- No day is better for visiting New York’s Chinatown than a busy Saturday afternoon. The locals blend together with the tourists and the streets are full of food and produce vendors. Today I am taking you with me to one of my favorite places for street photography here in New York City, where we will spend the afternoon in the busy streets, shooting some Kodak Color Film with my Canon A-1.

//ABOUT ME
Hi, I’m Marlene. Currently, I am temporarily living in New York City for three months. I am a student and normally study at a university in the Netherlands, though currently, I have some time abroad to work on some studies and projects for a bigger module. On this channel, I will document my photography journey and life while in New York. If you are interested in city life, photography, and videography, check out the rest of my channel! ♡
The sunlight was perfect for that film stock. Amazing
It definitely was!
Nice
Just discovered your channel from your last upload- I just got a canon ae-1 and am learning how to take photos and love seeing your journey its great inspiration and learning for me! 😊
Welcome! Very happy to inspire you, the Canon AE-1 is a great camera I heard a lot about it, have fun trying it out!
I think you are doing great on your journey, keep; it up.
Thank you so much🙏
I've used Color Plus also to shoot street scenes in my own Chinatown in San Francisco during the Lunar New Year. It does a great job with the red and gold colors which are predominate in Chinese culture. Are you shooting in shutter or aperture priority?
Yes it's really a great film stock when it comes to those colors! For street I mainly do shutter priority yes. I usually have my shutter at 125 when light conditions are bright, otherwise I do 60.
