Daggerwin, first off love the videos. Anyways I wanted to comment on feeding the pigs on fs17. I used the pig food pallet from the store. It takes about 6 pallets to feed the pigs to max capacity but it does fill all the requirements. I see this as a benefit because then you don't have to do individual trips for each grain type. To me as realistic farming aspect it would be much cheaper doing it this way because you are not spending money on a worker to plow, cultivate, seed and then harvest. I would say to complete your root crop a pallet should fill the rest of the root crop. It will accept partial pallets just like reloading your fertilizer or seeds from the pallet. Hope this helps. You shouldn't of planted poplars, they are an end game crop, i understand you probably of done it for entertainment of your videos but you won't be able to make any money from it. Also what i did was the grass area that you mowed, cut down the trees, lease a stump cutter and plough it in for a extra field. It isn't a big one at all, but ideal for growing sugar beet which you get a large amount of a small area, perfect for providing for your pigs. Leasing the trailed beet harvester is cheap for a fields worth, just like getting a contractor in. The small precision drill is only £12,000!
Contracting jobs are not just randomly dropped on the fields. Those fields are growing in the same timescale as the ones you own. Which means you can do contracting jobs on one field in a bundle. Starting from a harvested field: 1. Fertilizing, 2. Plowing, 3.Cultivating, 4. Seeding, 5.Fertilizing Or if the seeder is a 2 in one seeder, you don't have to fertilize. So you can do 4 or 5 jobs in a bundle on one field as a contracting job, if you go to a harvested field. After that, the field goes trough the growing stages, you can fertilize the field if you choose to or Harvest it. But it'll all be developed at the same timescale as your fields. So contracting jobs are not random and can be predicted or scheduled into your daily work on the farm.

Buy the Windgenerator! My first buy in FS15 and in FS17 as well. You'll never have any money issues, if you have one. Just need to scrape together the 1.2 mill for it and all your daily costs are covered and more. I also had 5 sun collectors in FS15. I'll have here as well, when I can scrape together the money. I'm looking to buy out some farmers though from the game. James and Natalie are 100% satisfied with me, so I'm buying their fields. And they'll be gone from Goldcrest Valley.

If you insist on using crop destruction module, which by the way has been updated so that narrow wheels do zero to very little damage, Please for the love of all things Farm Sim... get the GPS mod! It is fantastic, and works in the missions. And it is realistic, they have had GPS in farm equipment for almost 20 years......

I've spent quite a bit of time on a tractor growing up. On my tractor it was up to lower the bucket, down to raise the bucket, left to tilt up and right to tilt down.
For me the worst thing they did when creating this map was to have the unrealistic white pollen flying around appearing and disappearing. It is annoying and would be a great idea to remove it. I wish they had a mod to take it away. You’re videos are very interesting. there are many that do these on farming simulator but yours are the best👍
The building you were talking about at the pig farm? It's Scandinavian design as half of it is buried in the ground for warmth during winter. I believe that in most prairie states the winters are as harsh as any Scandinavian one.
Dagger just figured out that you can up you bonus on contracting work by speeding up your cruise control to full speed. I just harvested a big field and my time bonus was bigger than the payout. a little harder to control the harvester harvesting at full speed, but we'll worth the extra time bonus

Dear daggerwin if you buy only two cows then they will reproduce and then u can get more that's what I have done with the sheep and pigs as well as the sheep and now I she about 4 pigs 3 cows and still 2 sheep😩 So that would be my advice Hope you do that P.S: I'm on Ps4 and I have lost all my icons on the mini map and I was wondering if u know how to get them back. Was watching my father yea he's a big fan of you ( he's 64 ) and he's struggling make money in this game. He says FS15 was so much easier as you could just sell wood. My main point is I've got into it as well and wondered as I'm a complete noob to this franchise whether I should start with FS15 or just plunge for this edition
when you complete an contract job. just reclick the same job button. it goes thru all the stages of the field. harvest. poo spreading. ploughing etc right up to seddon it again. hope this helps.
@Daggerwin Why does your beacon light up more in the environment than for me? It's just like FS15, but yours look like it's improved lightning, more realistic. I think I have all on ultra and my computer is top-end.
the point of the roofs being like that is that when snow falls it doesn't land against the door, you would have an area to walk about without going into the snow.
This series daggerwin you should get a fendt 300 or 700 series with narrow wheeles and have it for spraying and fertilising also put a loader bracket on it too 👍
Chloe Waterfield you have to activate the indicator your self and once around the corner you then have to disable it too hope this helped yell out if it didn't help
daggerwin if you do a contract with a full field. you harvest it. do the next one on that same field. you fertilize it. and after that you will get cultivating then a sowing job. so maybe you could like do a field 3-4 times in a row pretty quickly

Daggerwin you can loade the train by first unloding wagon of grain (etc) in the green bilding then lining up one of the cariges with the loading point. then joust train it to you location and unlode (and train can take and amazing amaunt)

Get the forage wagon mod which is in the modhub. It's more interactive anyway because you have to replace the blades and add silage additivies

you don't need that wagon, you can bring bales to the feeding area. lease the cheapest baler :)

you also have to use an INDICATOR on the roads, unlike some people. (im not talking about you just some really bad drivers out there)
The game expects you not to have crop destruction, that's why it doesn't give narrow tires

I think the farm building with the eaves low to the ground are a traditional German style. Possibly due to the heavy snow.

A-Frames like the house you hit are pretty common in USA (Normally up north where it snows) I live up North and my camp is an A-frame

If you close the mission offer window, then open it again, it gives you a different offer/reward every time. Not just different machines.
Ooba_Shumozil it depends on the size and speed of the machines ie. the bigger the machines the less time and the less money earned
