I have been a very good boy this year. The only thing I have not done a good job with is making enough time for fun but I have worked very hard to support my family and produce more hardened guardsmen.

Blood Angels week truly is the best week.

They are the most excellent melee fighters in a Legion known for their melee skills, the Sons of the Blood are paragons at heart and skill, and the sanguinary guard are the peak of those virtues and honors.

It's thanks to you and Wolf Lord Rho and the lore you shared about Sanguinius, Dante, and the incredible sons of the Angel that I finally tipped over the edge and bought a Blood Angels army as my very first WH army. And a unit of the Sanguinary Guard were the very first box I pulled from the shelves. Some of the best figures out in recent editions, for sure, and in-lore some of the brightest lights for humanity in a darkening galaxy. I'm sure within a few years people will feel some of the same frustration with BA prominence in the lore that has long been felt about Roboute's sons, but the glory and tragedy of the Angels and the heroism they and their father show have been a rock for me in dark times, and I'm so happy to see them as key figures in the story going forward, and with some of the best-written lore out there. Thanks as ever for bringing it to us with such gravitas and passion, Baldermort, it's always wonderful to listen to.
I'm not going to lie one of my favorite things about your beginning stories is how you make even the space Marines both loyal and traitor feel more human.

Makes me think of the Companion Knights of the Dark Angels of old, the Knights Cenobium. These Sanguinary Guard are truly beautiful units.

As always, between the beautiful artwork, the inspirational music, and the passionate narration...your videos never cease to captivate. This makes me so excited for your future videos, and I can't wait to see what you can do with other great heroes of the Imperium. It is because of your narration that I fell in love with Rogal Dorn, and I can only imagine what you're able to do when you focus on other primarchs and legends of the Imperium. Dante, Logan Grimnar, Vulkan, Lion El' Johnson, and of course....Sanguinus himself.

Did I watch what was essentially and 18 minute commercial of the Sanguinary Guard? Yes. Was it absolutely fantastic? Also yes. Never in my life has a video made me want to go out and buy a figure line than this one, not just cuz they look cool, but also becasuse of the fantastic narration and passion in the video but also the amazing story told at the beginning.

Here I was thinking that the Blood Ravens colour scheme and creed made them the most badass. Knowledge is power after all! Makes sense to guard it well.... But hot damn, the Sanguinary Guard look amazing. I'd love to buy a set but I would probably go broke xD

After just watching the DARK ANGELS LORE video as a Blood 🩸 Angels player it is nice to see this, very nice. And I honestly believe despite the speech at the end of that video us angels , the sons of Sanguinius, especially with the aid of Sanguinius would give the space wolves and the 1st at the very least a good running. Not in any boasting manner do I say this but in passion for the lore! Great videos Baldermort! Please keep them coming

I've probably listened to this 10 times , one my favorite
Another epic reading for an epic Chapter, thank you Baldermort! Given the quote about how the Primaris acting more generic / stock at first shows how much personality the Blood Angels chapter has. (Even when Dante went back to save the Imperial Guard on Cryptus and had the Guard and Sisters of Battle Commanders on his flag ship he welcomed them in to the main chamber and high council discussions, which most if not all other Chapters would not have done). It is there struggle, coping with the events of the horus heresy, losing Sanguinius and the black rage that I think inspires them to be the most honourable, graceful and distinguished Chapter and best representation of the Astartes whilst still being ferocious on the field of battle.
Just appeasing the algorithm, saying that i love the content, and especially the opening skits!

As you may recall from another comment, I'm not a Warhammer gamer, but in addition to being a game nerd, I'm an action figure collector and have been buying the 7 inch figures from Mcfarlane Toys as my chosen inlet to the Warhammer world. I'm currently painting up a Black Consul to join my Ultramarines and the next units we're getting in the figure line are a Sister of Battle and a Blood Angel Hellblaster. I've been lobbying where I can to get the Sanguinary Guard sooner rather than later. Wish me luck. I truly think that as you note how exquisite the minis are, they would stand out as well in huge articulated form, so it should be an easy sale.

I'm pretty tired right now, but... I think i might have missed a few important bits. How/why does one become a sanguinary guard? Are they a company? Which? If not, how are they organized? What sets them apart besides their equipment? Do they haves particular roles and duties off the battle field?
We should get into that under another entry. Just an introduction to these guys as I’m a bit tired at the moment. Been doing a lot all year so it’s caught up with me. So, all to be answered later on. Just doing biscuits at the present until I recharge. Apologies.

I'm also the kind of guy who would really like to know how the Adeptus Ministorum's tithing ties into the overall economic structure of the Imperium; Whether and in what form the tithes wind up in the pockets of the Departmento Exacta. Taxes are a riveting topic, right? So when someone tells me "The Sanguinary Guard exists, and they're Blood Angels with these cool items!", well... I've got questions.
That being said, please do less. Don't over-exert yourself or think less of your amazing creation on my account.

I genuinely used to view the marines as samey-sames across all various si-fi universe's. mostly because I had no true showing of the marines only superstition and bad memes (cough cough sigmarines, Smurfs ect) and now (mostly thanks to you balde) I see how great any faction can be with a good story and better story teller

One of the many reasons the 9th legion is my favorite is they are heroes true heroes, who struggle against an inner turmoil, but will fight to protect the innocent and good regardless

I remember when I first played against imperial guard and they landed in deep cover behind his troops. The next turn, they jumped over the terrain and multicharged into the guardsmen and heavy weapon squads. They silenced the heavy artillery and routed the guardsman. They butchered them all, without getting so much as a scratch.
Some golden marines, demigods towering over the little, frightened soldiers.
It was glorious!
I own the Minis for these guys!! I wanted to make them Dark Angels and I did but they are some of the coolest Units in all of the Imperium!!

Blood angels are my favorite when I first started warhammer it took me awhile to pick a faction. I was like who is this angel wearing the snow leopard pelt he's badass been a fan ever since.

@Baldermort just a curiosity, how do you feel about the new Sanguinary Guard models? It's been quite a divisive point amongst most of the playerbase. I myself sit the fence, as there is much in the new models that i love in terms of sculpting, yet like many, I miss the wings.
Alas, I detest them. 3 not 5. Dumpy not sleek. Wingless. They are the biggest step backwards in models I’ve ever witnessed.
I despise them and the person who designed them. Red ultra marines, as Gabriel seth said.
The worst thing is the newest art for SG was gorgeous. Then they do THAT with the models? Ineptitude Verging on spiteful.
Thats certainly an acceptable take on them. And considering the recent art, I can totally agree with it. Theyre also Primaris sized, which made me scrunch my face a bit. Like GW has just forgotten that theyre SUPPOSED to be Firstborn... or perhaps hoping everyone else has.
Being a Sanguanary Guard member is the place I would like to be. Only being a Custodes or Grey Knight would be more epic.
