that you could actually go left and kept getting caught when i went out of the steamworks and ended up searching the whole room for like 30 minutes before having to watch a video only to figure out there was a path that went left
It's true that you do run faster (about 1.4x what you should) but the movement in either axis is the same as running straight. So it's not really useful to go diagonally on the straight sections unless it helps you take the corners faster
The to beating this is go diagonal a lot and also make sure when there’s a small hallway you go as fast as you can because it’s harder for axis to catch up
Or just use shift to sprint, i always used x, but for me it was to many inputs so when i used shift it was much easier, but idk if it just me, hope that helps

In my playthrough (at 6:37:18 on my channel if anyone actually cares enough to see that godforsaken video), I got stuck on the fucking floor during the chase. Then, at the later part, I got hit with the energy ball at the end like several times, yet somehow never died. This video is quite literally a skill issue because even I thought I fumbled pretty badly at this part.
Skill issue Got it 3rd try in mobile Edit: on an unrealated note, if you die 0 times (deaths from macro froggit don't count) then the speech flowey says when you save in the hotland hotel will be different, he'll say "that can't be right" and he'll also tell you to die a little

When you run diagonal you go faster. So don't just run diagonal for the turns. That is the only reason why I beat this.

You should always check the options first in any game
I only activated auto sprint after this

considering how axis literally slows down every time you get caught on version 1.1, that's a pretty big skill issue my guy

İ once stand near the last thing axis bumps so i was not far enough to trigger cutscene so after axis bumped i could go aroun as i want
