They are the happiest heavy metal band, the smile on their faces, they are so happy to perform to live audiences, they are the best live performing heavy metal band ever, lovebites rules, on aug. 12 they will be showing their "knockin' at the heaven's gate" concert 1pm.
I watched the premiere of the entire concert. Everyone has improved. It's hard to imagine this was their first live gig after a 2 years hiatus. Truly impressed and happy for them. Fami was great and sure looked like a perfect fit for them. Perhaps she might be a little to happy. Kind of missed the head banging, aloof expression and just bad arhse presence of Miho. She was a great part of the Lovebites stage presence, of metal. if not only the music. Wish Miho well in whatever she's doing.
Check out Hammer of Wrath from this concert. Hammer of Wrath is the concert opener and the love and support they give Fami is awesome! th-cam.com/video/pHrWRT0Jeac/w-d-xo.html I think this was the 11th song of the concert and they are still going 100mph!!!! Thanks for the great reaction!!!
They didn't like the firts version of it... The one with Miho, they were headbanging the whole song but said is "quite mid" and also needs some screaming, lmao. 🤡
I'm sorry, 🤗but there was 'The Awakening' before 'The Hammer of Wrath' (as on the album 'Awakening from Abyss', 2017). Knockin' at Heaven's Gate : 1. Opening (The Five Coffins) 2. The Awakening 3. The Hammer Of Wrath 4. Bravehearted 5. Don't Bite The Dust 6. Stand And Deliver (Shoot 'em Down) 7. Shadowmaker 8. Break The Wall 9. Dancing With The Devil 10. Piano solo 11. Liar 12. Judgement Day 13. Nameless Warrior 14. M.D.O. 15. When Destinies Align 16. Holy War 17. Glory To The World
This song did not grasp me at first, but after seeing this great live performance 3 or 4 times, I find myself wanting to hear it more. What a well crafted song!
Small correction - "Nameless Warrior" was not from their first record... it was actually the last recording with Miho before she left the band and was sort of a farewell, as well as looking to the future of the band. The song was included in the "In The Beginning - The Best of 2017-2021 release. Great track, but I think honors go to Haruna in this one. She is unstoppable... of course Fami is just... well... Fami! Outstanding! M&M just slay (duh, surprise... not) and Asami just seems to be floating on the energy. (Fami is 21 years old by the way). Rock on. Oh, and the solo you said was weird - originally it was played on a guitar synth or there was a heavy harmonized synth effect on the solo. Rather than *change it* Midori played it as it is on the original, but without the synth,. Maybe that's why you hear it as odd???
Not a synth. Miyako played a Hammond B3. This song primarily tells a story, not a platform to shred but to express emotion. imo. These guys never 'get the depth' of LOVEBITES, but I keep watching to see if someday they do... They don't 'get' that LOVEBITES doesn't play 'one-song then quit'. Until they watch a 3+ song segment of LIVE they will be thinking 'compare to other bands' instead of immersing themselves in the experience. I've tried. Not even a reply from them.
@@dregeye I agree with you. I've watched all the Metalheads' Journey reactions to LOVEBITES songs. Despite the fact that they speak well of the band, I got the impression that Metalheads' Journey (at least two of them) prefer to listen to very different music. Other musical tastes. This is probably why it is difficult for them to completely immerse themselves in the music of LOVEBITES and feel it.
Just a couple of minor corrections - Fami is currently 21, not 19. This song is not from their first album, it's the opening track from their "best of" LP called "In the Beginning: The Best of 2017-2021" which was released on CD at the end of 2021. This song highlights the chronological story/journey of Lovebites from the band's inception to the time Miho (previous bassist) left. There was another LIVE clip ("The Hammer of Wrath" : th-cam.com/video/pHrWRT0Jeac/w-d-xo.html ) from the same concert that dropped before "Nameless Warrior". You should check that out as it's a lot thrashier and just as awesome.
Nameless Warrior was composed in honor of Miho and composition credits are shared by Midori, Miyako, Asami, Haruna and Mao. Asami wrote the lyrics. Miho recorded the bass portion and it would be her final work with Lovebites. To be honest, if I were to attempt the difficult task of ranking all the songs in the Lovebites catalog, this would not be in the top half and maybe not in the top two-thirds. Lovebites really does not have a bad song - they have good, great and masterpieces. Nameless Warrior is very much in the good category. Playing this song at their first concert back was, once again, honoring Miho. The first song with vocals at this show (a two minute instrumental called The Awakening opened the show but not sure if they actually played it live) was The Hammer of Wrath and they released that live performance before this one. If you want to see Fami really shine on bass, watch The Hammer of Wrath. Not only is it her first song to be performed live with the band, it is the first time for her to play in front of a crowd of this size. She has probably played in front of a few hundred, not two thousand. When the auditions for a new bassist came down to the final two, The Hammer of Wrath is one of three songs the two finalists played with the band, so it is a special song to Fami.
I have always disagreed with the sentiment that this song is a tribute to Miho. I read it as Lovebites looking to the future and not surrendering to the adversity of Miho leaving. Sure, it's the last song with the original members. But a tribute? I say no way.
Now you know why the ladies nicknamed Haruna ( Drums ) Little Big Engine. Fami was 20 when this was recorded. They bought her a beautiful new bass for her 21st birthday. Not sure of the brand. But it's all white. with a nice black and sliver pick guard in a marble pattern, with gold hardware. Fami is always smiling like that no matter what shes' doing.
Well… another great live performance from Lovebites… they are always better live… especially this song in my opinion… I also would like to recommend a band called Destrose… a lot of today’s Japanese female metal band like Lovebites…Nemophila…Mary’s Blood and many more… their members came from Destrose… if you watch the music video… you guys would recognize some of the ladies… here’s the link th-cam.com/video/vgWwXA8WmOQ/w-d-xo.html

LOVEBITES - Nameless Warrior [live] lyrics:
This is it, Living under the destiny to fight
My doubts layin' silent in past
Arm myself, I am ready to take the step into enemies
Will you give it up?
What do you feel under the darkness?
I search for light that I have never seen, taking step the way I believe
Glorious innocence shined by the moonlight
This is the beginning
They will not see me surrender
Take my hand, I'll be there and never let it go
Now is the time we'll never forget
Nameless warrior
Hide the light that I found in my path
I call it ''faith'' for now
That is all left for me
Shivering, too afraid of the night but I believe myself
This is up to me [!]
The truth and lies are in the mirror
I search for light that I have never seen
Stare inside, I know it's somewhere
Glorious innocence shined by the moonlight
This is the beginning
They will not see me surrender
Take my hand, I'll be there and never let it go
Now is the time we'll never forget
Nameless warrior
No time for looking in past now
Fears vanishing into the sky...
SOLOs:
Broken piece of a soul
Never heal in the rain
And will there be end to this?
Flaming up inside of me
Giving me insanity
The memories fading in my head and now I'm fallin'
SOLO: both
What do you feel under the darkness?
I search for light that I have never seen
Stare inside, I know it's somewhere
