When this MV was released I was still in shock because of the announcement of Miho’s departure. It was an uncertain time but I hoped that they would move on because I considered that they still had so much to offer. Basically, this song is the end of a chapter and the beginning of a new era for Lovebites. The live version is so good.
The music video was released after LOVEBITES' founder and leader Miho (bass) left the band for personal reasons and their hiatus was officially announced. The music video showed their footsteps and contained a strong message that "we will be back. They seemed to be deeply moved by the fact that they were able to perform this song at their first revival concert in almost two years.
Hardly anyone at the time was able to interpret this video and this song as you have. And at the time the majority of people who expressed their opinion on this song disliked it, said it wasn’t one of their best. I honestly believe that until they released the video from March 11th, most of those people had never, or hardly ever heard the song since, because they didn’t rate it highly enough and so never chose it. Suddenly, when the live version was released, everyone said how much better it sounded live. What they were actually saying (not everyone obviously) was that now they listened to it, it was a blisteringly good song all along. The first time I heard it I was caught off guard by Asami’s low register. So I played it several times that same day, and even on only the second listen I heard so much more than I did the first time, and every time after more and more. I’ve always loved this song because it told me that they would be back. I never doubted them for one second. So, just as the band themselves were really moved when they played it in their very first concert after their enforced absence, so was I, ten feet in front of Asami, loving every second of it.
LOVEBITES - Nameless Warrior lyrics: This is it, Living under the destiny to fight My doubts layin' silent in past Arm myself, I am ready to take the step into enemies Will you give it up?
What do you feel under the darkness? I search for light that I have never seen, taking step the way I believe Glorious innocence shined by the moonlight This is the beginning They will not see me surrender Bringing back memories I'll never let it go Now is the time we'll never forget Nameless warrior Hide the light that I found in my path I call it ''faith'' for now That is all left for me Shivering, too afraid of the night but I believe myself This is up to me [!] The truth and lies are in the mirror I search for light that I have never seen Stare inside, I know it's somewhere Glorious innocence shined by the moonlight This is the beginning They will not see me surrender Take my hand, I'll be there and never let it go Now is the time we'll never forget Nameless warrior No time for looking in past now Fears vanishing into the sky... SOLOs: midori (guitar) & miyako (Hammond B-3) / both (guitars) Broken piece of a soul Never heal in the rain And will there be end to this? Flaming up inside of me Giving me insanity The memories fading in my head and now I'm fallin' SOLO: both What do you feel under the darkness? I search for light that I have never seen Stare inside, I know it's somewhere Taking step the way I believe Glorious innocence shined by the moonlight This is the beginning They will not see me surrender Bringing back memories I'll never let it go Now is the time we'll never forget Nameless warrior ----- lyrics: asami music: asami, midori, miyako, haruna & Mao Recorded by Lovebites (Bass recorded by Miho) album: In The Beginning 2017 - 2021 [Miho era]
Live version of this song is great, but this studio version revealed all the instruments sounds more.. from vocal lines to the guitar works, including keyboards.. especially the unison by midori and miyako in keys that we could never heard in live version..
I have done alot of Live acts recently, just wanted to go back a bit and see what videos I could find. But I am more than happy to do this as a Live React too... maybe a full concert React. I'd love that
Ok, you like it fast. Here's the fastest one, Soldier Stands Solitarily th-cam.com/video/UJbg_8kYOYg/w-d-xo.html. Haruna goes crazy again and Asami's hitting the highest note. Enjoy!!
Unfortunately Bloodstock screwed up the sound for Lovebites so Wacken is better videos I'd avoid all Bloodstock videos unless you can deal with sound issues

This song chronologizes the journey of the band from inception to the time when their ex-bassist left.
WOW. Straight out the gate. Love it!!!

LOVEBITES - Nameless Warrior lyrics:
This is it, Living under the destiny to fight
My doubts layin' silent in past
Arm myself, I am ready to take the step into enemies
Will you give it up?
What do you feel under the darkness?
I search for light that I have never seen, taking step the way I believe
Glorious innocence shined by the moonlight
This is the beginning
They will not see me surrender
Bringing back memories
I'll never let it go
Now is the time we'll never forget
Nameless warrior
Hide the light that I found in my path
I call it ''faith'' for now
That is all left for me
Shivering, too afraid of the night but I believe myself
This is up to me [!]
The truth and lies are in the mirror
I search for light that I have never seen
Stare inside, I know it's somewhere
Glorious innocence shined by the moonlight
This is the beginning
They will not see me surrender
Take my hand, I'll be there and never let it go
Now is the time we'll never forget
Nameless warrior
No time for looking in past now
Fears vanishing into the sky...
SOLOs: midori (guitar) & miyako (Hammond B-3) / both (guitars)
Broken piece of a soul
Never heal in the rain
And will there be end to this?
Flaming up inside of me
Giving me insanity
The memories fading in my head and now I'm fallin'
SOLO: both
What do you feel under the darkness?
I search for light that I have never seen
Stare inside, I know it's somewhere
Taking step the way I believe
Glorious innocence shined by the moonlight
This is the beginning
They will not see me surrender
Bringing back memories
I'll never let it go
Now is the time we'll never forget
Nameless warrior

You really should check out the live version from Knockin' At Heaven's Gate 2023. Just as amazing if not more so.
Should’ve done the live version

The last LOVEBITES song with Miho! 🤘

Funny you say the whole band worked on the song.. You're more right than you probably realize. They're all credited for having written it.
